Meat raffles are a real and popular thing in the midwest.
On Friday people go down to the VFW Hall (Veterans of Foreign War -- every Midwestern town has one and it where everybody has their wedding reception) and you drink and win various cuts of meat.

I'm a fairly private person on social media. Some time in Dec, I replied to my friend Amy's post about Doctor Who. About 1/2 an hour later, I got a friend request by someone who also replied to her post. (BTW... Amy's posts/profile are VERY public. Anyone can see.) She said we had similar interests and wanted to be friends.
Just like on Gaia, if I don't know you, I ain't adding you. So I deleted her req.
Last night, a different friend (Nina) got a message from her. She said asked if she knew me and my mom. Then she said "her friend" hadn't heard from my brother and was worried about him. Did she know if he was ok.
When Nina checked it out, she had remembered that she had sent her a friend req. She also saw that she had friended some of my friends, as well as some of my mom's friends.
I don't know who this person is (her FB profile screams sock puppet), but whoever she is, she seems to have extreme stalker tendencies. I can't help but wonder if she's after my bro or not.
BTW... I don't post about my brother. I barely post about me! xd I'm not even FB friends with my bro! Neither does/is my mom.

I had a chat with my bro. Seems he figured out who she was just from the clues left in her FB profile and the current locations of her friends. Seems he met her thru the match.com app and chatted with her for a while. While they had a lot in common, he wasn't really feeling her, so he told her he wasn't interested. He closed multiple accounts (inc. match, FB, twitter, instagram).
A little while later, someone tried talking to him on a new twitter acct and he figured out it was her and ignored blocked her. (FYI they had NOT dated at all. Just chatted a bit on the match app.)
I believe she may have tried to friend my mom (mom is rather annoyed at FB and all the friend reqs she gets. While she's EXTREMELY social IRL, she's not at all social online), but my mom deleted/ignored a whole shitload of friend reqs. She then tried to friend me, but you know that story. She must've went thru my pics that are public and tried to friend anyone in them.
All I can say is that this chick has HARDCORE stalker tendencies. My bro only chatted with her and she went to this extreme. I'd hate to see how she'd act to someone who actually went out and dated her! gonk

Happy belated Thanksgiving to you guys too! I haven't signed in for a good week I think because I've been busy working. I have been worn out from work between the three jobs but seeing the pending paychecks on my bank account is nice. heart So how has everyone been? I've been alright minus all the working, but I'm also looking to get insurance again soon. I'm really hoping I stop procrastinating as the insurance I'm going to try for is through work and there's a small window of opportunity to get it.
Basically my plan is to get insurance, get seen about my feet and lower back and hopefully get those taken care of so that I can go back to work at Kwik Trip full time. If I'm able to do that, then I'd be able to quit Hot Topic and Gamestop after the holidays.
I can't even begin to imagine working more than one job at a time. gonk Let alone over the holiday period.
I've been good thanks - plodding along in my usual fashion, playing too many video games. The standard. biggrin
I usually like sticking with one job, doing multiple is hard work. It helps that they're all part time though, so it really isn't that bad.
I have been playing more video games lately too. I was playing Super Mario Odyssey for a bit, didn't get very far into it before another game caught my interest. xd Been playing Skyrim again on the Switch, I made a hot lady. xd I got Overwatch for my ps4 so I've been playing a little of that! I suck at shooters because my aim is atrocious, but I really like Overwatch so far. I also recently got ESO since it was on sale, and I got the one with the Morrowind expansion. I'm still not too far into it as I've only been able to play a little here anre there, but so far I'm enjoying it.
Yeah I have a habit of getting distracted by other games when I'm trying to focus on one... sweatdrop
I could never get into ESO, though that could just be because all I want from an MMO is Star Wars Galaxies from years ago... crying
I don't blame you, it's definitely not for everyone. Even though I've been playing ESO for a while now I feel like I still don't really know what I'm doing. rofl But I am having fun so that's all that matters right?rofl
I had a dream where I met Stream and Luna, and we went on some kind of adventure to clear a house that was infested with dire rats.
Needless to say... Stream is a machine. eek I've never seen such efficiency...

xd Here's a few of them typed out exactly as written. (I'd take a pic and post, but I doubt anyone could read my half asleep writing.)
3/4 - I was given a skein of yarn. The end of my skein tangled around the end of someone else's skein & I got accused of stealing from her stash. It was a huge ordeal.

4/5 - I was late for school because some girl was in my shower & took my backpack. When I finally got there, the always locked door was opened by a leaving RDJ. I managed to catch it and go in, but I got all turned around. HP, Ron, & Hermione were rehearsing for & play. I was handed a crispy kitten, but woke up before I had to eat it.
4/10 - This dream was SO Funny! I'm surprised I didn't laugh & wake myself up. I can't remember all of it, but Johnny Depp was Tonto who was an alien. There was a casting call he kept trying to sneak into with Castiel. Plus he was preggers w/Castiel's baby! There was other stuff, but it's fading away too fast.

WHAT'S UP LOSERS! rofl
So, I'm alive. I know some of us are friends on FB but you may not be on often enough to know, but work kicked my a**! I had to work eight or nine days in a row last month (maybe more, my memory is foggy), have one day off and then work two or three more. I have done three jobs before, but it was never this busy before since I wasn't really scheduled much then. I assumed it would be like that now I guess, and that's part of the reason I did it but boy HOWDY was I wrong. I was getting scheduled all the time at Hot Topic which I wasn't expecting, although now I am no longer working there. The manager said she told me about inventory and when it was, which she did not. If she had I would have requested it off from Kwik Trip, but we both are stubborn/hard headed so we're both right to ourselves. ANYWAY, I said I couldn't do it and she wanted me to call the store. It was the same thing, but I couldn't do it because of my schedule and then she said she was taking me off the schedule then since "holiday help" was technically done. She was fairly nice about it, but knowing her as long as I have she was probably pissed. *shrug*
There isn't much I can do about it, and even if I had gotten stuff switched around I would have had to call in anyway. After being knocked off my a** for a week with a bad cold, my boyfriend got the cold. At one point he had to go to the ER and with how sick he was he was unable to get out and do his UBER to get the rest of his part of rent together. His mother was an angel though, and was able to help us out.
Speed forward a bit, after being back to work for over a week guess what? I GOT THE ******** FLU! Luckily for me it was mostly a 24 hour bug, although I keep experiencing nausea (no I'm not pregnant, I have my period) so that's not fun. Also, guess what? MY BOYFRIEND GOT THE FLU TOO! gonk
I felt so bad that I shared two sicknesses in a row with him, especially since his side of things lasted way longer than mine ever did. I am also a little annoyed about getting sick again, not just because it happened so soon but because it impeded on my plans for my birthday. So I did a whole lot of nothing when I wanted to actually go out for once, which for me is big because I would much rather stay inside away from people.
Sorry but not sorry this is so long, I just wanted to update all of you in case you were wondering if I died or something. rofl I hope everyone's Christmas was good! Mine was full of work on Christmas Eve and Christmas day, but then I had the 26th to myself. At least with Christmas Eve I was only working until 3:30pm so I had time to spend with family after. I couldn't go with my boyfriend to his family's place on Christmas, though they sent home gifts with him for me and my cats which was nice. I was very surprised though, because one of the things I opened is what I asked for. eek A while ago my bf asked me what I wanted because his mom was asking, and I said 'an electric griddle' because Marceline had just broken the one I had. I honestly didn't expect to get one, let alone the one they got me. So when I opened it I ******** cried like a little b***h. I know it was expensive because it is a copper titanium ceramic griddle, and to see that just floored me. His family and I have very different views on a lot of things, and the fact they got something so nice for me had me in shock. Even now just thinking about it makes me want to cry, and I already cried twice on Christmas when I opened it! rofl I've been doing a lot of crying lately because of people being so damn nice, even with small gestures I just can't.
I guess I'll stop babbling for now, but I'm back bitches! OH! Also, I got insurance! I have the card, now I just need to see if my doctor accepts it and if so then I need to make an appointment to be seen. Then from there hopefully get something done about my feet and back hurting all the time, and then possibly go back to work at Kwik Trip full time. That is my goal so that I can quit Game Stop too.
