Gizdean smirked lightly. he'd gotten what he wanted, and left the remains laying in a heap on the floor, wrapping the misery chain back around his forearm and putting it in his bag.
"business is run with the d'vinns, so I'll find them after a visit there."
and he slipped into shadow and off the radar.
"Well he wants to. not like a duel to the death you know. more like a 'lets see how good I am compared to my hero' type thing. tournament style."
smiling lightly at him.
"Was I really so bad to you that you recoil like that from me?"

"Fine, you can move things." Shaking his head and merely watching the toddler toddle off. How did she get him to do that. He could never get them to do that. "Oh..." Giving one of those slightly embarassed looks that he didnt' even know he was capable of making, accompanied by his usual lopsided grin on such matters. "We never get much on the first go around, but if you want to we can. Though do remember, I'm not very good at it." Worried look, "Should we do that with no one around to watch Kelligrin?"

"There's one every year. Why doesn't he just wait until then and enter the official. Then everything will have to be aboveboard and following the rules. Malik usually enters though last year he didn't because Malikhai did." Watching her for a moment and then shifting his gaze to somewhere behind her shoulder. "It wasn't something I'm used to..."
He was so adorable when he looked like that she just couldn't help kissing him. Wrapping her arms around him tightly and nuzzling her head into his chest. "It's enough. It all has to be done in stages anyway." Linking their fingers and letting her grin widen slightly. "That's what we have Nym for. He'll keep an eye on him and let us know if something is wrong. Besides, you have that baby runed so much that if he even falls, we'll know instantly." Taking his hand and leading him up to their room then settled on the bed, crosslegged and holding up her hands, palms out. "Ready?"

"Until he gets distracted by something shiny." Shaking his head and popping an eyebrow at her, even as she was all affectionate with him. "He sways a lot and I worry about him cracking his little head open. It makes me feel better." But following her upstairs he settled onto the bed in the same posture, resting his hands against hers. This was always hard for him...his mind was just so screwed up and sectioned that he was always more like a ghost of a presence. But at least he tried his best. "Ready."
Thusly it was all about relaxing and letting the world melt away, letting himself focus on her since she would know where to focus from there. Focuse and listen and be open minded...that's all he had to remember but he never seemed to quite get it or his body wouldn't let him. Perhaps it was best...who knew what demons he had locked behind what doors anyway. Even for simple beginning things such as this.

"Special?" He didn't see it as such but perhaps that was the difference between them. "So you enjoyed it then? I wasn't sure..." Nibbling his lip and then taking a long gulp of wine. "It felt differently than I thought it was going to..."
"He knows better." Silly Sevilin. She adored how devoted he was to his family though, so different from the other males she'd known once upon a time. Settling down, she let her own body relax and she focused on that little sphere of energy she could feel floating around inside of her. It didn't take long to isolate it and gently prod. The first time it just shook and she could feel the baby twitching inside of her. She gentled the prod significantly and wrapped her own essence around his the way a mother would to her newborn. Don't be afraid...
It was faint, a rippling of energy that pinged her own and seemed to recognize it. She knew the moment it did and the baby began to move again. ...moootherrrrr...
She sent out a wave of comforting energy right back at the child and nodded her own affirmation. That's right. It was a boy! Her voice screamed along bond lines and straight into Sevilin's subconscious. Prodding him gently as well so that the child would recognize him.

He always felt stupid when he did this. Maybe it was because he didn't grasp the whole concept. All he knew was that Piper had explained it to Zahara and Zahara was excited and since then...well here they were. It wasn't bad...just different for him. So naturally he was uncomfortable a little with this all. But he merely tried to participate patiently. Ghosts and whispers of things, just as he was being perceived in the same faint manner he was sure. But information and prodding told him to try some. And I'm here too... he never knew what to say or think he supposed.

Gizdean was tracking through the underdark. silent, deadly, dangerous. but he was cautious. watching for the markers of runic borders. He was no fool to assume that someone possessing unique magics wouldn't employ it in their defense.

"I know that. Although it can mean more if you want it too, as well." He really didn't think he'd be sleeping with Cerrillia again, or any girl for a while for that matter. But it was nice to know he was good at what he did try to do...even if he hadn't had a clue of what he was doing. "Was there something I should have done differently? Or better?" Teenage pride sucked so much sometimes.
She sent positive energy to the baby when he twitched again at the new presence and rocked him. You know who that is, don't you?
The energy flailed for a moment and then soothed down to a normal heartbeat before a little boy's voice rang out. Father. A pause. Daddy. Mommy. Daddy.
Very good. She kept washing the baby in positive loving emotions as she talked to him. We're your mommy and daddy and we just wanted to meet you and see how you were doing. We can't stay for very long but you are okay?
A pause. Yes. Okay.
Good. We're so excited to see you like this and we can't wait for you to grow a little more so we can talk to you again.
When?
Soon, little one. Very soon. She could feel the connection lessening as the demanding process took its toll on the small life nestled inside of her and her own body steadily made her more aware of her surroundings, pulling her out of the relaxed meditative state. Leaping on Sevilin then and snuggling into his lap. "it's a boy and he's perfect."

As usual, she did most of the talking and he merely tired to listen. Though frankly he was surprised and startled, a little off kilter as she rocked him from that weird state of being. "That's good news. Though frankly I wasn't expecting a boy." After all, his repuation was for girls. "I assume that makes you happy?" The awkward stages of parenthood.

Whoa...that was daunting, wasn't it? Have sex for the second time in two days with a woman he hadn't really enjoyed it with the first time. He weighed the possibilities in his mind and then glanced at her again and nodded. "Alright. Teach me everything you know." Was he going to regret this? No...why should he?
She plopped a kiss on his lips and nodded. "I am very happy, but it doesn't matter if it's a boy or girl. Even if you usually give me baby girls. We'll have three boys and two girls now." She missed her girls...badly. "Which means we need to come up with a name."

setting her glass down and taking his hand, before leading him to her private room, which was a flamboyant as probably anything Malik had ever conceived...letting him in the room first, and closing the door behind them.

"I like to mix it up a little bit?" But he sat up, pulling her into his lap properly and brushing a hand through her hair. "Is it my turn to come up with a name or is it your turn?" Name switching, it was an interesting concept but it had to do with a tiff they had over Faate or something. He couldn't exactly recall but it was a system that was in use now. "Good to know you're in a good mood though, it may get better."

"Whatever works." Yes, he was back to being his teenage self because he was in an awkward situation and had no real idea how to handle it. Glancing at the closed door, he glanced around the same room he'd been in before and then quirked an eyebrow. "This isn't a trap, right? You're really just here to teach me?"
She snuggled into his warm embrace and nibbled at the skin revealed at the vee of his tunic. "Yours. I chose Kelligrin because it was close to yours, remember?" Nestling down against him before she frowned and glanced up. "Better? Sevilin Inthara, do you have something up your sleeve?" She leaned back so she could see his eyes and then laughed. "You do!"
