So....I almost told a customer '******** you' tonight. He started freaking out on me after I ID'ed him and wouldn't accept his ID as valid. The year was there, but there was some weird bubble over the first two numbers. He tried to say it was still valid and I didn't need to see the first two numbers, but I still wouldn't take it. I tried pressing down on it a little to see if I could read the numbers, and he accused me of smearing it. -_-

I will be surprised if he doesn't call in to complain about me. But the boss can watch the camera feed, I didn't do s**t other than not take his ID. I ******** hate people...customer is always right is BULLSHIT. Because of that saying retail workers get walked all over and most places don't care because all they care about is $$$. Honestly I'm almost prepared to lose my job over this..I'm so done. I love my coworkers but ******** the customers, they can go to hell (except the good ones of course).

I just want to hold on until at least December...because where I work has a bonus for everyone that works with the company, and I could really use that money for bills or Christmas gifts. ********* YOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU GUY! /rant]

I think you were completely right! You can be fined for selling to somebody under age! (At least in my state you can?) It isn't your fault the guy has a bum ID. If your workplace gives you s**t for this...they are crazy. You couldn't get onto a plane with an ID like that...and you were doing what I am sure you were trained to do.

Thank you. I will honestly be surprised if this guy doesn't call to complain, but I guess we'll see. I was super defensive when he accused me of 'smearing' his ID when I said that I didn't, so that I could have handled better. But if work does give me s**t for it I'm still not worried about it. Even though I know I couldn't live off of it being minimum wage, I'm officially starting another job soon. I am only doing it for holiday for now, but worse case scenario I can do that instead of my main job. The manager wants to keep me on past holiday help but I'm still undecided about it.

Let me set the scene for you all... The craft sale is on Friday at 11am. I have had this fabric for MONTHS. Months. I start cutting everything on Sunday. I have worked EVERYDAY on these things for 12+ hours. I just finished at 9:47am today.

I am so ******** tired. Don't last minute craft, people. Just don't. emotion_zombie

I avoid this problem by not crafting at all.

Point out to your manager that a legit proof of age should not smear in this day and age. Double down and ask them if you should have taken an obvious fake and potentially left them open to fines or loss of license (depending if that was for tobacco or alcohol) instead of rejecting it. Maybe even get corporate involved if that's an opportunity.


Hell, even offer to apologize if he can present you the complaining customer's id and it passes his muster.

Second thing, I start my new job at Hot Topic today! It's only for a few hours though, so it's probably just for paper work and going over the rules/regulations, etc. I'm a little excited/nervous, but I know I'll rock it because I worked at Spencer's for almost eight years. Sure, the system will be different but it doesn't take me long to figure registers out anymore. heart
I also noticed at my main job my availability change request was approved. So I will be working there Monday-Wednesday, and the rest of the week is open for Hot Topic and Game Stop when they manage to schedule me. SO NO MORE WEEKENDS AT KWIK TRIP!!!! My feet are going to ******** hate me, but I need the money for bills and hopefully some Christmas gifts.

Right now I'm just browsing the Book of Face and Gaia while sipping my coffee. Pretty soon I will have to get ready to leave. smile

So on and ending note, how is everyone? Also does anyone here have a Switch? I would love to play Mario Kart with you guys again!

I've just got home from eating at an "all you can eat" buffet that opened in my town called Tangs - they do all sorts of food from Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Italian etc. It was pretty good, and I'm at that stage of being full that isn't too uncomfortable... But it was pretty close!

I have a Switch! Mostly been playing the new Mario game on it, with a bit of Stardew Valley (thanks Pi...) thrown in. heart

Thanks! I'm still undecided if I want to continue working there past the holidays, but we'll see. For now I will be working there anywhere between Thursdays and Sundays so I still have Monday-Wednesday for Kwik Trip. I also still work at Gamestop here and there.

Wow..sounds like it would be an awesome place to go to eat, the only buffet I have here is a Chinese food place. Last time I went there I didn't over eat, but my stomach was reacting badly and I threw up in my mouth a couple times after. So I probably won't go there again even though I like the food.

I have the new Mario game too but I haven't played it yet. I honestly wish I had a way to stream on Twitch on the Switch, but I don't. It's possible but also very expensive so it will be something for the future, so for now it's just my ps4 and PC if I ever stream Sims. xD

Gosh that Halloween event sucked.

I finally managed to get all the items and achievements today. (It ends tomorrow.)

I know you guys don't play them...but oof. This one was rough, Gaia.

Well, at least the dueling was. I was ready to quit at level 6 because the grinding of levels was WAY too tedious. The cat game was really fun though. I wish they would have just done that instead of the dueling...or would have at least FIXED the dueling game so it was fair for everybody.

That kinda reminds me of the debut of GCorps Halloween event. The servers were overloaded and I managed to kill all the zombies I needed like 2 minutes before the event ended. Shouj and I got different labcoats (we each got 2 of the same) and we traded so we each got 1 of each.

Still better than the first Halloween event. I never did get more than 2 items that first year. (I think I got the shirt and pants. I bought the gloves and KK hat later).
