"Don't get technical. And I was just yelling...even at him. That doesn't even phase him. I honestly don't know what to do with him anymore Zahara. If I push, it doesn't work. It I don't push, it doesn't work. I let him have his way and it doesn't matter, I try to restrict him and that doesn't work either. I'm out of ideas, save for beating the ever living attitude out of him." Shaking his head. "He knows where she is though...and doesn't seem too eager to break from her, despite what he says."

"It phased him more than you know. He shrugged it off like he always does but there was a glimmer of something else in his eyes, too. He's being defiant because he knows he screwed up but doesn't want to admit it. He did it for your approval and earned your censure. I'm not saying that's wrong, but that's probably what he's thinking." Shaking her head once more and leaning back against the back of the couch still watching him. "That's because he had sex with her."

He crossed his arms and gave a snort. "Yes, I know that part too. I just don't like to think about it." Sleeping with the enemy, wasn't that a fun one to add to the ever growing list of things happening. "This is trying for us all, but he could at least be a little more helpful. I don't like having to bully him for information."

He hadn't responded well to her touching him earlier but she was pregnant and she needed the contact. Sitting back down beside him, she rested her legs in his lap and settled as though she was going to take a nap. "You think I do? My baby boy is having sex. Sex, Sevilin!" Shaking her head and resting her hands on her stomach. "It's a good thing I drug him. Last thing we want is another pregnant elf, especially not one from Neriak." Chewing on her lower lip, she quirked an eyebrow. "Would you be helpful if you thought you were just going to be raked over the coals about it?"

He reflexively rested his hand on her leg, rubbing lightly and giving a sigh, talk about stress. He was feeling loads of it within the last few months or so. "Sometimes I feel my age these days, I swear." Shadking his head to that before slanting a glance over to hsi wife. "Yes it is a good thing you're drugging him...I don't think he's enjoyed himself thus far. He's not peacocking." Raise of an eyebrow though. "Are you planning on doing that to me?"

"Understandable. There's a lot going on and it gets tiring. We've almost finished raising one kid and we've still got four more to finish up." Instincts were such a b***h but they'd been through this often enough that she knew it was just his reaction. He wasn't thinking what she was and that was probably a good thing. Still, couldn't help that quickening inside and the sudden desire to lock the world outside and indulge. Yet another reason he couldn't cut his fingers off. She frowned at his inference. "I don't want that for him... I don't want him to ever experience it the way you or I did." Yawning and snuggling down more comfortably on the couch, she blinked. "Drugging you? Raven, I already do."

"Neither do I, but again that's one of those choices that he made himself. You can't change it, only hope to think he learns from it or from what we've even said to him." Patting at her thigh lightly with somewhat of a lopsided grin. The quiet in the room was good for him. "I meant coal raking. I know you drug me...I can taste the difference in the food. Even if you say it's tasteless, I can still taste it. Need I take you upstairs to rest and lock the boy in the closet?"

No, she didn't like it but he was right and there was really nothing she could do to change it. "You cannot." Chuckling, she pushed herself into a sitting position then shifted over so she was straddling his lap and rested her forehead against his. "I like you too much right now to rake you over the coals. Besides, I'm all mellow right now so no to the first, unless you're planning on staying with me, but you might really want to consider the second. Tying him up would probably be a good thing, too."

"No really, I can. Or maybe it's just a texture thing." Shrugging lightly and closing his eyes, trying to concentrate in his own head so that he could clear it some. He didn't like feeling all the way he was right now...it was almost overwhelming. But his attention came back to her as she was feeling affectionate despite his mood. "I'm in charge of things right now, much as I want to hide away in a room with you, I can't. As for Zykariel...I'll figure something to do with him." he would probably hate him more and not even listen but yes it was his job to talk to the boy because of this all. Not looking forward to it. "Can't promise it will make anything personal better. As said, he's been at odds with me for months. Suppose this is payback for those younger years I had, hm? You're the favorite now."

She couldn't help the twitch of her lips that was almost a smile as she leaned back some to shake her head. "Regardless, you still have to take it. Though I'm not drugging you right now, wouldn't be a point to it." Her gaze traveled over to the door and she rested her wrists on his shoulders, sighing. "Maybe later then. You have to reverie sometime." She didn't much like the conclusion he drew and quirked an eyebrow. "He hates me as much as he hates you right now. He wants to be an adult but he's too young to handle the world and deep down he knows it. He resents it but he knows it. Besides, I called him a traitor."

"Which is why the food tastes different." Tilting his head at her and watching her for a moment. "Or pass out in a coma so that I do. One of the two things. But I have tier'dal to beat answers out of. I know this isn't just happening because it is. It's too organized." Shaking his head. "Well he has to learn that we still know more than him. And we both know that Malik would never go to suck means when it comes to him. Or at least I wouldn't let him. It's all got to sink into that boy sometime."

Snuggling down in his lap for the last few seconds she actually had with him, she rested her cheek against his shoulder and sighed. "No but I don't know how else to get through to him. I've tried and tried and I'm as sick and tired of it as you are."

"Noted." Shaking his head and resting a hand on her back before rubbing lightly, then duly slipping his arms around her in manner than let him pick her up bride style, and getting up himself. "Regardless of boy troubles...you need rest. I'll settle what I can and then join you." Thusly taking her upstairs and to their room, letting her turn the knob before he kicked the door open and moved to set her on the bed, then turning his attention on his son, grabbing him by his shirt and more or less dragging him from teh room and into the nursery, directing him to a bed. "Lights out." Moving over to Kel and checking on him, before it was a scribed room that put a lockdown on the room. No one got in but him and perhaps Zahara...and no one got out. "I'll come get you in the morning." Thusly exiting the room and pulling the door closed.
After a night of yelling, interrogating, and less than fruitful things...he had duly fallen into bed next to his wife, but got little reverie and was up before her. A check on her and the like, leaving her to reverie and he went to the nursery, removing locks and walking in. "Get up Zykariel." Didn't check if the boy was already up or not as he headed over to fetch an already as usual awak Kelligrin.

Did he really have to be such a b*****d? He groaned under his breath but noted his father's tone and rolled over with a frown. Oh look, little brother got the positive attention while he got screamed at. As close to screaming as his father ever truly got. "I didn't do anything. And I already told Mom everything I want to talk about."
He was indeed awake and, while not as happy as usual, still pretty happy to see his father. Arms up in the classic pick-up gesture, he snuggled against his father's shoulder then glanced over at his big brother and gave a wave with his tiny hand. "Kariel sad."
Her body was doing strange things, which wasn't unusual at the beginning stages of a pregnancy. Of course she was in reverie longer than normal since her body sucked up energy like nobody's business. Making her way downstairs, she realized pretty quickly how tense the household was, starting with the staff injuring themselves. Grabbing a servant to get her medical kit, she sat down and went to work on the kitchen staff who'd had an unusual amount of burns, cuts, and other mishaps this morning.

"I didn't say I wanted to ask anything, nor did I accuse you of anything. I merely told you to get out of bed." Patting at Kelligrin as the child nuzzled him, looking for some affection in all the tension. "Maybe he'll be happy later." Moving back to his oldest, he plopped a hand on his shoulder and more or less guided his son out of the room, down the stairs and into the dining room to the table. "It's breakfast time." Settling Kelligrin into the high chair that was ever present to be pulled over to the table, he wandered into the kitchen. "Let's get breakfast out of the way people. I have growing boys and defenses that need fed." Blinking then as he noticed his wife. "I expected you to be out longer. What are you doing?"
