I like swords, more specifically Hu Tou Gou. I like how their build is.

Both of which are interesting, but spears, pikes, and similar weapons are much more useful for infantry combat... before they came up with guns, anyway. rofl A good formation is a terror on the battlefield, and the kinds of tactics you can use with axes aren't very good against them.

guns broke everything, which is why they don't count.
I like hook swords because when you go dual, you can use both of them as an extended sword.

You could say the same thing about a variety of advancements in warfare. Cavalry, for example, was EXTREMELY broken until they came up with ways to counter it...

And it's hard to get more distant and still be directly attacking someone than with a long-ranged weapon. ^^ Although the Hecate II isn't so much an anti-personnel weapon as an anti-material one, particularly well-suited for disposing of larger and more heavily-armored targets...
