Alexz's illusion smirked and rolled its eyes. The way the young ones viewed themselves nowadays was sickening. It was even more sickening that this young one thought she had a chance.

Her illusion laughed as Tokeru came to the defense of the little conceited vampire before her. It faced him and rolled her eyes again. The entire situation was ridiculous.

"Intimidating? Don't flatter yourself, love. And in case you didn't notice, your little love toy over there was "hiding" as well." her illusion commented.

Alexz sensed that Edith was attempting to track her scent, so she sprinted across the area, invisible to those around her, laying her scent everywhere.

Her illusion, however stayed in place and continued to speak, "She thinks she can take care of herself, Tokeru, so let her realize her mistake the hard way."

Tokeru sighed, somehow she had managed to avoid his entrapping shield even without moving at all.

He smiled, "well then, we'll take her down together. Come love, lets show this b***h just how we do it in Haven."

He dropped all defensive barriers, and focused on offense. First creating a small shock shield around himself, it would halt any bleeding for a few minutes and keep him fighting, or alive long enough to get actual medical aid. Secondly, he enhanced his strength and speed, creating a small sickly-yellow aura around himself. The color of plague and famine.

Without realizing it, the second part of Tokeru, the one that was brought out by the months of experimentation and torture did exactly that. Anything he touched would be drained, replenishing his life and draining the others, in increasing amount directly related to how long he held them for.

With a kiss to Edith, he took his scythe in his hands and faced where alexz was, dismissing the illusion as a fake and trusting his instincts.

"Lets play a game."

Kyrre
"Outlast me!?" he spits back, tossing his head back and laughing. "About five hundred years so far, think you can end it?" he continues, jeering.

He watches quietly as bright white light encases Will, like Angel wings cradling an incapable child and smirks. It was always the 'holy' ones who turned out to be complete nutters.

His ears p***k up, his nose had caught a familiar scent. This was an interesting turn of events.. he felt his stomach lurch. Thinking for a moment he was going to be sick, his eyes caught the wound on Gabby and her stance. She seemed.. less animalistic. The pain in his body moved to his heart. Beginning to sweat, he shrugged the pain and the look of confusion from his face off and clenched his fists. 'Rogue!' he cried inside. 'Is this the diamond!?'

Crackling silently with dark power, he slowed his breathing and looked towards Will. The ground around Kyrre began to seep with his black aura once again, creeping towards his target.

Kyrre wasn't bothering to dodge or get out of the way of his attack at all, he didn't even seem to be aware of it, and the psychotic other part of Will couldn't be more delighted. As the twenty spears of light stabbed down into the vampire however, he snapped out of it. Staring at the virtual forest of glowing spikes that obscured his sight of the vampire, Will felt sick to his stomach. It had happened again. He'd let Death take over again, even if it was only slightly. This is why the power scared him, it didn't belong to him and he knew it; it was the power of Death and if he borrowed too much then instead of controlling it the power would instead control him.

Having returned to his senses, he was finally able to register just how damaged his body had become from the surge of power. He'd probably creeped into the ninety percent range while he was uncontrolled. To reach ninety-eight percent would practically ensure his death, and he didn't even want to think about what going to the full hundred percent would mean. Will coughed hard, and bringing up his hand to his lips he saw them come away wet and red with blood. s**t. He could only pray that Kyrre was down, otherwise he might not be able to last long and still be capable of leaving the area under his own power.

((Kyrre, sorry if it seems I'm godmoding at all, but like I said you didn't even acknowledge the fact that I'd launched an attack. I think it's reasonable to assume that at least a couple of those twenty energy spears pierced you. I've left some room for you to do as you will with this, so it's your move.))

As Rikku and her paused from combat, Kerrigan looked over at Will and Kyrre, her eyes widening at the amount of power that Will was putting out. She had not spent enough time with him since his transformation to understand how his new power worked, but she had been a warrior for long enough to know that what she was seeing was massive amounts of power and energy at work. A few times she was forced to shield her eyes from the light, her vampiric fangs causing her to hiss slightly as a natural reaction to the immense light surrounding them.

Her attention then turned to Krii and Rogue, still engaged in combat. She wanted nothing more than to go and help him, but she knew that Krii wanted Rogue to himself. She could not help but think that it had something to do with her...but that was his business. Her eyes wandered over to Tokeru and one of the elders she was less familiar with, Alexz or whatever her name was. For all she cared, she would have liked the elder to rip his throat out, but then Edith would be devastated...this looked like the final battle.

When she had turned her attention back to Will and Kyrre, she saw the immense attack he released at the vampire elder and flinched slightly. This was not a Will she knew...this Will was blood thirsty and savage...he was a threat to all of them at this point.

"Will, stop!," she called across the docks, unsure if he would hear her or not over the sounds of battle all around them. She at least had to try. Unfortunately, that meant taking her eyes and focus off Rikku, an unprofessional move that she had not made in years.

((Sorry I thought you were just showing off xp ))

The blindingly white spear shaped wings shot towards Kyrre, covering his body from view in a prison of shafts. A few were lodged in his torso, another through his left arm, and another through his left leg. Pinned to the spot he opened his mouth to smile, black blood slowly trickled down his chin as he grinned widely.

He looked for a moment as though he was trying to do something, concentrating on a force that would not manifest. "Sorry Will" he said. "I can't die just yet, I have an appointment with somebody" he explained.
'Ea.. the diamond.. the others will explain..'

His concentration was broken by a sharp pain in his chest.
"Get it out!" he screamed in agony, his yell chilling the air further. His black blood spilled from his mouth onto the shafts of light protruding from his body, and a dark mist began to swirl around him. He clutched at his chest and gasped. The spears cutting into him instantly turned a putrid, rotting black, and this aura began to spread quickly not only back towards Will, but in every direction as the mist swirled faster and faster.

"You say you touched Death"
he taunts, his voice no longer his own. It rasped and growled, confident and angry.
"Well it wants you back!" he yells, an explosion of mist following the taunt. Rotting, pure death spread quickly from Kyrre's position - A brilliant bright light emitting from Will as he crackled with divine power. Both were in way over their head.

Will barely heard Kerrigan's pleas, he was so focused on Kyrre. He could now see the vampire, and the sight chilled his blood. At that moment, Kyrre looked very much like Will knew that he did, struggling with some borrowed, inner power that wanted control of the physical form that it had been lashed to. The sight filled the hunter with a terrifying knowledge as he looked at the black blood pouring out of Kyrre turn putrid and vile. 'He's just like me.'

This, more than fighting an Elder all on his own, filled him with dread and near panic. He knew how dangerous he could be when Death was in control. The hundreds of Mauser's men that had perished horribly at his hands without even a chance to truly fight back was proof of his other's potential for carnage. If Kyrre or the other vampire Elders had a similar personality behind his power... God help them all.

Desperate to slow the spread of darkness, Will flung his hands straight into the air. Following the motion, the remaining four light-tentacles that he'd created in his out of control state, the four that had been burrowing into the ground behind his back while hidden from Kyrre's sight by his own body, exploded from out of the ground around Kyrre and his dark aura. The beams of energy shot up into the sky, and with a clap of his hands they came together at the apex of their ascent, energy spreading between the now joined pillars of light to form a dome around the vampire an his energies. It was thin and it wouldn't hold up long against a concentrated, powerful attack, but it would buy precious minutes.

Exhausted, Will fell upon his hands and knees, the energy form surrounding him dispersing into the air as he vomited up both the contents of his stomach from the day and a worrying amount of blood. God, he felt like his body was practically on fire, or had been rubbed raw and bloody by cactus leaves. That last spurt must have topped him off at ninety-five percent or so. Just another little bit, and he'd probably have died within minutes if not instantly. Reaching out blindly for his axe and finding it, he propped the weapon into the ground and used it to help him get to his feet. Swaying, eyes going blurry, he turned and shouted out orders through the blood and bile filling his mouth. "FALL BACK! KRII'OUSE, KERRIGAN! FALL BACK! GET BACK TO THE VEHICLES AND REGROUP AT HAVEN!"

Stumbling in the direction of his hunters, Will cursed weakly as he tripped over a piece of debris and fell flat on his face. Forcing his torn muscles to lever his beaten body up to stare at the fight still taking place, he coughed out his orders again as even more blood dribbled down his chin. If Kyrre got free before regaining some degree of control, then they wouldn't stand a chance at this point, he just knew it. "Fall back..."

Kerrigan turned, grabbing her magnum in an instant and shot three rounds at Rikku before pivoting and shooting three more at Rogue as she was still engaged with Krii. If Will wanted them out of there, then she was going to make sure that she got everyone out. Thank included Will.

With her magnum and combat knife still in hand she took off in a sprint towards Will, leaping on top of a pile of crates just in time to see him trip over some debris. The vampire in her was telling her to let him reap what he had sown, but Kerrigan would not leave her leader behind, even if it killed her.

"Will, we have to go," she said urgently, keeping her eyes on the containment dome that Will had created around the elder as she went to work hauling the man to his feet. She positioned herself so that she would be able to support him, though her battle with Rikku had obviously taken a toll on her strength. She was tired...dried blood most of which was her own, was beginning to crust on her, but that did not stop her...the two of them would make it if it was the last thing that she ever did.

"Everyone fall back! Tokeru, Edith, back to Haven," she called out once more, repeating the order that Will had shouted a moment ago. She might not have been a leader, but she would be damned if someone was going to be left behind.

It overjoyed Edith to hear her Angel speaking to her as he used to before he'd been forced to under-go his torture all laone without anyone to help keep him sane, to let him know that they were there for him and hadn't abandoned him. To hear his voice the way it had been when he hadn't been battered and broken was simply yet complicatedly filling her with a huge spark of courage along with joy. However, though she was extremely elated to hear her Angel speaking to her as he used to, she did not allow it to become a distraction as distractions killed people when they were in the midst of battles. A distracted opponent was simple to out-maneuver as well as strike down since they held a lot less regard for their safety than they normally would. This was indeed a reason that fighting alongside a loved one could prove to be rather perilous since it caused them to worry about one another and sometimes they could be reckless in trying to assure the other was not harmed.

Eden loved fighting alongside her love because she knew that she could trust him with her life and that she could leave her back exposed to him without having to worry about him stabbing it. She trusted her Angel as much as she trusted her brother with her back, perhaps she trusted him even more. That was the advanatage of fighting with loved ones as you could trust them to protect you with their life as they could trust you to watch their back with your own life. Then again, it could lead to dependence upon the other person, which wouldn't exactly be a healthy thing but Meredith knew how to take care of herself long before she'd had Tokeru to watch her back. She didn't rely upon others to make up for her mistakes, she took them as she went and never stopped trying. She'd been on her own for quite a qhile so she was much more indepentdent than she was dependent upon receiving aid from others.

Upon hearing Kerrigan pleaing to her brother, Edith also unprofessionally risked a glance over her shoulder only to find herself unable to peel her eyes away from the blinding sight. Her brother was surrounded by energy and she couldn't look directly at him so instead she focused on Kyrre in the darkened shadows. He then began to bleed black bile or perhaps it was black blood that he'd tainted himself, who knew. Whatever it was, it was disgusting and Meredith really didn't want to look at the elder any longer and yet she found herself unable to look away. Not long after, Kyrre began attempting to spread the tangible aura of death amongst the people congregated upon the dock and that was when her brother had taken action. She watched Will trap the elder and heard him shout his orders for Kerri and Sethe to fall back. She assumed that he'd want her and Tokeru to fall back as well but she wasn't about to leave her brother behind.

As Eden began enhancing her speed once again with her vampiric strength, she realized that Kerrigan was also headed for her brother. However, Edith had a clear shot at her brother as Rikku was more off to the side of the dock and Rogue was kicking crates at people, more or less out of Eden's road. She managed to bee-line to her brother's collapsed form and though she'd been fast, Kerri was still faster and had managed to get to her brother before her. "Kerrigan," Edith decided to convince the vampire with the logical outlook on the situation, "you pull out and take yourself. I've got my brother. You're injured and I'm barely touched so you get yourself out of here." She now had her brother supported up against her, prepared to carry him within her arms and zip him out of there if it was needed. "Tokeru," Meredith shouted across the dock to her love, "we need to get Lydia out of here too. I'm not sure if she's alright or not can you check up on her for us?"

She couldn't help but wonder where the hell the lycan elders were and why the ******** they hadn't shown up when Sethe had requested their aid. They were the ones that'd prided themselves in killing the vampires for so many millenia. They'd carried their grudge for the vampires with them for centuries and professed in slaying them and yet they hadn't shown up. What the hell was going on? Was Sethe unable to get a hold of them or had they flat-out ignored his pleas for assistance? As many questions as she had, Eden knew that here and now were not the time and place to be pondering such matters. She had to get her brother out of here and assure that Sethe, Kerrigan, Tokeru and Lydia made it out alive as well. "Kerri," Eden urged, "get going, I won't let anything happen to him, I'll be right behind you!" She elevated her brother off the ground, realizing that he was very sore and that he'd probably broken bones but he'd more likely die if she didn't get him out of here as opposed to picking him up to ship him off. "Will, stay with me, alright? I'm here, I've got you but don't you dare bugger off on me. You're a dad now, remember that."

Rogue moved back quickly, avoiding the first swipe, then slammed the butt of her sword into his wrist of the other arm. As his jaws lunged forward, a hand grabbed his throat before the jaws reached their mark.

Rogue dug the silver claws she was wearing into his neck, then kicked at his chest.

((Busy weekend, sorry))

Krii'Ouse howled in pain as the silver pierced into his neck. The sword's pommel slamming into his wrist did little, and Esou was forced to step back a few paces as the Elder kicked him in the chest. He regained his composure, and reset his vision on her. Growling intensely, he ignored the cries of his friends to fall back.

He was enraged. Infuriated to a point that he saw only red, and his eyes iridescence was a deep dark red. He was no longer speaking, only growling in hatred. The growls held an ethereal echo, and he slowly, unnoticeably grew another three inches.

He charged the vampiress again, charging on all fours. He leaped up, and lunged at her chest, to tackle her over. As they would land, he'd bring his claws up, and slash at her face.

Alexz made the illusion disappear and appeared not too far away from them.

"I've been alive for a long time, I'm done playing stupid ******** games." she said harshly, her eyes narrowing on the pair.

Her eyes darted to Kyrre as she heard his cries of agony, but she used to her mind to keep watch on Tokeru and Edith. She frowned as she felt his pain and felt the need to help.

"I'll get them out." she told him telepathically.

Focusing on being gentle with what she was doing, she numbed his nerves and used her telekinesis to smoothly remove the spears without causing too much pain.

Angered by the sudden burst of movement around her she frowned and attacked the minds of those around her, intending to create an intense pulsing pain in their minds.

As Edith came over to them, taking the weight of Will from here there was a surge of conflicting emotions. She was infuriated that the huntress would think that she could not handle the situation, but at the same time grateful that she would take some of the weight from her.

"Fine," she said taking out her magnums.

"Follow me, and stay tight. We need to get out of here ASAP." Moving forwards she was sure to be on the guard for anything that might try to attack them as they made their exit. Turning to yell at Krii that he needed to get the hell out of here, instead she let out a yelp of pain, her hands, still holding her magnums, going up to her temples as she could feel her mind throbbing in pain. Shaking her head as if to try and get the pain out that way, she forced herself to continue moving forwards, trying to keep her focus on the area around them and not on the pain in her head. It was nearly impossible, but she had to remind herself that her priority was getting the hunters out safely.

"Krii, let's move," she said loudly, her own voice sending a pulse of pain through her as she continued to cover for Edith and Will behind her as best she could should someone try to attack them.

Rogue kept an eye on his eyes. She always tried to keep an eye on their eyes...the rage taking over. His force knocked her back, they landed several feet from where they had previously been. Kerrigan's bullets missed her narrowly as Krii had sprung at her.

She kept an ironclad grip on her katana as they landed. She slammed it into his back the best she could while they were in the air and released it, leaving it there.

His arm went high as they landed and connected with her pale face. Her neck snapped to the side with the force of his hand, and his claws making their mark. Blood flew off his claws, and a roar that sounded like a large feline came out of her. She quickly dug the silver claws into his chest above her.

It was then that a hand came up and grasped at Eden's shoulder. "Wait..." Still somewhat weak, Will managed to roll out of his sister's arms, bracing himself against a building. Reaching into his coat, he pulled out a syringe. Gripping the safety cap with his teeth, he yanked it off and nearly instantly he had the needle stuck into his thigh. As the plunger was pushed in, Will sighed with relief. Morphine, one of the great marvels of the world. With the pain gone, his energies could focus on healing him; assuming of course that he didn't pass out. Another syringe, this time a mild stimulant, took care of that issue and ensured that he'd be ready to fight again in a minute if need be. Gail and her perscriptions were certainly earning her paycheck today.

Steady now, Will wiped away the blood from his mouth and chin with the back of his sleeve. Already he could feel the power, now at a much lower level and therefore controllable, working for him rather than against him as it began healing the damage that it had caused. Of course one way or another he'd wind up in a hospital bed in the infirmary, this was just a stopgap measure that would keep him on his feet for a couple more hours.

Turning to the two huntresses, Will smiled, not the terrifying grin that he'd worn into battle but the same old comforting grin that so many identified with William Jackson. Even if the effect was partially spoiled by the blood staining his teeth, it was probably a comfort to see that he was himself again. His voice had strength returned to it, and with that strength came command. "Edith, Kerri. Pull back and make sure to get Lydia to safety. I'll see to getting Sethe and Tokeru back here, you just have the engines nice and toasty for us when we get there. Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm not going to die tonight, but damned if I'm going to let any of my people die either. Now go, that's an order. Trust me."

Taking off at a light but steady jog back the way he came, Will spotted Alexz as she concentrated on attacking their minds. Holding his hand out, he murmered a prayer to focus himself as he tapped lightly into the power again, knowing that it would buy him at least another hour in the infirmary. "If they should despise thee, Lord Jesus, let them be accursed upon the earth and driven out. Oh Lord come, amen."

As the words passed his lips, wisps of the power swirled and congealed into his open palm, eventually forming a sphere the size of an orange. With a grunt of effort, he hurled the orb of pure energy right at the vampiress' feet, detonating it with a peal of flashing light and thunderous sound as the concussive force lashed out at her, albeit weakly. That should disrupt her concentration and lift the mental attack at least. Hellbringer held more firmly in his grasp, Will ran as fast as he could over towards his blood brother. They had to get out of there before Kyrre could break free. Their survival may depend on it.

Kerrigan's eyes were on the fight between Rogue and Krii that was still raging. Oh how she wanted to jump in and help, but at the same time, Will's words were law in her book. Turning, she practically forced her attention away from them as she headed back to get Lydia as was asked of her. Problem was, she didn't know where Lydia was.

"Edith, where is Lydia," she called out, the persistent pain of the mental attack throbbing once more. It was really quite excruciating, but once again she forced pain from her mind. Lydia...focus on Lydia.
