Hopefully, it's something not as severe, and more easily treatable... heart cat_cry heart Oh no! sad I realize this is late in replying, but I hope the test results came back with good news.

They're going to take more blood, I think, to see if the medicine is helping normalize her levels. Hopefully the high levels are because of an overactive thyroid rather than something else. Right now she's found a sunny patch in front of the window and napping, as kitties are wont to do.

Phoenix Goliathane Hope it's just hyperthyroidism! How's she doing now overall - is the medicine helping? Hmm, it's kind of hard to tell. She's only been taking the medicine for a few days, and it's a small dose. The vet said there might be a little bit of experimenting with the dosage size before we find the dose that works best. I think it IS helping, but not as much as I would like. If she can actually gain a bit of weight by the time of the next appointment I'll be happier. But, and maybe I'm being overly optimistic, I think she's doing a little better.

I just Googled it - it usually takes a few weeks for stuff to resolve with hyperthyroidism, so maybe you just aren't seeing results yet. smile In fact, I think it said 2-3 weeks, so if it's her thyroid, sh should improve by next week.) When's her next appointment?

When's her next appointment? June 19th, I believe. Exactly 3 weeks after the last one, so it fits right in to that zone.

That would be very good news if it just turns out to be a thryoid issue. I hope it's all good news at her upcoming appointment. <3
