Due to the lack of distance between herself and Scizor, Oracle didn't have time to react to the Pursuit attack. She received some damage from it, although it was thankfully a lesser amount than she would have received had she attempted to switch out. She shook it off, however, and managed to put some distance in between herself and Scizor.
Oracle closed her eyes and focused. She used her Calm Mind attack, raising her Special Attack and Defensive stats. "Just a short while longer," she said.

Scizor let out another growl, standing her ground. I shouldn't be worried about Alakazam.. he thought, Scizor has a signifigant type advantage. He gulped. The Steel-type jumped back and flapped her metal wings. The Pokemon dashed forward, flapping her wings very rapidly to attack the Alakazam with a Wing Attack.

Oracle raised an eyebrow as the bug was rushing to attack her. She concentrated on Scizor, causing a golden outline to appear around the bug's body. Oracle stopped her from moving, and threw her against the ceining with a Psychic attack. "No." She knew the attack wouldn't do very much damage yet, but it bought her some time.

With her type advantage, breaking free of the Psychic bond was much easier than it would have been for any other Pokemon. Scizor immediately thought to her trainer's Weezing. How would he fair against it? A soft smirk appeared on her lips. As she fell from the ceiling, the Pokemon landed down directly upon Alakazam, flapping her wings rapidly again for the attempt of another Wing Attack.

Oracle fell to the ground under the weight of Scizor, and was unable to move away to dodge the Wing Attack. This attack did deal some decent damage, and Oracle knew it. She was able to slip out from under the bug, slightly scathed.
"That was of little consequence," she said to Scizor. Concentrating for a moment, Oracle was able to Recover a great deal of her health back. She grinned a moment later. "You could just surrender."

Kilik scowled. Psychic Pokemon were always his least favorite. Scizor merely smirked and shook her head. The fighting spirit that was contained within her was never quenched until she would find that one opponent that would satisfy her. The bug dashed forward with a Quick Attack, leaning her entire body forward to optimize her speed.

"Whoa!" exclaimed Lisa, backing up a bit as the water began to recede. "I really didn't see that one coming!"
"I know," Jaeshan grinned, the past hour nearly forgotten.
"Well we have a few tricks up our proverbial sleeves as well! Nidoqueen, Shadow Ball!" Nidoqueen rose up from the ground, shaking herself and causing droplets of water to splash out in every direction. She opened her mouth, and roared, a dark sphere forming in the palm of her hand. It grew larger and larger, and suddenly Nidoqueen hurled it at Nidoking with great accuracy. The shadowy orb struck Nidoking in the chest, sending him flying backwards, and almost into Jaeshan and the egg, had the trainer not jumped out of the way in time. Nidoking struggled to get up, panting heavily. A blackened mark appeared, decorating the rugged scales on his chest as he sat up.
"No more playing around, then," Jaeshan said firmly. "Nidoking, Earthquake." He braced himself, watching eagerly as Nidoking rose to the occasion. He raised both arms high into the air, and then brought them both down, crashing into the earth. A large crack appeared, traveling quickly towards Nidoqueen, rocky debris spewing forth in every direction. Jaeshan fell to his knees, clutching the egg firmly, yet gently in order to protect it.

"Oh, you little bit--" Oracle began, but was cut off as Scizor crashed into her with her Quick Attack; she was subsequently flung into one of the walls due to the speed of the attack. Due to the fact that Oracle's body was genetically predisposed to being weak, she sustained further damage. Getting to her feet, Oracle scowled. She closed her eyes and used Future Sight to predict Scizor being attacked by a psychic power.

Expecting it or not, the Earthquake tore the ground asunder as it moved, reaching Nidoqueen and rattling her to her very core. Even though drastically weakened, she wasn't about to give up just yet. Nidoqueen's defenses were better than Nidoking's, even thought he latter boasted slightly better attack power and speed. She regained her composure, fury burning in her eyes as she charged forward. Her tail glimmered with a metallic sheen as she turned her body, putting all her weight behind it as she struck Nidoking with a solid Iron Tail. Jaeshan mentally made note of the attack, trying to decide on his next move. Before he could say anything, Nidoking began to lose control. He gave a ferocious roar, savagely beating his chest with his fists again, as he threw himself into Nidoqueen, pummeling with all his rage. "Oh no, not Thrash!" Jaeshan gulped, knowing that in a turn or two from now, fatigue would set in, causing Nidoking to become confused. However, if he managed to defeat Nidoqueen by then...

Kilik blinked and then smiled. Could Scizor actually win this one? The boy gulped the lump in his throat and watched Scizor blink a few times. She was interested as to why Alakazam had closed it eyes. Sure, she felt an energy, but where was the damage? Scizor shook her head and assumed another stance, dashing for another Quick Attack.

Turning towards where Brock was now able to identify which one was the gym leader. Pointing a finger at him she laughed and answered right back. "Yeah well Brock, your so called rock solid defense will fall. I just hope you are ready for it." She laughed some more placing her fists on her hips. "So what are you condition's for this battle? Or do I just get to beat you into a pulp?"

Jaeshan could only look on as Nidoking continued his vicious assault upon the Nidoqueen. There wasn't anything he could do until his Pokemon calmed down, so he shouted out encouragements, still clutching the egg to his chest. His heart was racing so fast that he hardly noticed the egg had grown very warm as he held it close.
Nidoqueen retaliated with a Body Slam, exhaustion showing clearly in her face. Nidoking slammed his fist down on the top of her head, driving her into the ground much like she did to him earlier. Although twitching slightly, the Nidoqueen didn't get up. Nidoking gave a triumphant roar, slamming his tail against the ground and stomping around loudly as Lisa recalled her Nidoqueen.
"I think we got more than we bargained for," she sighed, putting the Great Ball away. "Nidoking's tougher than I anticipated. Still wanna battle?" she asked, pushing some stray bluish hairs from her eyes. She cheered when Jaeshan nodded, readying another Pokeball and letting it fly. From it came a big, purple moth-like Pokemon, glaring at Jaeshan and Nidoking through large, round eyes. Instantly Nidoking charged forward, fury still raging through his body. Almost lazily, the Venomoth flapped its wings, carrying it up into the air where it was safe. Enraged, Nidoking let out a howl, thrashing and lashing about before he suddenly came to a stop as the fatigue began to set in.

Ryka looked up at the sky, thinking about all theat she had read about Celadon City. Maybe if she could layout a small map in her head, she could figure out where Vixen had went. But all of a sudden, the ground shook heavily, knocking Ryka off of the bench.
"Oww.." Ryka exclaimed. she tried to get back up, but ot no avail. Her legs didn't move, as if locked in place. Twilight, also recovering from the tremor, looked over at Ryka, noticing she was struggling. With Twilight pulling at her arm, and the support of the bench, Ryka was able to stand up.
"I guess I hurt my legs when we crashed.. and that tremor didn't help.." Ryka muttered softly. Using the half destroyed bike for support, Ryka walked down the small, empty street, Twilight walked by her side. "I guess we should find Jae first.. It'll be kinda hard to find Vixen like this." She tried to force out a chuckle.

"A beach party?" Keegan repeated, blinking. "It sounds like fun..." He trailed off, thinking about the last time he'd been to the beach. It had been when he was very young, and due the fact that he was a natural redhead, it meant that he got sunburned very easily. "Yeah, fun indeed," he nodded, making a mental note that if he did go, he'd be wearing about 3 gallons of sunscreen the whole time. He made his way over towards the window, resting his hands on the window ledge as he looked outside, keeping his eyes open for Artemis. "I wonder if she'll be there," he said almost dreamily. Helios tilted his head, and jumped down onto the windowsill. He began to paw at Keegan's pocket, the one that housed his PokeNav. "What, you think I should call her?" he asked, to which Helios nodded vigorously. "Yeah right. I doubt she'd answer even if I did call." The Vulpix let his ears droop, and sighed. "Maybe. We'll see," he said, patting the fox on the head. "We'll see."
His thoughts were soon interrupted by the startled shrieks and gasps coming from people by the door. Half a dozen people had run inside, covering their heads and shouting angrily. Keegan couldn't help but grin, knowing what the cause of all the commotion was. "She's smart, and she's fast, too," he commented, walking over to the door to let her back in. Artemis gave a triumphant trill, landing on her trainer's shoulder. "Find him?" he asked, and the Swellow nodded eagerly. "Great, we should get a move on, then," he smiled, running back over to the window to get Helios. "Dante... err… uh… ana? You coming?" he asked, casting one last lingering glance at the beauty Violet.

"Nidoking?" Jaeshan asked, taking a cautious step forward. Nidoking was breathing heavily, down on one knee. His shoulders were shaking with exhaustion.
"Finish him, Venomoth!" Lisa called, pointing at the downed Nidoking. "Psybeam!" Reacting quickly, the large, purple moth flapped its wings quickly, generating power. It opened its mouth, and fired a rainbow-coloured beam. Nidoking did nothing to avoid it, taking the hit solidly. The force of the attack sent him tumbling over backwards, his tail sweeping out, knocking Jaeshan flat on his back. As he landed, he heard a sickening crack, and he froze upon realizing that it had come from the egg, which had still been clutched tightly to his chest.
"Oh no," the boy whimpered, staring up at the sky. "It's broken..."
"What's broken?" a concerned Lisa's face appeared above him, and above her floated Venomoth, looking down at the two curiously. "Are you hurt? Jaeshan! Answer me!"
"M-my egg," he said, sitting up slowly. "When I fell, I heard it crack..." He glanced over at Nidoking, who had propped himself up with one arm, and was looking apologetically over at his trainer. He hadn't the energy to get back up again. "It's broken, isn't it? I can't bear to look!" He squeezed his eyes shut as he sat up slowly, still cradling the cracked egg in his arms.
"Uh, yeah. It’s broken," Lisa stated gently, kneeling next to him. "But I think it's gonna be all right somehow." Her voice held a hint of laughter, and Jaeshan opened his eyes, looking at her in awe.
"What? How can it be..." he stopped, feeling something moving in his arms. He summoned his courage, and looked down. Indeed, the pale, orange egg had a large crack that nearly split it in half. Underneath, he could see something moving. He leaned in closer for a better look, blinking in astonishment as a small beak pushed its way through the crack. Then, two eyes were looking up at him, at first, in confusion, and then in delight.
"Tor...chic?"
