Yeah, it's kinda like Pokemon, but without types. Or plot. Or NPCs. So...mostly just cute animals and lots of grinding levels.
It used to be pretty awesome, but they gutted the reward system, so it's getting harder to justify putting in the time or effort when you get less than Daily Chance spits out. Buuuut it's still cute animals, so I haven't given up on it yet.

There's been a lot of bitterness going around since Gaia's made a few unpopular choices in changing things that had been established and understood about the game -- rewards at the end of battles, rewards for leveling up, and most recently a huge change in their "splicing" (i.e., breeding) system that puts it out of reach of a lot of players -- but I expect if you're not used to things the way they were, it's not all so bad now. Once you get to higher levels, or if you can gather enough of the in-game potions (mostly healing potions, but also some of the others) to sell on the MP, the game is still probably one of the more profitable non-Cash things on the site.
Although even LK caters to cash players, with the strongest Kin coming out in the cash shop.
I don't know. I'm just a little irritated at how Gaia has handled the game and the changes they've made, but I'm still playing, so obviously not that irritated? sweatdrop You should give it a try if you're curious, see how you like it. (And if you want to play, I could send you some extra Kins to try out.)

I really wanted to get the Pip Boy edition, but when it kept selling out and I wasn't able to snag one, I never ended up pre-ordering. Still waffling on whether I should give up and get a PS4 & Fallout 4 now, or just wait a while to see if prices come down a bit, since I don't have much time to play now anyway. (Then again, I've got vacation coming up at the end of the month...)
But yeah, if you ever want to kill time on Gaia, LK can certainly eat up some time.

I've already bought the game. Now I just need to buy the system during the Black Friday sales. sweatdrop (Aaaaand I might be getting a new TV too, because why not. Mine is old and I can't read the writing in games because it's too tiny. I've got my eye set on a 60" and I have vacation next week, so I have big plans of setting up a shiny new TV, PS4, and Fallout 4 until I drop.)
