The dragon nodded and the two started moving again. This time going at a ground eating pace that wouldn't leave Aislin panting for air. Gab's voice was very tentative in Nikoli's mind, "Excuse me?"

mayura closed her eyes and drew on her remaining strength come on... please work! she thought, and said "lotaru marusia!" and she found herself in a field

Nikoli repeats his brief scan of the surrouding area, and relaxes his crossbow. He replies. peering down on the pair.

"Aislin wants to know if you want her to go straight back to the golden city... or if she should detour through a few different towns... She's hoping you'll want to go straight to the golden city, she misses Barick.... But she doesn't want me telling you that..." Gab babbled, nervously. From his mind voice Nikoli could have told that Gab didn't like being in Nikoli's head.
Aislin continued to be playing the look out, almost completely hidden by the bush she'd chosen for cover.

Core and the others arrived at the edge of the mountain where the Academy was built. It had been repaired of all the damage that had been caused by Kir and Lydia, "If there's anyone here still infected, then they are probably scientists and maybe a few guards," He said quietly.

Gab curled tightly around Core's neck, "I don't like this place..."

"We can't have anyone infected roam freely," Core stated, petting Gab gently. He knew the fear the little dragon felt, "The people in here were infected first. From our knowledge, no one came here and subdued whoever was left here. So that's our job. No killing, just tying people up."

Gab whimpered and circled around Core's neck, then slipped down Core's coat. "I don't want to be here..."
