....Yeah, I never got that effect.
I've always hated writing essays and most of the irrelevant crap they tell you to write now a days.
Like..the other day- My brother told me he watched sponge bob for a week in his language arts class. I asked him if it was something special they were doing and he's like; "No, we always watch that stuff in class."
Makes me wonder what the hell they're doing with children's education these days.
It's not even about the sponge bob thing either. I've noticed that they don't teach a lot of kids what they taught us at our age.

I really do wonder about your brother sometimes. =_=;;
But yeah. I went to private school until seventh grade. Eighth grade was quite a culture shock for me--especially since I'd never taken the WASL and was thus placed in the lowest level reading and writing classes. I had to spend a year listening to illiterate morons attempt to read Judy Bloom books out loud. ATTEMPT.
In seventh grade in my private school we read Shakespeare, wrote tri-weekly essays, dissected six different animals and memorized literally pages of scripture every week.
Since leaving, I've only had to memorize one poem, about four stanzas long in a high school public speaking class.

I wrote a short story that was supposed to be 1-2 pages... That wound up being 12... I had to shorten it or get a 0 on it.

That's not a story, that's a waste of my time. gonk

So I had to settle with the short version, which sucked in comparison

Compared to all of the training I just completed, my AP essays were nothing. I think that I only had to do about D rank essays the whole year, for an AP class!

Back in Harbor ridge, my teacher made me write a story that was supposed to be at least five pages long.
........I got a side note that I found mildly insulting.
I could have sworn that she was hinting something about me being on drugs or some s**t.
xD.....I had a very active imagination back then.
Note:: For the record I have never done any sort of drugs. >____> I don't plan to either.

Then she started giving me a lecture about drugs.
I told her that I wasn't doing drugs or anything, sometimes the pills I took made me tired and sluggish as hell. (You remember that. xd ) But I didn't do any drugs.
I called mom, she pulled me out of school that day because I was really upset about what the counselor said.
XD....Mom took care of that though. 'Cause after she got off the phone with the counselor, I never had a meeting with her ever again.
Though after that, I dropped the medicine the doctor had me on. They were doing more harm than good. xD

BUUUUUDDDDDDDYYYY~! He was such an a**-hat. He was trying to drop books on the table next to your head and stuff and I had to kick it into ninja-mode to catch 'em all, while simultaneously bashing him under the table with my Shin-Kicking Boots.
Annoying, but satisfying--especially when I swung at him with both legs and he hopped up onto his chair L-style in fear. xd
...You just slept through the whole thing. sweatdrop
