Ank is an old man with an old man's attitude. He's wise and with that comes a sense of superiority and arrogance that he, unfortunately for young upstarts, has the ability to back up. He isn't the strongest or fastest of individuals anymore considering his age, but he makes up for it with his quick mind and his knowledge of other things, such as deadly poison and his habit of ambushing whatever prey he sets his sights on.
In truth, he's fairly ambivalent to the desires of others, preferring to live life by his own code and damned be whatever anyone else says or does. He firmly believes in death as the great equalizer for not even gods are free from Death's mighty claw, and sees it with equal amounts of respect and removal. He doesn't believe in mourning, fearing death, or anything of the sort because to die is just another part of living, and one knows not what comes after the final breath is taken.
The only things he can't really stand are senseless killing, poor manners, and an ego that are not equal to the bearer's age.
