The smile on his face told her all she needed to know about his opinion and liking on it.
"I didn't think you were that grown up though, or grown up enough to have a child of your own, otherwise I woulda looked for someone different for you"
Her being pregnant still felt unreal to him, especially since it meant his little girl had grown up.

She said softly. She reached over to readjust the ice pack as it slipped down from her ankle, her face expressing the momentary pain that shot through before it went back to being it's passiveness.

He had to laugh. People were stupid at the best of times, and this 'myth' crap showed them at their most stupid. The only reason Succubus didn't get pregnant is because they knew how to protect themselves against it, it was the same with Incubus. You sleep around that much, you know how to protect yourself from offspring.

She licked her lip a little to moisten it from being dry. Unfortunately, her mother only knew about the male anatomy for the incubi...not the female counterpart.

He shook his head, still smiling.
"People left to their own devices are dumb sometimes, though if they're willing to sleep with you, they're not gonna test if you're imortal or not"
He assured her. In general, people who wanted to sleep with an incubus/succubus didn't want to test if they could die. He had run into his fair share of psychopaths, his ability to heal through sex had kept him alive and his survival instince had made sure he stayed away from them next time.
"That's good.."
He pointed out, just to make sure she'd not try anything stupid which might get her killed.

She snuggled closer, leaned up enough to kiss his cheek and go back to snuggling close. even if he wasn't the best for a father, she stilled loved him and he was what comforted her at times.

"I didn't mean to stay away that long"
He assured her.
"Things just got a bit out of control"
A bit out of control was putting it mildly and it had only been through his desire to see her again that he managed to get some control on the situation he had found himself in and return home.

He stroked her hair as he held her, his eyes showing part of his thoughts when she asked him to stay.
"Sometimes... we don't get a choice in leaving"
He wondered then how he could posibly think of leaving her again, his daughter, his family. It should all be so easy to stay here where there was happiness to be found and peace. And yet, there was something threatening to destroy the happiness just around the corner.
