"Sure we can, we're her parents." Eric replied to his wife. He was only joking, but a part of him really did feel that way. "Really, he is kind of a jerk though." Said Elric, trying to defend Nina's stand on Connor. It didn't seem like it was going to help however... Dinner settled down somewhat after this conversation. Everyone had gotten caught up on how things were going on their journey, with Nina and Elric's parents cheering them on. Of course, Benjamin and Fara checked in with their worrisome mother as well. It was now time that Nina checked out her gift from her father. Everyone had decided to stand outside and watched how it work, if it was anything like her scythe, this would be quite a show.

Nina held the blade with both her hands, staring at it as she tried to thin of how it would work. She gave it a few test swings. It moved just fine, like nothing was wrong with it. But something still felt wrong. She gave it a few more swings. She held the blade up and stared at it. "what are you hiding, you're, too perfect for how you look." She said to her self. Fara leaned over some towards Elric. "is, she talking to the sword?" She asked

Elric turned to his cousin an shrugged. "That's what it sounds like to me as well." He then turned to Nina. "Hey, Nina, I don't think it's voice activated!" He yelled out to her.

Nina looked up and blushed some, she had forgotten she was being watched. "I know." She yelled back. "I'm, just thinking, talking to my self you know." She said, looking back to the sword. "Maybe?" She pulled back and thrusted the sword forward. She did this multiple times before stopping and looking at it again. "close." she mumbled. "it, feel right but something is missing."

"Like what? Because you've lost me. Well, lost me and you kinda look crazy." He chuckled at her. He walked closer the swordswoman and looked at the sword. "Is something about the sword missing, or is it your technique?"

Nina stared at it before answering. "I have no clue." she sighed. "Ugh, this one is defintly a hard one to figure out. Despite the dents and chips in the blade it swings around just fine. When I thrust it forward it, feels right but nothing happens. It feels like something should but nothing does." she explained.

Elric began to yawn. "I'm going to be bed. Good luck with finding the answers. Knowing you, you're not going to stop until you find out. Good night sis." As he turned around, he smiled, it felt good to say that.

Nina smiled. "Yeah, you've got that right, bro." She said, it felt nice to call him that. He had always felt like a brother to her so now it felt nice to say it.

The night continued on, as Nina tried and tried again to uncover the secrets of the sword. As she did, Connor had appeared once more. Though, uncertain to his own intentions. Her sword worked nicely for him, but with it left urges not his own. "Do you collect these things or something?" He said to her, he found it easy to sneak up behind her. Then again, by now he could track her crystal energies.

Nina panted and sighed. "Yes, I am." She said, turning around to him. "That's why I want that one back when you're done with it. "And why are you even here?" She asked

Connor looked at his crystal arm, it formed crystal in the shape of a sword and shattered, revealing the blade that she requested. "I'm not even sure anymore. I wanted to end you, but not like this. The day I do that, it has to be at your best." He the holds up a red crystal ring. "You're looking for these things, right? Why?"

She watched as he got out the sword, shuttering slightly as the thought of him storing the sword inside his arm clicked in her head. "Y-yeah, we need them to restore the temples so we don't all turn to stone." She said, putting her sword away. "And why do you have that one?" She asked

"We don't turn into stone?" He said in a confused tone. He shook his head, he could ask about that later. "I tested out your sword in a tournament. That was the prize." Answered Connor, looking at the ring, he wondered if he should give it to her. After some thought, he tossed it over to her. "I have no use for a crystal, the sooner I stop seeing one the better."

Nina caught the ring and looked over to him. "There was a tournament? wow, I'm actually a little bummed I missed it." she said, putting the ring away. "Well, maybe restoring the temples will fix that, hopefully. If not then I'll see if I can do anything." She said, though after a moment of silence she spoke up again. "And I mean something other than you killing me or use having sex." She said.

Connor blushed with a shocked expression, then he began to yell at her. "You're the one that's causing that!" He snapped at her. "Or have you forgotten the last time, you kissed me."
