((Okay...fine, THIS is the last post for tonight...*hoping mom doesn't wake up just yet*

And they're walking back to where Blake is, not away...))

Vexis observed Rosa closely as she led the way, wondering what must go through that robotic head....probably just a bunch of numbers, boring. She looked back to the path ahead, noticing that some ship had been destroyed...and it happened to be Judgment Primera. Vexis rushed towards the ruined hunk of metal, a bit pouty. "Aw, man! NOW how am I supposed to leave this stupid planet!?" She shouted out in aggression, ignoring Blake and the uhh...corpses just to the other side of her. Vexis looked back to Rosa, as if she could do anything about it.

Rosa stopped by a different ship, it was small and black, one of the worker's ships here in Sentinel was her guess. "If it is necessary, you could probably get past the locks in this ship, they're not too advanced it seems..."

Vexis started heading over to where Rosa went "Oh...duh....I hadn't thought of that..." but she tripped on part of Judgment's loose frame. Vexis started to get up, just then realizing that one of the bodies ahead was that of someone she kind of knew. "What the-!? Aerclayr....lost?" Vexis exclaimed, but her voice gradually lowered to a quiet tone. She backed up a bit, a scared look on her face, how could he have lost? The very thought invoked fear into Vexis, why? she hadn't known. Vexis looked back to Rosa now, with a different perspective on her ally. "Y-you did this...didn't you?"

"It was me."

Blake replied, his voice still full of mourning. He hadn't even looked to the newcomer, hadn't even bothered to see what she looked like. "He killed... and so did I. How many have I killed, over the years...? One. But, Marth... thousands...."

((KRYXEL. FIRE AXEL. NEKO.

..now that I have your attention, I must tell you this: In Run for your Life (LoveToCauseMayhem author), the plot will advance once all the huntees gather around after being hunted once. That means you have to get your character's butt over to a hunter - a real hunter - and have a battle. Then the plot can continue. End of bold message.))

Vexis stared at Blake for quite some time, trying to decide if he was really worth the effort to try to kill or not. He wasn't, he seemed too caught up in other matters right now. She lowered her head slightly, looking down at the paved ground. "You humans are all the same...Aerclayr was no different, either..." Vexis's eyes dimly started glowing with that blue tint again, what caused it was unknown. "You all seek vengeance...to destroy one another over stupid excuses...spreading bloodshed in your uprising...and falling when things get out of hand..." Vexis stood up now, any traces of her normally pink eyes were now blocked out by a deep blue, her pupils were white and shaped like stars. "But I will never follow your path of endless destruction like many others of my race have...I will never give in." Vexis glanced down at who seemed to be Blake's comrade, fallen in battle. "I will ease the pain that you humans have inflicted...no matter the cost! ...I can help restore damage caused...he may not be too far gone...though I cannot guarantee..." Vexis explained, gesturing towards Marth.

((I was aloud a few more minutes... whee ))

Blake glanced up at Vexis. Then, two words. "Do it."
PostPosted: Sat Nov 15, 2008 11:14 pm

"Alright." Vexis closed her eyes in concentration, focusing far harder than she normally had to. A blue aura surrounded her, a brilliant sparkling light engulfed her in it's grasp. Vexis reached through the wall of celestial energy, and knelt down beside Marth, holding her hands just above his face. "Xephnisar oun tangue aroua tuosain!" ("Power of the stars, restore!") Vexis uttered something in her own odd language, though doing so seemed to help focus the energy into Marth better. Vexis fell backward onto the ground, the energy started to dissipate from around her. "I-I've done w-what I can...t-the rest is up to h-him..."

Blake withdrew his face from where it rested inside his tear-soaked palm. "You... healed him? His w-wound?"

A movement. Marth moved, ever so slightly, but then laid still. Unconscious? Dead?

Blake hadn't the heart to check. But the battle... it was not over, yet, was it? Jad still had to get his ship... who knew where Jad even was at this point.

An image of Aerclayr appeared, floating six inches above his body. He appeared in solemn thought, pondering the body below him and the live one that belonged to his adversary. First his gaze shifted from Blake, to his own body, to Marth, then to Vexis.

There the gaze stayed, even as the edges of Aerclayr's image began to fade, dissipating into the sky.

Solemn, quizzical, ponderous, thought. Becoming less an image and more a blob of white and gray colors, Aerclayr then descended to the ground, before walking over and resting his own hand on Marth's shoulder.

Aerclayr spoke, but no voice came from his mouth. The body of Marth shifted slightly once again, as if in response to some silent query or statement.

Then the dead mercenary turned to face Vexis, just staring at her, scrutinizing, wondering. His expression was not angry, annoyed, or actually, any sort of extremity on either side of the scale of emotions.

Instead, he was just stoic, breathing in heavily every now and then, sighing soundlessly several times with pauses between each.

Then, Aerclayr finally dissolved into nothingness, his gaze never leaving Vexis, his body staying behind to rot forever.

((Aw...thanks, Techni....but I'm not that good of an RPer....I constantly typo things by forgetting certain words in a sentence/post and whatnot...>_>

*takes a few Tums* God! I think I might be catching a stomach flu or something... gonk ))

Vexis watched as Aerclayr faded, she felt numb inside and out as she watched. Vexis had witnessed many deaths over the years, but no matter how many she had seen, the shock and sorrow never went away. Vexis glanced up at the sky, one lone star dimly sparkled, then faded to darkness, Aerclayr's star. She sighed, trying to fight back the tears that tried so hard to leave her eyes, she hadn't known Aerclayr very well, but it was the mere thought of another life being taken away that saddened her so. "...Most have called me lucky to have this power...to be able to heal the injured..." Vexis's voice was shaky and quiet, she still stared up at the sky. "...But its a curse in it's own...with healing also comes failure...failure to save that person...and death comes to claim them. I have witnessed so many innocent deaths...I tried to save them all....but I wasn't good enough, my will isn't strong enough to use this power..."

Rosa watched Vexis's reactions with interest, what made Vexis so sensitive to the deaths of people she didn't even know very well? Vexis reminded Rosa somewhat of Kira, they both seemed to share that idea of 'All lives are valuable and irreplaceable'. Rosa stepped closer to Vexis, and surprisingly, placed her hand on Vexis' shoulder as if to say 'its alright'.

Blake was now watching Vexis intently. His eyes strayed to Rose when she moved, but for the most part, he just examined the alien.... Wondering, perhaps?

After a minute, Blake made to ask her something. "Why did you save Marth, and not this person?" he asked, apparently aware that Vexis and Aerclayr had at least been acquaintances.

"Marth will never thank you - its too greatly ingrained in his pride to do so. He won't repay you in any way. So... why?"
PostPosted: Sun Nov 16, 2008 11:52 am

Vexis briefly looked down at Aerclayr, she could no longer hold back the streams of tears. "Because he no longer had a purpose...I would have only wasted my energy trying to save Aerclayr...he fulfilled his goal to kill Marth...and would have been just another empty being without his purpose to depend on...the reason to live." Vexis now looked down at Marth, then back to Blake. "But...at least this way I could ease the pain of someone else."

((You notice....all the cool/tough characters that always become my favorites over others always die... xd I must curse those characters in books and RPs by liking them...lol Aerclayr seemed interesting, hard to decipher his thoughts, but now that I took a liking to his personality, he dies! Typical.... rofl ))

Blake glanced, too, at the unhealed corpse as Vexis did. But then his gaze returned to Marth, and his expression was of sorrow, even wit Marth's revival.

"We can all find a new purpose," Blake whispered, gravely. It wasn't that he condemned Vexis' actions - far from it - but something about the whole situation seemed so wrong, in some strange aspect.

This was more than surface-level wrongness - it wasn't just the battle in and of itself, but the underlying meaning that had accompanied these sorrowful actions. All the regret and the failure and the weakness... something about it astounded Blake, something that spawned thought of the pointlessness of human life. They all died, eventually... and then it was oblivion. Wasn't it...?

((Who said Aerclayr is gone? The rules of logic and physics are denied in this RP, are they not? I can't guarantee anything... Aerclayr will most likely stay dead. But depending on how events turn out on ... *forgets Maggie's planet's name* Aerclayr could come back. He happens to be part whatever-maggie's-race-is, and she's going through some pretty supernatural changes at the moment... we'll just see....))
