Zero Omega Oh Straaaaaamjoomperrrrrrr~ http://youtu.be/ax5lfDVjF3w Yeah, I was pretty excited when they showed that. Kane can tell you, since he was the first person I mentioned it to when they first announced. It WOULD have been Kin, but he's pretty scarce these days. Now if you'd just figure out how to put games in your always-on ESPN paperweight... stare I need people to play Defiance with. They finally give me a console sci-fi based shooter MMORPG, and there's not a single AGer in in sight on XLBA these days. Should I mention that they have life-sapping/healing guns in case Mala's listening?

Lately I've been playing a looooooot of League of Legends though. xd

Holy s**t, guys. The postdoc that works downstairs was Googling the name of one of the undergrads who's trying to work for him over the summer, and the second link was a Gaia forum where she explained her steampunk name.
I was like, oh lord. Anti-Guild. Do you still exist? Are you still there?
AND LO AND BEHOLD.

LunaInverse I can't believe it's March already. Where has all the time gone!? rofl Tell me about it. It really doesn't feel like this year should already be mostly done with March.

Dunno what my next game is after that, but I've got a backlog to catch up on. XD

AG will always exist, even if it's just Zelo stealing one of the servers in case of a Gaia bankruptcy and hiding it in his basement. On that note, Zelo, get an apartment with a basement.

Streamjumper It WOULD have been Kin, but he's pretty scarce these days. Not to make excuses, but I've been working on seminary paperwork for the past three months. Thankfully, the hard work is done, and now I just have to wait. It feels as good as I thought it would to actually have something to report to the guild. whee That said, SAINT'S ROOOOOOW, BITCHES! Streamjumper I need people to play Defiance with. They finally give me a console sci-fi based shooter MMORPG, and there's not a single AGer in in sight on XLBA these days. Should I mention that they have life-sapping/healing guns in case Mala's listening? I might be willing to look into it. I've seen it in passing, but I don't know how much time I'd have to devote to it.

I mean, I'm used to it never really getting that cold in California, but 80+ degree weather in March is just unpleasant and doesn't bode well for summer.

As much as an extended winter bugs me, I'd rather that than the insanity that is living in California. You guys can keep your mudslides, earthquakes, and brush fires, thank you... xd

So, one of my Kickstarter projects (from a small established gaming company rather than an actually indie outfit) has decided to be a raging bunch of dickbags. Long story short, they gave us 6 months worth of semi-legit delay excuses on the translation and production of a supposedly ready-to-go card game they licensed from Japan. The kickstarter ended early August, was estimated to ship September, and got nickel-and-dime delays until the beginning of last month when the copies finally made it to the US. At the very beginning of last month they sent us the first truly annoying update, that the sets of 12 collectors buttons included in all but the less than 300 orders of just the game itself for $35 were mysteriously held up by Chinese customs. So, they made the decision to only send out the KS rewards to the people who had nothing but the game itself. For reasons I can only speculate on, they opted to NOT ship everything else (including packs meant for gaming stores backing the project containing 13 copies of the game, a few playmats, and promotional packs intended to push sales) and eat the postage on the buttons when they were slated to arrive two weeks later. This would not have been so much of a problem, but some tool at the company (Japanime Games) opted to green-light full on retail distribution of the game at this time. Our only notification of this delightful snafu was when some of our people reported seeing copies of the game, Kanzume Goddess, at their local gaming stores... sometimes for less than the $35 bucks we paid (these reports are usually about $30, some at $25, but most places seem to be selling it at $35ish). So now more than 500 of us don't have a game that we paid more for than people on the street are playing before us. Better yet, some places have already sold out and been resupplied since then. We also found out that JAG is including 2 of the 4 promo cards that we thought were supposed to be uncommon in any copy bought from their site's store. They're saying that this is legit, and it technically is, but seriously, WTF? They also just announced today that they're selling the non-exclusive version of the playmat in their store too... We knew it was non-exclusive, but the timing is kinda insulting at this point. Marching on in the parade of shitbox customer service, we got told that the buttons came in about 2 weeks ago now. We were told first that last friday (the 29th) would see everything shipped. Then the following Sunday we were told that it would be done by the Friday that just passed. With no explanation whatsoever, and the usual display of monotone mea culpas. In the meantime they've fallen a bit behind on the Tanto Cuore expansion they ran on IndieGoGo since it'd have given them too many KS campaigns at one time for the rules of KS. They've also launched a campaign for the Krosmaster wakfu miniature game. Amazingly, whenever a new campaign begins they stop talking to anyone from their old campaigns except for pop-ins every month or two to give us a vague excuse or tell us someone new will be handling us since whoever was there before was silent enough to cheese us off. The final straw was that this week after we got angry enough the marketing biscuit in charge of changing our litterbox said she sent an email to the people shipping stuff to us. This was supposedly Thursday at 4PM EST... to a company in the middle of the country... On Friday we pestered her further and she said that after the the shipping center didn't respond she said she had the president and another high-up from Japanime Games send them an email too. Well, two days now and we've heard from absolutely nobody so far. So now I'm taking to twitter to share some links with people tweeting about their current project. The last time I did this, Hila retweeted it and the whole thing resulted in some swift attention. Now I'm hoping you guys and anyone you know can share the story of how this company continues to mistreat its customers even after admitting the whole issue was a "slap in the face" and pledged to "make it better". Here's links to my tweets. https://twitter.com/Streamigator/status/321007702396518401 and https://twitter.com/Streamigator/status/321010490040000513 I beg thee to have at them, my loyal minions.
