Riyo had practically leaped out of the wagon onto solid ground, where she became reacquainted with the lovely dirt that caressed her feet. "Oh ground. Don't leave me again." She whispered softly. Though, she couldn't help but be distracted by the many wonders of this place as they continued on.
Atticus followed her quietly, his eyes also wandering around the city and everything it had to offer. He could safely say that this was his first time seeing anything at such a large scale (no pun intended). Though, even through this, he had to wonder just where they were going.

The interior of the palace definitely exceeded his expectations. Blade's eyes widened as they entered the garden. Though he had done a fair amount of traveling, he never seen anything like this. And to think that all of this existed with very few people knowing of it was a bit mind boggling. Though, he supposed being in the middle of a big desert helped it out some.
"Wow.." he uttered as they continued to walk.

Once Poke had managed to drink some of the water, Durzo let her head rest on the pillow again and set the glass aside. To her thanks he only nodded before pulling up a chair to sit beside her bed. He had made a couple of attempts to use his healing magic before but the damage had been so bad that he had began to wonder if it was beyond his repair. Now that the girl was awake maybe it would have more of an effect. Reaching out his over large hand again he hovered it above her head. His other hand came to hover over her waist and a bright light began to engulf them. Healing magic wasn't his strong suit, but he would do his best to see the girl get well. While the others seemed to detest the outsiders, Durzo was curious about them.
"Relax." He instructed as he attempted once again to use his healing magic.
(Poke, I'll let you decide if it works and if it does how well.)

Poke hadn't expected the man to do what he was about to do. She watched him hold his hands over her head and waist before a green light was emitted from them. Her eyes widened and she could feel her body struggle to mend itself with the energy.
She had heard of people who were able to use white magic to heal people, but never had witnessed it before. She believed it would be amazing to be able to help people like that, but she doubted she could master this type of magic when she couldn't even use water magic. She had spent to much time using her training her body physically instead of mentally.
She laid there staying as relaxed as possible, until he had stopped. Then she managed to sit herself up in bed. She felt much better now, but she would still need some rest to recover completely.
"That...was amazing!" she said to the man, whom she could clearly see now. She also noticed that as well as him, the bed and the entire building were huge, built for people much larger then herself.

Well it seemed to have done a better job this time. Already she seemed to be doing much better. To her exclamation, he gave a soft rumble from his throat and nodded. Standing back up at his full height he put the chair away and headed for the door. "There will be food soon...I will come get you once its ready. Rest for now." And with that he left having done more talking in the last five minutes than he had done in the last few years of his life. At least with anyone aside from the Elder. He would have to let the Elder know their other guest was doing better.
Sohki lead the group through the garden and up the stairs of the palace. Once they were inside it seemed a straight forward path to their destination. One large hallway lead all the way down to a chamber that looked like it could easily hold a few large dragons easily. And there was Hakim, waiting for their return. "As you requested, I brought them to you, My Lord." He knelt to his elder and awaited further instruction.
It was hard for Neko to take in the place. It was so large it made him feel incredibly small. Kind of like a rodent among predators. Warily he kept an eye out for danger but everything seemed to be alright.

It was amazing to see how tall this person was, once he stood up and left for the door. At the mention of rest, poke nodded her head and settled down under the bed covers. It felt so nice to be in a bed after all this time, so she would enjoy it as much as possible. And, even with the healing magic, she doubted she would be fully cured. With a grimace she tried not to think of how injured she had been before
((I was reading the injury page hitsu made for us a few years back BD Maybe we should update it, cause some of the characters have recovered while others haven't Also if you'd like you could put poke under there as I don't think she'll be 100% for a few days, as by the sounds of it she had internal damage as well from the heat, and I don't think a healing spell would completely cure something like that.))

((Speaking of that.. shun needs to be on the injury list for his eye...))
Upon the arrival of their new guests, Hakim smiled warmly and stood up from his seat and spread his arms in a welcoming gesture.
"Welcome friends, and thank you Sohki for bringing them here. You may continue with your normal duties for the time being," he greeted before looking at each of them individually. A motley group they seemed to be; several felines, two canines (counting Tobi), an avian and a human. The human wasn't quite a full blooded one from what he could tell, however. They all seemed to be quite worn down, which wasn't much of a surprise to the dragon elder.
"I am Hakim, elder to the dragons. Who might you travelers be?" he asked. His tone was soft and rather sincere. Overall, his demeanor and attitude was quite different than that of Sohki or the other guards that had escorted them to the palace.
Hearing that this was the elder, Blade bowed down briefly, thinking that it may be best to show respect. The dragon seemed to be rather old, but he had little doubt that Hakim wasn't as powerful as the rest of the dragons... if not moreso.
"I'm Blade... Faryn," he said, possibly saying his surname for the first time in front of the others. It made Hakim's eyebrow quirk briefly, but he said nothing of it.

As the elder instructed, Sohki took his leave. He only cast a short glance back hoping that everything would be all right in his absence. With a slight shake of his head Sohki went about his normal patrol.
"Uh...I'm Neko." Neko offered and also bowed slightly in respect. Best to show it and not tick off the over large reptiles.
Although she knew they were offering their names, Mitsu did not speak, she simply ducked behind Yuki peering around him at the elder suddenly feeling shy. It was taking her a minute to absorb his appearance, his beard was so long! She had never seen anyone with a beard quite like that.

Upon arrival to the main room, Riyo was too busy looking at the scenery to notice a man on a throne... That is, until they stopped walking.
When everybody froze, Riyo processed that she needed to stop too, and automatically looked forward. Woah, she'd never seen anybody so old looking. In fact, he looked like the definition of old. Of course, she wouldn't say any of that.
Her head turned to Blade and Neko, who bowed and introduced themselves. Should she do that? She looked back to the elder, then to her two friends, and awkwardly attempted the same thing that they had done. She'd never met anybody "important", so these formalities were alien to her.
"I'm Riyo..." She paused. "Uh. Just Riyo, I guess." She hadn't known Blade had two names. Or that people could have two names...
"I am Atticus Rall." Came a voice from behind her. The raven stepped forward and took a bow much like a butler would. "Pleasure to meet you." He added, though he couldn't help but feel inadequate being covered in sweat and looking like a mess.

Yuki had been just as anxious to get out of the wagon as Riyo and Mitsu, falling to his knees both in nausea and dizziness. Though kissing the ground did cross his mind, he managed to refrain. If only because he knew that the taste of dirt would most likely make him feel even sicker.
Hitsu was nauseous, and that was more than enough. Back on solid ground, though, thankfully that feeling began to ease as they walked. She admired the city, unlike anything she had ever dreamed of. Until they'd left their village, she couldn't have even imagined the cities they had been to before now. This was overwhelming. Enormous.
Like the others around them, the siblings were awestruck by the city and everything about it. It was like a dream. Or, had they actually died and crossed over into some Godly realm? The gardens they passed on their way to the palace doors had gained Hitsu's full attention until they were out of sight. She wanted to get a closer look at those flowers; hopefully they would be allowed to look around if this Elder approved of them.
And soon, they were alone in the presence of the Elder. Yuki seemed relieved. Despite this being another dragon, this one certainly didn't seem to hold the suspicious, if not menacing aura that the others had... Yuki was thankful for that.
When the Elder had introduced himself and asked their names, Hitsu and Yuki both offered respectful bows before offering a response.
"I'm Hitsu!" She smiled, "You have a beautiful home. Thank you for allowing your people to bring us here." She probably would have continued, but Yuki put a hand on her shoulder to silence her.
"Yuki," he stated simply. He leaned to one side a bit, trying to get a glimpse of Mitsu. "This is Mitsu... She's a nervous one around new places and people..."

As each of the visitors introduced themselves, Hakim nodded. He couldn't help but chuckle softly towards the end as the shy one was introduced.
"Why thank you, Hitsu," he replied with a smile before looking towards Mitsu, "There's nothing to be worried for here, child. As long as you all don't cause trouble, you are welcome to stay."
"I also apologize if any of our citizens are a bit... standoffish. My kind aren't very used to having visitors and may be wary of outsiders due to the problems in the past," he added after a short pause.
"Now... do any of you have any questions? You all look rather weary from travels so I do not wish to keep you from your rest."
Blade shifted somewhat as the elder said that.

To the Elder, Mitsu gave a nod, though she did not venture out of what she considered to be hiding. She listened to his explanation of the citizen and why they may be less than friendly. No wonder they didn't have many visitors, who would travel this far out in the middle of no where?.....and it was so hot.
Neko listened but awaited his moment to speak. He was so tired that his mind was far from processing an audible sentence let alone a question. Words started to form on the tip of his tongue but as they did the large brute of a dragon walked into the chamber.
Durzo didn't even pause to glance at the visitors as he knelt quickly at the steps leading to the elder to show his respects. Rising to his feet he approached the older dragon and explained in hushed tones that their other guest seemed to be coming around. He didn't seem comfortable enough to speak loud enough for the others to hear, but spoke freely to the Elder none the less.
"She will no doubt be hungry," Durzo explained. Finally looking back he eyed the group for a moment before turning back to the Elder. "Do you wish that I take them to the bath house before I show them to the dining hall?" His voice rumbled with every word, no doubt sounding like a low growl to everyone else.

Riyo softly shook her head as the elder asked if they had any questions. While all of this was great and amazing, her mind flocked to the things she'd known all her life. Like food, and water, and...
She could've swore she just heard the word 'bath', or something resembling it. Her knees got weak at the thought of submerging her filthy skin in water and cleaning off the sweat, sand, and general nastyness she was currently covered with. Ohhhh, sweet heaven. Her face looked like some shapely man with golden curly locks standing on a waterfall wearing nothing but a loincloth had swept her off her feet and was about to ride off with her into the sunset. If the word had actually been spoken clearly, she probably would've drooled a little.
Atticus saw this, and thought about calling her out, but decided these things were best left when the party wasn't surrounded by... These new acquaintances.
"I have no questions, but thank you for your hospitality." he responded to the elder's question, being as polite as was possible for him. He followed it up with another bow.

As the large silent dragon came by, Hakim turned his attention away from the guests momentarily to see what he had to say. Nodding, he soon replied to Durzo, "Yes yes, that would be good. I'm sure the girl would like that as well, so please take them all there Durzo."
Smiling, he faced the others once more and spoke more audibly for them, "Durzo here will lead you to the bathhouse. I'm certain you all would like to freshen up before dinner. We actually have one other guest with us and she will be joining you as well."
During the wait to see if anyone had any questions, Blade took note of the.... look on Riyo's face. Raising an eyebrow, he decided not to question it and looked back towards the dragon elder. Shifting once again, he stepped forth somewhat hesitantly.
"There is something I'd like to know... but could I ask a little more privately?" he said with some uncertainty. Hakim looked at him with some curiosity before nodding and waving the human to come closer. Blade shot a glance back towards his friends before quietly continuing.
"This is a bit of a long shot... but would you happen to know Dirk Faryn?"
A sort of enlightened look appeared on the dragon elder's face as he put two and two together. The boy did bear some resemblance to the man in question, but was too young to be Dirk's son.
"So Lance had a son then?" he mused "Yes, Dirk used to live in the oasis and worked one of the smithies in the market district... but I'm afraid he passed on a number of years ago."
At first, Blade's eyes lit up as the elder knew of Dirk, but disappointment soon set in as his grandfather was no longer around.
"I see... thank you for answering."

Durzo nodded to Hakim before he took a bow. He headed down the steps and waited there with the group while one traveler stepped forward to ask a question. Once that seemed to be done Durzo nodded his head slightly to the right to indicate the direction they were headed. Silently, the large behemoth led them from the chamber they were currently in and through the halls of the palace. It seemed like a great deal of walking, everything was so large.
Their journey took them once again outside and through the gardens. The cobble path they followed was intricately laid with color tiles set in patterns that varied as the path grew large or small. A scent, not unlike honey filled the air, wafting from the nearby flowers that were a burst of reds, oranges, yellows, and even blue. In the center of the maze they were following sat a fountain, large like everything else, with a dragon as its centerpiece spitting water up into the air so that it could rain down and collect in a pool at the dragon's feet.
It was so like a dream that all too soon it was over and they were leaving the garden behind. Entering the city once again, Durzo led them through the streets to a large building not far away. Before they even entered the smell of bath salts and herbal water clung to the air in a very inviting way. They passed through the large doors carved from stone and entered into an expansive lobby.
Waving the group forward, Durzo merely nodded to the lady at the desk before he pushed through another set of doors that led to the baths. A burst of humidity was the first sign that it was going to be warm as the group moved into the room behind the dragon. The room itself had an outdoor, hot springs, feel to it. The pool of water, which was about the size of a large pond, traveled throughout the room in an irregular shape. Stones lined the pool's edge leaving plenty of space to sit or lay out. On one end there was a waterfall feeding fresh warm water into the facility while the other end seemed to provide a steam spa for those who just couldn't get enough heat or humidity.
Awe struck Neko took a step back to take it all in. This place was a little more than he imagined, very elaborate for a bath house. "So who's bath is this?" There were currently no people here so it was hard to say. He had questioned why they had walked right in, but perhaps the dragon knew no one would be here.
Instead of Durzo answering, it was the woman who had been at the desk. Currently she was walking in with an arm full of fluffy white towels. "There is only this bath."
"So....do we draw straws to see who goes first?" Neko continued to question, getting a funny feeling about this place all of a sudden.
Despite herself the desk lady giggled into the towels. "Outsiders really are different. You share the bath, there is no need to hide here."
Neko quirked a brow, he wasn't really shy....but he wasn't sure how this was going to go over.
"Do we bathe with our clothes on?" Mitsu had directed her question to their group, still not comfortable talking with the new people around them.
"No, no, silly." Desk lady gave another giggle. How cute these outsiders were. They didn't seem scary at all...though maybe a little lacking in brains. "Leave your clothes here, I will collect them to have them washed."
With a bow Durzo gave his leave, allowing the desk lady to do her job. She would help them understand the way of the bath house. Swiftly he was out the door and heading back to the medic rooms. Maybe their other guest would like a bath as well before dinner.
