I am terrible at vending.
Case in point? I once sold an emo bag for 66k.

Yeah. I'm lucky I have little attachment for the pixels, cause I've given away billions over 8 years.

So I was at a running contest yesterday as a participant. xd My time was horrible because I can't run 10km (6,2miles) so I mostly jogged and walked but I wasn't the last one and I had lots of fun so I suppose it was a successful contest.
We gathered a large group from my workplace but in the end I went through the race with few of my colleagues who kept similar pace. The track was decorated and lined with lights and music so it was really a great sight seeing trip also. whee
What I'm most proud of is that I did it, survived it and wasn't even nearly the last one. I'm not a super athletic person so attending to a contest like that where there are people who really can run fast was high, but luckily I had my friends with me so we just had fun.

Reminds me of when I had to run around the school track when I was in elementary school...I was one of the slowest runners, but so was a friend of mine...we'd be the last ones to finish but we just laughed and chatted as we went around.

Yeah - good for you Lily smile I'm not a runner myself. I enjoy other types of exercise but always seem to psych myself out of running. Maybe if I did like you and had other people around me to talk to and distract me from thinking about how I don't like running.... lol

What is interesting to me is that Finland has four seasons, none of which are conducive to going outside, much less running about.

I've heard driving school in Finland is really intensive, that they practically train you to be a race car driver before you get your license. It'd be like a state here in the USA that trained you to be a sniper who could hit bullseye from a mile off before they let you even consider buying a gun.
I can, however, thank Finland's driver's ed system for producing Miika Hakkinen, because he's a phenomenal driver.

Is that really true? Maybe Lily can shed some light smile @Random - I love riding my bike too. Now that both kids have learned it's been a lot of fun for all of us to ride all the bike trails around here.

How about "the hot hairy spider" instead of hot potato and bobbing for worms in apples? hehe those sound like fun. I'm always scared to host kids parties at the house. My fear is that everyone will be bored and get cranky. So far they've been ok but it's a lot of work. One of the activities I usually do is a themed treasure hunt. You hand one of the kids a clue to where the next clue will be (you can draw pictures if they can't read yet). At each (or every other) new clue is a small treat or prize for everyone and then a larger one at the end. The kids take turns reading the clues - and you can always put their names on specific prizes if you think they would fight over who gets what.
