What is this that Mista's building? Something for this guild or for his guild?

I would highly recommend Drakengard to anyone. It's a GREAT game. Never played Drakengard2 though unfortunately. the game doesn't real deal in "money" like I said, but the basic premise is that you are this hardcore badass character, and in this world, there are people who make 'pacts' to gain power.

Like for example, the main character makes a 'pact' with a dragon, which binds he and dragon together, but as a sacrifice, the man's voice was taken, but he is now UBER strong. And basically, you run through enormous levels just MOWING down armies... literally ON YOUR OWN, but then again... you can also summon your dragon to help. But yeah, you find weapons, or gain them through special circumstances, then you GRIND YOUR a** OFF, with those weapons opening up different levels of power within them... and there are like 64 different weapons you can attain and you can carry around 8 of them with you at a time in any level and switch between them freely.

...in retrospect, it's not very similar to XRP at all, but still a good game. I guess a better analogy to XRP is Final Fantasy Tactics... you earn job points, you buy skills, etc...

But Drakengard still kicks a**. (and the plotline gets really insanely cracky and just goes full on japan craziness eventually). Not to give too much away, but there is a character who you join forces with, a woman, who made a pact with these elemental spirits, and she lost the ability to bear children... and just totally lost it and is insane and refers to everyone as her children, screaming maniacally, "WHERE ARE MY CHILDREN!" as she kills droves of people and cannibalizes them.

...man that game was sweet.

o.o
Wow.

Anyways, your statement of swapping weapons and making them stronger demands I recommend Ratchet: Deadlocked. It's part of a series, so might be a bit confusing to new players, but it's got all that. You buy your weapons, and then using them in battle you gain experience in both your weapons, and yourself. You gain HP, and the weapons gain levels, becoming more powerful per level. It's really quite awesome, especially when you get a friend and play it in Coop mode.

You know, I was thinking that it kinda resembled Fable three because each weapon ( aside from the Hero's Weapons you start with ) Has three criteria that if you pass then you upgrade it giving it a special ability.

... Buuuut then you mentioned the woman cannabalising people...

But yeah, FF tactics was pretty good. I don't know why, But I can't get motivated to beat the second FF tactics advanced. It just seems kinda... thrown together in the beginning.

YES! THANK YOU!

...FINALLY! Someone else who has played that game! It was a dumbed down version of RPG from Japan to America, to try to introduce us dumb americans to RPGs, but that game was EPIC.

I remember playing that game start to finish several times. Reuben was the s**t... loved that Lava area's music.

Anyone here played the Disgaea series?

...another game come Highly recommended. You can literally level ANYTHING in that game, from healing items, to items which stat boost EVERY stat for THOUSANDS, or TENS OF THOUSANDS (once level high enough).

Plus you can create as many character as you want and there are tons of types. Plus you can make ninjas. and in Disgaea 2, Male and Female ninjas. Havent gotten a chance to play disgaea 3 yet.

Soul Nomad... another good, albeit insanely cracky RPG with a VERY unique style. very plot driven, but fun.

I miss playing Diablo 2: lord of destruction. As terrible as the graphics are compared to now days, it had some fun gameplay. Best line in it, "Not even death can save you from me!"

I think I got Disgaea 2 for my psp for christmas. Haven't got to play it yet. I haven't played any from the series actually. So I was wondering if it was any good. From others and you, i get the idea it is. Do I need to have the first to play the second?

No, you don't need to play the first to play the 2nd at all. New characters, new plot, etc...

Some of the characters from the first show up for a cameo... but still, its not required to played Disgaea to understand/enjoy Disgaea 2. Personally, I think the story is way better in Disgaea, but I'm sure you'll enjoy Disgaea 2. (one of the endings is really disturbing...)

Not all of them. Ofcourse i tend to train like crazy so i'm 10 levels above everything. All those monsters that normal people would avoid, i attack just to see if i can beat it. Leaves for some long battles though.
