"You better not try anything funny, Speed Demon," Jacen said with a rather irritated tone in his voice. He knew that Pietro uttering the words 'fair deal' wasn't exactly that. As he thought that, he wrapped his arm around Penance's waist and walked her back a few steps with him as he moved forward.

"I don't trust them and their idea of fairness," Jacen said, with no small amount of concern in his voice.

"It's only a game, Jacen," Penance said as she stopped both of them in their tracks.

"I understand that, but I don't think they take the prospect of having one of us as their 'slave' is one they plan on just abandoning."

"You need to relax," she said as she took his arm from around her waist and walked back up towards the group.

Relax? Around this group?, he thought as he stood away from the rest of them for a bit. Right....

Corky's bored voice floated to her ears as she exited the rental house. Letting out a small sigh, Victoria changed her "annoyed" face into her "happy" face, and lead the way back to the beachhouse. There better be something fun planned or I'm gonna be REAL pissed...

'She's right, I just need to do this for fun.' Danielle thought.
'Not like they'd pick me to be their slave, if our team looses. They don't know me.'
Given the chances Danielle would become someone's slave; with everything that's been going on, she was in no mood for it.

Regina shrugged and looked to Porter. "So I guess we're on Penny and Jacen's team eh? Dani, you there too? I think we need one or three more people. Good even numbers."

"Works for me." Porter said with a grin, impressed by her actual planning ability. No wonder she was second.

Gen made her way over. "I'm in. Dani and I will be alternatives for when others get tired, how's that sound??" She may not have had a lot to say, but she was ready for some freindly competition. Just glad to be part of something...

Regina looked aorund the rest of the beach. "Come on! We'll give it our best shot."

"Jamie, Morgan, Blair, Bobby, Kurt, Kitty, and Rogue," Penny said looking at folks figuring out who they're playing with, "Why don't you form a team? You have a good combo of powers there."

Besides, if I lose to anybody, it better be X-Men. She kept her thought to herself and looked for Teagan, "Teagan, do you want to play? We can use another player."

That would put her, Jacen, Regina, Porter, Gen, Dani and maybe Teagan on a team. Some good power there and some good abilities to use against the other guys. Teagan can be a nice wild card if things became really dirty. Porter was strength since he'd never use his abilities. She was at a disadvantage herself to at least Wanda... Not even begun and already calculating.

She thought about what Jacen said for a moment after Freya spelled out the rules. He was right. They couldn't relax. This wasn't just a game. She went back over to him, feelingly slightly sheepish because she knew she was wrong, and put his hand back around her waist, "You're right. This isn't just a game. I want to own these people out there..."

Freya went back to Wanda and they started to talk apart from the others so they won't hear them out.

"This is getting a bit out of hand. I was thinking faction fight but they rather split up in many teams, no matter the faction," the blond whispered to the goth.

"Don't you think it's better this way? Like this if Pietro wins, he won't brag about the brotherhood being the best," stated Wanda with an annoyed tone.

"But...I wanted to brag that WE are the best. This is not fun at all...but on the other hand, we're the only members of our group so we could still brag about it if we win," pointed out the blond with devilish smile.

Wanda kind of grinned at the mention of them being a team and them being the best. It was a change from Pietro's me-myself-and-I talk. Even if it was just a group of two, the Scarlet Witch started to feel something she didn't feel for years.

"Don't worry. We can still beat them all and brag that we're the best. We are a terrible combination after all," finally said Wanda.

"With your mood swings and my mind, you sure are right on that one."

"Mood...swings....? FREYA!!"

They were not on the field yet that the blond and the goth were already running around, one laughing and the other ready to rip her head off.

Blair smiled at the mention of using his powers on the field. He wasn't the most adept in his abilities but he could surely use telekinesis to fix the volleyball every now and then.

He chuckled to himself as they divided into teams. Pietro and Wanda he had never met before but judging by the highly fueled emotions emitting from the duo, he didn't want to introduce himself at this point.

Blair smiled when he realized who was on his team, Jamie, Morgan, and Rogue he had become friends with most recently, so that was good. Bobby.....was his roommate and he needed to talk to him sometime, or it would just get really awkward in that small room of theirs. Kurt and Kitty? He hadn't met them yet either but they seemed alright, like good people he should be hanging out with.

After much thinking, while sitting in the sand,"This should be fun. When do we begin?"

The group had more talks of slavery rules but he didn't mind; chances were...they weren't going to choose him, purely because they didn't know him.

((*twitch* Dude...my name's "Victoria" not "Veronica"...your life shall be spared for now...))

Victoria and Corky has just barely made it onto the beach, when the sliver haired speed demon himself was in front of them. She was startled at first. Not becasue he appeared seemingly out of thin air, she'd gotten used to that by now, but she was suspicous at to WHY he was talking to them all of a sudden. Has he lost a bet or something?

She got over it quick enough when the speed demon asked what "gifts" they so had the grace to posses. About time you asked... Smiling gracously, she closed her eyes an instant before opening them again. The sound of the waves crashing behind then caught her attention and now...Bitting her bottom lip in consentration, she brought her hands out in front of her before flicking them ever so gracfully and smoothly. The waves crashed no more. Well, they still were, but now that Victoria surrounded them in "a bubble of slience" their faint breathing the bubble "popped" letting the rushing water be heard once more. Smiling smugly and folding her arms across her chest she said straight faced to Pietro, "Does that answer your question?"
