Jun couldn't help but smirk at Jenny acting all concerned and mom-like. That was a sensitive side of his no-nonsense cousin that she never showed him; sad, sad relationship they had, Jun sighed melodramatically. Nothing but her "tough love," which really was as tough and brutal as rusty nails. And he liked to be the best, most loving thorn in her side that he could be, although it he pushed it too far she'd really give it to him. All tormenting put aside, however, Jenny was one of the people Jun cared most for, besides his immediate adorable little sisters and his hard-headed, gambling muscle man of a father.

It was the first time Jenny noticed the ghost type, of course, since she'd been too busy being pissed at her cousin and concerned for Aidan. "Oh, that's a Duskull... Those are pretty rare, though," she said, frowning a bit. The only one she knew of was the one that was supposed to hatch for the mayor's spoiled brat of a son. "Where'd you find it?"

It was about then that some cute red-head chick came into the center, finding four sets of eyes on her plus one red glowing one. "Uh, hello," Jun said in his typical uppity voice, the normal greeting one gave to strangers when one expected them to simply nod and continue on their way. Cute hair though, he adored red-heads, though their locks could be pretty wild.

Alice had stepped into the center, she was still a little flustered. Kadaj refused to go back into his pokeball, he was content on following her around. She was setting her bags down near a seat when she noticed that everyones eyes were on her and a cheerful hello. "Oh.. hi!" She didn't expect to see a small group of people at the pokemon center so late. Seeing an officer there in the Pokemon Center surprised her. Just then she noticed the finely dressed man that gave her the greeting. She had never seen someone in such fine clothing before. Her hand made sun dress didn't seem so pretty anymore. She took off her wide brimmed had and rustled her short red hair. As she looked back up towards the group she couldn't help but feel awkward.
She snapped out of her self consciousness when she noticed the Duskull. "Oh! Who's Duskull is that? I rarely see them, even at the ranch!" She asked curious about the rate ghost pokemon.

When the new girl walked in Aidan stared for a second, she looked somewhat familular but he couldn't quite place a finger on it. After a moment he shrugged it off and was bombarded by questions, well not quite bombarded since two was hardly a lot. Still the normally quiet boy was spending so much time talking today that he wasn't quite sure what all to make of it. He quickly ran a hand through ashy blonde hair before glancing up agian and answering their questions. It wasn't as if he really knew the answer anyway. "I didn't know it was called a Duskull until you two called it that." He paused for a moment staring down at the little thing that had emerged from his chest and was now floating around his knee looking for the most part pretty happy. "I also have no idea who's it is or even if it belongs to someone. I do know it has been following me around for the past few hours. It also scared one of the kids earlier." He frowned slightly at that before shaking his head slightly.

For his part the small ghost didn't even know his own name until the other two had mentioned it. Now that he knew though he thought it fit pretty well all things considered. Still he was starting to get a bit stressed out, he didn't really like all this much attention, though it wasn't to much to begin with it was still to much for his young mind to really handle. Wanting to hide it floated back going through the couch so that it was 'hiding' on the other side.

Aidan just watched it float back through the couch with untelling, and somewhat bored blue eyes. "What do you think we should do about it? The Duskull is sort of the reason that Jun hit me with your car Officer Jenny."

It seemed that for the time being Genki was content to chase after a butterfly, and Katie watched the curious little Chimchar for a few moments before she took her map out of her messenger bag and had a look at it. If she kept at the route she was on it would eventually lead her to Floaroma Town. From there she could work her way to the forest and then to Eterna City. 'Well that would be a little redundant, because the first gym is located in Oreburgh,' she thought, tapping her fingers on the rock as she thought. Well, it wouldn't hurt to train a bit around here first, then she could always head back to the pokecenter in Jubilife, then from there maybe head towards Oreburgh. At the very least she could check out the gym and she was hoping to have caught a new Pokemon or two by then as well. Yeah, that sounded like a plan.

Katie carefully folded up her map and stowed it safely in her bag before she stood up and brushed the dust from her dress. "Genki, we're moving on," she called out, looking around for the familiar orange Pokemon. He was nearby, as his flaming butt was incredibly easy to spot and Katie walked towards him. The monkey had crawled forward on all fours and was busy watching a butterfly as it rested on a flower. Something in the tall grasses nearby rustled a bit, causing the butterfly to startle and flutter off, and Genki let out a little whimper as his little winged friend flew away. "Don't worry about it, Gen. We'll make plenty of more friends, I can promise you that." The Chimchar nodded and climbed up onto his trainer's shoulder, where he began to play with one of her long ponytails. By now the Pokemon knew to be gentle and all he really was doing was braiding it.

The two continued to walk forward, but stopped when the rustling from nearby continued. "Hmm? What's that?" Katie pondered, looking towards the source of the noise. After a moment or so a small, green Pokemon with a yellow face, small, stubbly legs and a flower bud atop its head popped out of the grass, looking up at the human and Chimchar curiously. "It's a Budew," Katie observed, taking her Pokedex from the side pocket on her messenger bag. "It lives by clear ponds, and scatters pollen that can induce harsh sneezing and runny noses," Katie read aloud. "Guess it's not a good Pokemon to have around if you have hay fever." The comment, though offhand, seemed to make the little flower angry and it hopped up and down, making what appeared to be angry little noises at her. "Guess it wants to fight," she said, to which Genki let out an excited cry.

Oh, so it would be just like the plush and probably just as tiny; Kirsa hoped she would be around to see it hatch, it was probably going to be quite cute.

"Hey Kirsa. It's getting a bit late, so I'm gonna go change. What say you to meeting up when the speech is about to begin?"

"Okay. That sounds fine. I shall call you, then?" That Sasha, always going, going, going, so full of energy. Kirsa watched her pink haired crazy friend disappear into a throng of people, then she peered down at her two Pokemon. Rolf was slowly stalking toward Hans, who was trying to dissuade the inevitable from happening by growling. She wasn't worried about them hurting each other, but she certainly didn't want them tired; she may need them later. Kirsa recalled them both before round two of wrestling could begin, placing the balls back into the pouches on her belt.

Was she supposed to change, too? She only had one other outfit in her bag that wasn't sleepwear, but somehow she just didn't think it would work here. Then again, Sasha had been in a swimsuit...Kirsa looked presentable, it would probably be okay.

Now the question was what was she going to occupy herself with until the conference starts? Everything was dying down...Ahh, she knew what she could do. Kirsa made her way off the beach and headed south, to the docks. There probably wouldn't be many people down here, if any, and upon the arrival to her destination, she saw that she was right: this area of the town was empty. Good, that was how she liked it. She retrieved her phone, figuring now was as good a time as any to return her father's call.

"Hush-hush you say...hmmm." Crenu closed his eyes as he thought about the benefits of attending a seminar that was ultimately a big secret. Then again, there was sure to be an even bigger crowd there than anywhere else. He still had plenty of work to do with his pokemon once they finished healing, Larvitar had to be close to evolving by now. Speaking of Larvitars, Kasiya's Larvitar soundly defeated two of his pokemon all by herself. Poliwhirl was already tired from a previous battle, but Hitmonlee should have been able to turn her into rubble! Crenu had a lot of catching up to do indeed, he could feel his skin crawling with inferiority the more he thought about his recent defeats. Deep in thought, Crenu nearly missed the Chansey holding their pokeballs. Huh, didn't take as long as he thought...that or watching M.A. get blitzed into a table made the time fly by. Either way, he was glad to be getting his pokemon back. Though identical, Crenu didn't hesitate in grabbing his three pokeballs. They simply had an odd feel to them that he recognized, though it could have just been his imagination, there were only two other pokeballs on the tray that were quite distinct after all. He knew that M.A. had Ulani, but the second pokeball on the tray could only mean that she had acquired a forth pokemon since she'd gotten here. As he looked at her and her brother, he contemplated the probability of Saebum being a trainer as well, Crenu picked up a vibe of experience coming from the rather tall guy. He decided to tag along a little while longer, it could prove more beneficial than just hearing an old windbag's lecture about pokemon. And there was always the chance that the seminar would prove to actually be interesting itself. "Guess I'll check it out, that is of course if you two don't mind a third wheel."

Unaware of the fact that Jaeshan didn't really like the museum Robin looked around with interest, maybe she would make a visit of there sometime. Turning her attention to the stage Robin looked at the big screen behind it that didn't show anything at the moment. On her shoulder Luffy was jumping around excitedly, how he managed to stay up there with out really needing to balance was amazing. "Oh those seats look good!" With a big smile on her face, glad she was right up front she placed her bag under the one she would sit on. Reaching up she plucked Luffy from her shoulder and placed him on one of the chairs next to her. Making sure the hyper Aipom was sitting on the chair and that he might not, but probably would move around she turned to Jaeshan. "So when do you think this thing is going to start?"

Just like Robin expected Luffy did not want to sit on the chair and instead started to climb all around it the moment she had turned her back. He figured as long as he stayed near the chair he wouldn't get yelled at. Laughing as he hung himself off the bars on the bottom of the chair and peaked out upside down at the others. They all looked so funny like this, especially the funny chicken!

Mazarin stood outside of his hotel, his hand over his eyes as he scoped out the beach. All he saw was a group of people huddled around near the Pokemon Center. What could have been going on? A battle, perhaps? He waltzed on over like it was nothing, whistling to himself. Banette floated next to him, attempting to whistle, but found no sound coming out of his zipped mouth. "What're you lookin' at?" Maz said to a young boy who was staring at his wings, "Never seen a pair o' wings before? Look I can fly!" The boy gasped. "Keep your eyes facin' dat way." He took a few steps back then jumped right over the boy, "Don't move! Keep lookin'!" The little boy cheered, amazed that he flew!

Mazarin slipped his hands into his pockets, strolling passed the group of people. He caught a glimpse of a tuft of black hair, and felt the ground shake under him as an Aggron stomped his way over to an Arcanine. "Can't be Kilik," he shrugged, "He doesn't have an Aggron." He looped around the group and headed up towards the Pokemon Center. If 'Kyoka' were anywhere, he'd most likely show up at the Pokemon Center at some point in the day. Yet as he was walking up, he noticed a looong pair of legs. Why, hello there Pippy Legstalking. He glanced over his shoulder at Banette and raised his eyebrows three times in quick succession. The Ghost Pokemon did the same.

"Well, helloooo," he said, "I recall you hangin' with my bro Kilik!" Mazarin stood with M.A., then quickly noticed that there were two other guys. Whoa! This chick is into some pretty hot stuff! he thought and chuckled silently. "I'm lookin' for him and I figure if I hang witchu, I'll find him faster. You...do know my man, Kilik, right?" He scratched the back of his head. Lord knew he didn't want that other boy with the blond hair to think he were up to something (which he was) because he looked like he could easily beat him up (which he most likely could). Maz's other arm slooowly went around M.A's shoulders. Banette bobbed up and down, tilting his head at the Chansey. What a strange looking Pokemon.

"Ahh, Kirsa, good. You called."

"I told you not to call me unless it was important, papa." Kirsa was smiling despite the scolding she was giving her father. "I said I would call you to check in, didn't I?" "Ja, ja, I know. But I vas unable to...vhat is vord I'm looking for?"

"Restrain yourself?" Kirsa offered, idly pacing around near the end of the dock as she spoke.

"Restrain meinself, ja. So how vas party?"

"Noisy and crowded. It's clearing up, though, because the seminar will be starting soon...."

Kirsa was out there for a while, chatting away now so she wouldn't have to do it later tonight, telling Johan about everything that had transpired thus far that day, from she and Hans' first battle against the Hoothoot up until just before she called, about how Rolf and Hans were obviously getting along despite the Poochyena making it clear it was his goal in life to pester his Houndour companion relentlessly and that her crazy new friend had a Pokemon egg that was going to hatch soon. The cadet walked the length of the dock several times during their conversation, occasionally stopping to look at the sea or back toward the beach. The sun was getting low...how long had she been on the phone? Deciding that she had better wrap it up, Kirsa bid auf wierdersehen to her father with promises that yes, she would call him, before she was finally able to hang up.

Whew...she loved Johan dearly, but he could certainly be a handful sometimes. After her phone was stowed away Kirsa turned about to head back toward the main area of town, only to find her path blocked.

"I thought that was you, Cadet Lass. No one off duty is crazy enough to wear their uniform to the freakin' beach."

Oh, gods almighty. It was the sailor from earlier, only this time he was in casual clothes and grinning like an idiot down at her.

Kasiya barely had time to react to Keegan before he was being hauled off by a girl with a familiar head of bright pink hair... Sasha? She didn't get a chance to question exactly what was going on as suddenly the ground began to tremble. Kasiya spun around to see what was going on and let out a surprised cry as she saw that Kilik had released his Aggron and it was now charging towards her. Uh, all right, she thought, taking a step back, also having thought the battle was over.

Hiro, on the other hand, had rose to his feet the second he saw the large Pokemon appear in front of him, defiance gleaming in his eyes. He made no sounds, only gently brushed past his trainer and took up a defensive stance, ready to meet the steel beast head on. "Hiro..." Kasiya murmured, but clenched her fist. No, this wasn't going to happen. Despite what Kilik seemed to believe, Hiro was strong, and they were going to prove it to him. The Arcanine positioned himself so that his bad leg was protected and out of the way, though one wouldn't know of his injury just by looking at him. He readied himself as Aggron got near, waiting until he were close before he opened his mouth and let out a ferocious Flamethrower, keeping it up even as the Iron Armor Pokemon slammed into him. Hiro used all his strength to fight back, his massive paws making deep indentations in the sands. Hiro knew that this Aggron was a strong opponent and he respected that, but he wasn't about to let down Kasiya. The Arcanine let out a growl before he broke free of the struggle, letting out a loud roar as he did so.

Jaeshan was quite glad to arrive at their destination, as he could swear that Combusken was growing heavier and heavier up on his shoulders. Once they reached their seats he sat down with a grunt, hauling the excited Pokemon down and placing her in the seat next to him, like Robin had done with Luffy. "I don't know, actually," he replied with a shrug. "I guess we've got a bit to wait... doesn't look like they're done setting up yet." He made himself comfortable, setting his own bag down by his feet. It was easy to see that this was going to be some kind of big event, as not only were there the people getting the stage and whatnot ready, but several different TV crews seemed to be gearing up as well. "Interesting," Jaeshan murmured, though he didn't have a good feeling about all this.

Beside him, Combusken was sitting quietly, peering around the two humans to try and see what Luffy was doing. As usual, he was goofing off, and as much as Combusken wanted to play as well, she decided that it was more important for her to remain right next to Jae and act like a body guard of sorts.

Kilik sighed and lifted up the Great Ball. He could have kept going, he knew that much, but he wasn't going to bother. "I don't have time for this," he said calmly. He recalled his Pokemon and stuffed the ball back into his bag. "Good match. Congrats on your evolution," he said, rather coldly and turn on his heel, walking away. A few of the people in the crowd parted as he muscled his way through them. Flareon's ears perked up. The fox looked over at Ariel and whimpered. He would have to play with her later. With that, the fox ran after his trainer, quickly reaching his side. He wore a frown as he walked down the path leading into the city. I don't understand it! he thought angrily, I should have won! What did I do wrong!? The boy sighed as he recalled Flareon - he wasn't really in the mood to see the fox be mopey too. Kilik stood on the warm cement and suddenly felt a slight tingling sensation in his leg. When he looked down, he noticed a yellow plug Pokemon standing next to him. "Cable!" he jumped, then crouched down, picking up the Pokemon, "Where'd you run off to?" He wore a slight smile as he patted Cable in between the prongs.

Elekid's expression was blank. It's not like he could tell Kilik even if he wanted to. He merely flexed his muscles to signal: I was training. He could sense his Trainer's worry and...another emotion. He couldn't exactly describe it. "Ele?" he raised an eyebrow and frowned a bit. "Don't worry about it, Cable," the boy said, putting him back on the ground, "C'mon. We've got some shopping to do." He patted the side of his leg and started walking towards the PokeMart. Kilik pulled out a disc from his bag, a TM04 that he won from beating Sabrina, and sighed.

"I'll never use this," he said, "So I'll just sell it. What do you think Cable?" he looked down at his Pokemon. The plug gave his trainer a thumbs up. He wasn't around at the time he received it, but he was pretty sure none of his Pokemon could use it effectively. Kilik smiled a bit more. "Good, I was hoping you'd say that." He stepped through the automatic door and waved at the clerk. She was just getting ready to head out, it seemed.

"Oh. Hello," she said simply, "How can I help you?" She placed her hands on the counter top. Kilik put the TM04 on the counter and said, "I'd like to sell this, and make a few purchases." The woman took up the disc and examined it, making sure it hadn't been used or scratched then put it into her stock. "I can give you 2000 for it. What did you want to buy?" She tapped her finger on the register.

Kilik blinked. "Uhm..." he scanned through the list of TMs that she had and tapped his finger on the ones that interested him the most. "I could always use another Brick Break," he laughed, "Aaand...oh! How much is Dragon Claw?" he looked up from the list. "Both of them together would run you 4500." The woman sighed quietly. "Ouch!" he scratched the back of his head. "Hm...though I suppose I could just not buy anything after a while. Or sell some more things if I need to. Alright!" He pulled the 2500 out of his wallet and combined it with the 2000 store credit he'd received from his TM04. She rummaged through a box behind the desk and handed over the two discs: a pale blue one with a hint of purple with TM02 carved in the top, and a red one with TM31 inscribed. "Thanks for your business," she said, finally able to end her shift.

Kilik put the two discs in his bag and walked out. "Alright Cable," he said, "We'll go on to the Pokemon Center, rest up my Pokemon and then go on to the seminar. How's that sound?" After spending a bit of cash, he felt a little bit better about his loss. But once that thought came to mind, his smile faded somewhat. "Let's go.." he said quietly. Cable jumped and waddled with his trainer. He wondered who he bought those two TMs for. Surely not him - he didn't have very long claws to slash with and he already knew Brick Break. The Elekid jumped up onto Kilik's shoulder, his feet hurting from all the walking he had done today. "I guess you could use a check up too?"

Katie studied the little plant as Genki hopped down from her shoulders and took up an offensive stance. "We've definitely got the advantage here," Katie mumbled, though despite that fact she knew better than to get comfortable. She'd seen fire-types lose to grass-types and the like, and though not a commonplace thing, she certainly didn't want to end up as a statistic. 'A grass-type like this would be helpful in the first gym,' she reasoned, watching as the two small Pokemon squared off. The Budew was still quite angry, judging by the way it was hopping up and down and making growling sounds at the Chimchar. Without any warning, the small plant suddenly spun around in a tight circle, water dripping from the folds in its buds, and soon it, and the entire area had been soaked with water.

"Water sport," Katie sighed, shaking her head. "That means your fire-type moves won't be as effective now, Genki," she told the Chimchar, who frowned in reply. "Let's just go with scratch for now!" That worked for Genki, and he growled as he rushed forward, flame burning brightly. The agile chimp jumped into the air and did a nifty little flip before landing behind the Budew and slashing horizontally with his claws. The flower staggered forward from the blow, turning quickly on its little stubbly legs and launching a small green orb in retaliation. It slammed into the Chimchar's chest and vanished, reappearing a moment later before returning to its owner. Genki felt a slight tingling sensation as some of his health was stolen by the Budew but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.

"Now try your ember," Katie said, kneeling to the ground and reaching into her bag. Which pouch had she put those empty pokeballs into anyway? Genki jumped up into the air, flame flickering brightly as he opened his mouth and sent out a small burst of flames. Even with the water sport in effect the budew shrieked as it felt the flames licking at it's sensitive skin and it let out one last growl before retreating back into the long grass where it had come from.

"Hah, you beat it Genki, great job!" Katie cheered, reaching down to pick up her Pokemon. She was a little disappointed that the Budew had gotten away, but at the very least Genki had won another battle.

"Oh no, of course not," M.A. smiled brightly. "I'm almost always a third wheel anyhow," she added, any negative connotation on the word lost in her rosy-colored glasses. The latter comment originated from the fact that she often tagged along when Sae and his fiance were out shopping or what not, and thanks to this she was quite often the oblivious c**k-blocker.

"Let's go then, shall we!" Sae grinned, prepared to march off, when some strange guy with -- what the hell? -- Charizard wings plopped by, obviously addressing M.A. What is up with all these guys? the brother thought grumpily, glancing swiftly at his sister. What were they coming to her for? She was such a lanky thing, had a boyish figure, he thought defensively. But he figured he could see the value of those freckles of hers, and her dimples were quite adorable... Before Sae knew it, he had sunk into his doting-brother mode, though he was not incestuous enough to think of what guys really saw, which apparently were her mile-long legs. Upon noticing Mazarin's creeping arm, however, the tall young man quickly snapped out it.

"Hands off my sister, buddy," Sae said with an amiable grin. But his aura was definitely murderous, and M.A., who did not look at her brother and misheard his threat as a friendly greeting, suddenly shivered even though there was no breeze to speak of. Hell was freezing over.

"Yea, I've met him," M.A. said, a bit confused as she rubbed her hands over her arms. "But who are you? And are you... it's called cosplaying, right?"

over the river and through the woods...

Jenny was about to start thinking about the problem when her cell phone rang. "Hold on a sec," she said, holding up one gloved finger to those in the PokeCenter. She went through her pocket and pulled out a sleek, slim pink thing that Jun had gotten her last Christmas.

"Hello, John... I'm fine, thank you, and yourself? ... Huh... Really! What do you think that means?" Jenny said, subconsciously glancing over at the couch where the Duskull had hid itself. "Oh, I see. Well I think I might have a lead, but I'm not certain. I'll call you back if I find anything out. Alright, good night to you too." Click.

"Aidan, it appears that a baby Duskull escaped from the Pokemon Breeders' today, the one that the mayor's sun has been expecting," Jenny said, eyes drifting away from the corner of the couch to reach the one sitting on it. "Do you think that one might be it?"

Jun tapped his feet on the floor impatiently, mostly because he wasn't occupying his favorite seat in the house -- the center of attention. Ronnie, meanwhile, was content in humming and painting Aidan's bike a lovely shade of pink.

Alice had moved her bag closer to the group as the phone call went on. Kadaj quickly ran over and jumped on the seat next to her and nudged her hip. She couldn't help but ease drop on the conversation. She was shocked to hear a pokemon escaping a breeding ranch. "They must have been poor breeders to let a pokemon escape, even small family breeders don't let that happen! I mean, at my grandparents place-" She paused and realized she completely butted into a conversation she didn't belong. There was a silence as everyone stared at her and she had forgotten shat she was going to say next. "...." An awkward embarrassed feeling went down her spine. Crap, you've done it again! Stop sticking your nose were it doesn't belong! Crap, crap, crap!
"Uhhh, the Duskull also looks hungry." She said before quickly whirling around and sitting next to her bags and Kadaj. He scurried over and sat on her lap, she scratched his head as he rested his chin on her thigh.

Aidan just shrugged at Officer Jenny's question. "It could be, I saw the egg though when it started following me though." Aidan really didn't know where this Duskull came from. It did seem like a big coincidence, that and if it was the mayors son... Well Aidan didn't like to talk bad about people but the kid was not the nicest person in town. The small Duskull that was hiding and seemed to be pretty shy would not be to happy with him.

As if sensing that Aidan was thinking of him the small ghost pokemon peaked over through the couch. For whatever reason the ghost pokemon seemed to really like Aidan. When the Duskull heard Alice talking about food he floated over to her. He was very hungry! He was also very interested in food, looking in her bag though proved that there was no food... The Duskull seemed to slump somewhat before remembering that Aidan was a good cook! That settled he floated back over to Aidan and pointed a ghostly hand to his mouth.

Aidan just stared at the small ghost motioning before looking back up to Officer Jenny. "Should I feed it? It is either wild or the mayors son." Either way it seemed to be rude to feed a pokemon that didn't belong to him with out the owners permission. He felt bad for the small ghost because it really did seem to like him, if it did go to the mayors son he would feel bad for the Duskull.
