 “Okay mes chers, the final step of your jutsu training will be the nawanuke. As you all most likely know, de “Rope escape technique” was inappropriately named. Dis technique is actually used to escape pretty much any trap, not only ropes. So, dis training will be fairly simple.”
Mokujin paused for a second and rolled one of his scrolls open on the floor. He placed his hand in the center and focused his charka as he unsealed its content. From a cloud of smoke appeared Tokuori, his trap puppet.  “Hey hey kids! How you all doin’?”, said the large puppet once Mokujin finished linking it to his chakra system.
Mokujin then addressed the students again: “De examination will be dis: each of you will jump inside Tokuori and will be locked inside. De interior spikes will not be deployed for dis exercise do not worry. Using your charka and your natural ability to escape traps, you will have to work his mechanism to escape as fast as you can. You will be timed and your success will depend on the quickness with which you will find your way out.”, he explained.

Hiru was so proud from his last attempt that he thought he'd go first ofr this training. Without letting anyone else get a chance to raise their hands he rsuhed to the front of the class and jumped right into the large puppet, that immediately slammed its stomach shut and locked its mechanism.
Hiru, while he was locked inside tapped a bit on walls of his little prison, trying to find where the mechanism could be located. He had a general idea of the spot since he had heard it locking up but he needed something more specific than that if he was to unlock a complex system of gears. After a few staps, he had pretty much identified the mechanism's location and was ready to proceed.

Hiru wasted no time, as soon as he found where the lock was he started slightly shaking the door as he let his chakra slip into the lock to facilitate its movement. After only a few tugs and pull his immensely strong chakra for a boy his age had completely overwhelmed the simple, unique lock that Tokuori had sealed and jumped out of his stomach, raising his arm to the ceiling with a loud "YES!"

Masanori actually laughed out loud(but quickly covered his mouth with his hand) when Hiru jumped out again just after being in the trunk of the puppet for a couple of secounds. "Wow.. This boy impresses me so much. It's insane". He stood up when Hiru had finished his celebrating and began to walk to the enormous puppet, and on his way, Masanori couldn't help himself to compare his body size with the puppet. "Well.. I am sure that I can fit in it" the embarssment of walking into the puppets stomach knew no limits, but eventually he climbed in and got locked inside. "Hmm.. Dark.. My best option would be to press anything that is inside. To just get a feel of where I am and what kind of material, crack and openings there is in here."

His finger brushed every single inch of the tight space he was in, looking for any kind of button or trigger that would open a patch but the search took to long and he'd bet that Hiru didn't use this technique. That dimwitted ninja would probably "just trifle with the mechanics.. Of course!" he started to search for cracks that lead to some sort of chamber where the locking devices would be. His fingers running rapidly through the wood.

He found a small crack in the wood that had something that disguinshed the rest of it all. He pushed his fingers as far as he could and let his chakra do the rest while he tried to relax and figure a way on how to open something which you have no idea about. "Hrm.. " he didn't want to make too much sound but he felt that it was some sort of metall that he could sense with his chakra, he took his chance and pushed a large amount of force behind his attempt and let his chakra pass through the cracks and must've open some kind of spring which instantly sprung open the stomach. "HA I EFFING DID IT! HAAAAA!" he thought while his expression was none other then bored. After he had crawled out of the human killing machine, he turned to his sensei and walked to sit next to his dad.

After Shin had henged himself into "the indescribeable awesomeness" and back, he was completely drained of energy, having used up the last bit of his chakra to complete the last test. Void of life and energy he slumped to the floor, having barely enough strength to wave off any concerned party and to tell everyone else to simply move on without him if they hadn't done so already. He'd catch up with them in a minute....or so after he had regained a bit of his chakra. So lifeless and alone in the classroom Shin sat for a few moments, doing his best to catch his breath and regain his energy. He kept himself as still as possible and tried to get into a relaxed position so that his chakra could generate freely and swiftly. He took deep relaxed breathes and focussed all his mental energy of regaining his strength. He didn't know if doing such things would actually affect his speed of regeneration but it wouldn't hurt to try them out. Shin was beginning to feel some progress as he wasn't as light headed and weak any more. His chakra was starting to come back to him, slowly but surely and it would only be a matter of time until he was back at full strength. However, he knew every second he waited was another second wasted, as the clock was ticking and the exam was continuing without him. He couldn't just sit around all day and expect to graduate, he had to get his sorry a** in motion and hustle down them stairs. It was the only course of action that really made any sense at this point. He could always rest later if the need arose.

Shin arrived just when Hiru was finishing up the exercise, in time to see his fellow student do...something that allowed him to move clear out of the way of one of Mokujin sensei's powerful attacks. It took him a second or two, which he used to rest a bit more, to realize what was going on, comparing the remaining jutsu that need to perform for graduation with the phenomemon he had just seen to recognized the manuever as a modified kawarimi technique. It was very unusual but Shin was able to see it's battle application when comepleted, for what Hiru had substituted himself with seemed to a sort of syrup that when finished would make for a good escape-trap combination jutsu. Kawarimi exam Mokujin will launch a controlled attack at the student. The student must in turn dodge the technique with his kawarimi and reveal what his replacement object is. That last part is without importance but logs are so last decade… d20 + dodge bonus[12] + chakra control[11] = d20 + 23 DC: Successful replacement, in opponent’s melee range: 25 Successful replacement, clear of opponent’s melee range, in opponent’s sight: 33 Succesful replacement, clear of opponent’s line of sight: 41 But there wasn't much time to stop and stare at what others were doing, Shin could only assume that he was once again going to be the last student up to bat and so he dragged himself up to the front of the room after he got his fresh wind. Then he watched and waited for the crushing attack he knew was coming. It took a few moments to appear but when it did, one could tell it was going to be crushing high roundhouse to the face that would surely send the poor student into a coma. Thankfully their sensei wasn't using all of his strength and it was possible for Shin to actually perform a kawarimi before he was splattered. Upon impact a cloud of smoke disturbed the area where he had been, which was promptly proceeded by the sound of breaking glass. When the smoke cleared, Shin could be seen several arms lengths away and one to the side of Mokujin, still in the man's line of sight but deep in his periferals. He stood holding his wooden sword in both hands, stealing a bit of Hiru's battle ready pose kawarimi follow up, and where he used to be stood a pile of broken glass that used to be one of the mirrors that stood along the wall. Ouch...seven years of bad luck for Mokujin-sensei.
Cp = 4 - 1 = 3

As the slow and steady tortoise always beats the hare, Shin was hoping that his slow but dedication approach to this exam would help him ace this exam. Or at least he had until a few moments ago when he saw both Hiru and Masanori, jump in and out of the belly of the beast puppet as if it was no trouble at all. Being the ever cocky and competitive student that he was, he wasn't going to let this stand. Masanori had done the exercise in three heartbeats and Hiru in only two, so Shin was striving to beat them both by hoping in and out in only one heartbeat. So once Masanori stepped out of the puppet, Shin raced in like a mad man running a marathon. And like all madmen who liked to sprint instead of jog, he ended up hurting himself. For as he got his whole body in, the door clicked behind him so hard that he ended up flying into the other side of the puppet and bumping his head. Cp= 3 - 1 = 2

A few moments and curses later, Shin was on his feet once more, only this time he was going to revert back to slow and steady approach. It had been working out well for him before, deviating from it had only hurt him, and so he leaned back on this tried and tested methods of besting challenges....trying something until it works. Using the basic principles of the Nawanke jutsu, he'd begin expelling chakra from his finger tips as he passed them over the surface of his prison, looking for any gaps and spaces as he would have had their been a rope around him instead of a puppet.

It took him a pass or two, but eventually Shin began to notice differences, a small crack here and a small opening there all along the surface of the puppet. And each time he came against a pocket or entrance or hole of some sort, he explored it with his chakra but he mostly just found empty weapon slots. But he didn't let himself be discouraged, he simply continued searching confident that he'd find the opening to unlock this contraption eventually. And with such confidence, it was not surprising at all when he found just what he was looking for and was able to walk out of the puppet the same way he came in, save for a small bruise on his forehead.

((Love the Shin trainings too, it's cool people here actually take the time to read each other's posts, makes interactions between characters even though we don't post at the same time! XD))
Seeing how all of the present students had done with their jutsus, succeding on all of the evaluations, Mokujin was overjoyed to announce them that hey had passed their exam.
"Congratulations kids, you've succeeded de hardest part of de exam. Now, I know I told you dat dere would be sparring involved, but I tink that with how well you've mastered your jutsus, you should be able to handle yourselves in combat.", he proudly said.
"All dat is left for now is de basic ninja skill evaluation I told you about earlier. It is only a short written evaluation oon how you would handle a specific combat situation. Fill it up and give it to me when you're done." he said, handing over the copies and letting some around for tardy students.

Description: Find a creative solution for complex combat situations

Method: Go to the clans/jutsus/bloodlines approvals forum and make a thread in which you create at least one jutsu that will reflect the gimmick of your character for his future development. Hiru's are already posted, if you want to understand what I mean. Make sure that the first step in your gimmick isn't A-Rank, you need to be able to use it right away and make variations for more advanced and complex techniques having this basic technique as a parent jutsu.
Grades: n/a. When you are done creating your jutsu(s) and posting it/them in the subforum, write a short paragraph here in which your character writes about how he would use his gimmick in a combat situation.

Training : 25 posts.
Special : +10 Seduction +1 every 3 point in the Seduction skill, this Charisma check. The user uses a rose peddal(a whole rose) to touch his target to then set her/him in an sensuell trans with a combination of a seductive smile and Genjutsu.
Owner: Kaijuu Masanori.
Masanori didn't pay much attention to Shinzu's attempt of the of getting out of the puppet, but he noticed that the duration of how long it took - was identical to his own. "Well.. Seems the graduate's are going to have nice grades this year". He was sure of that they would be teamed up, since there weren't so many other gennin in the village as he knew of.
Another test were given to them, to write a battle scenario and how to handle it. He walked to his usual desk that he have had during regular lessons of the term, took out a piece of paper and a pen from the closeable desk that he sat at. When he held the pen in his hands and the other hand supporting his head while resting in it. He started to think of how he is as a ninja:
"Lets see.. I am not very strong nor do I posses any kind of unique fighting style that would aid me in a melee battle, so that is totally scratched. I also don't have the concentration or the reflexes to be along distance ranger-ninja, scratched as well." he started to scratch his chin, he knew that answer already but hand't quite accepted it yet. "I am good at talking, really good. And my apperance is none to match" he looked around the room "atleast in this village.." he smirked some when getting confirmation about his beauty. "So.. An information gatherer ninja would be the proffesion where my traits are the most welcome." he now grabbed his pen and started to draw up a simple scenario with a melee fighter of the same age as himself using a kunai and had some physical attributes. "Now then.. Since I have not the power to fight him head on or the stamina to run away or the eye for throwing. I would actually just talk to the man, see the diffrence in what he is doing and try to relate to him(diplomacy). I would turn on my village for the sake of victory, but never reaviling anything that is of importance, and thereby gain his trust. Later, when he least expected I would cast a Genjutsu on him. Just to be sure that he have no chance of attacking. And while he is in that trans, and I have complete control. I would stab him in his back with a kunai to then continue on with what was my mission. The mission would be stalled but I assume that the mission being completed is more important than how long it took" he looked it over a couple of times before walking down to Mokujin-sensei and then personally handed him his essay.

Battōsai ran into the academy classroom as fast as he could. His eyes swept the entire room in a wild manner, like he was somewhat crazy. It seemed the examed already started. The other students were halfway finished with the first part of the exam. The puppet didn't seem to mind his tardiness, so Battōsai took that he allowed him to take the exam. He sighed as he was relieved that he didn't miss the exams. He made it barely, but at least he could start. Battōsai lined up next to Shin, an old classmate of his, to wait until he could start his exam.
Once Shin was finally finished, Battōsai was ready to start. He took a few deep breaths, trying to slow down his heart that happened to be accelerateing incredibly faster than normal. He took the time to observe what Shin was doing before he could think about doing it himself. By what he observed from Shin, Battōsai had to make clones of himself. He already knew this was a test on how well a clone was made, instead on how many. Battōsai made the tiger handseal and gathered the right amount of chakra from his body. "POOF!!" Battōsai held the mental image of himself in his mind, trying to keep the jutsu focused and accurate down to the hairline. The smoke quickly disbanded as Mokujin-sensei could see his work. By his expression, Battōsai must have done completely well.

Battōsai turned his head slightly to get a good look of the clone he made. The clone made the same gesture to him. Both their red eyes scanned the other's body, checking for anything that seemed out of place. But to their relief, not a single hair out of place. "POOF!!" The clone burst into smoke. The smoke slightly blinded Battōsai's vison as he really couldn't get a look at the clone. But it faded back to nothing, which meant that he should continue on.
Battōsai made the tiger seal with his hands. At that moment, he started to gather chakra. But this time the chakra was weak, faint. He excertted more force into body, trying to gather more chakra. "POOF!!" Battōsai tried to keep the image of himself in his head. He may have been unable to gather enough chakra to make a solid jutsu, but at least he could possibly get points on effort. But the look on Mokujin-sensei's face spelled it all out for him.
