Have you guys considered doing something about peoples' different faiths? I think it would be interesting to see what the members here believe in. Maybe there might even be things about their believes/faiths/beliefs people didn't know.

humble_gypsy_traveller Rogue Angel Kiara Sesshoumaru_the_proud *looks around* Looks like I'm early...? o.o;;; We're still getting members. For now, the main thing is advertising for people to join. Chatterbox will pick up once our membership does. Feel free to look around at the other threads and tell me what you think. You should be able to post in "Mod Discussions!" too. Who wouldn' join...I mean...you guys are ALL AWESOME!!!! heart xd Hehe - I haven't looked at the older posts in a while. That was back from 2006 wink Our guild has gone through a few different captains since then (I became captain just recently) and we've gone through both busy and really quiet times. Things have been picking up again recently. It's been good and it's so nice to gain some great new and active members like you. humble_gypsy_traveller Have you guys considered doing something about peoples' different faiths? I think it would be interesting to see what the members here believe in. Maybe there might even be things about their believes/faiths/beliefs people didn't know. This is always a tricky topic. I do want people to feel comfortable talking about whatever they want to here. But at the same time it's one of those subjects where it's easy for people to get feelings hurt simply because matters of faith are tied so closely to emotions and people's sense of self. Having said that, if you or anyone else would like to start a thread regarding different faiths and/or lack thereof, please go ahead. I think the best place for it would be in the Real Life Issues forum. And I ask that people be respectful of each other and perhaps even more importantly; that if you venture into the thread that you have a thick skin and don't easily take offense at what others have to say. 4laugh I do think I could be really interesting if we handle it carefully. 3nodding

I understand, as a fly on the wall from experiencing some of my friends who head faith type groups that it's not an easy task.

I know that what a lot of people like to do is find others that share the same or similar belief systems as themselves simply so they can chat with other friendly and like-minded people. (sorry awkward sentence but I hope you understand what I mean)
So another way to approach the "faith-based" issue is to make specific threads just for those with the same beliefs. For example you can make a thread entitled, "Any other Wiccans here?", Or "A place for Christians to chat." or "Atheist Discussion Group," etc...
This way people can have a "safe" thread to find each other and if you don't agree with the beliefs of a specific thread you can follow the "if you don't have something nice to say - go make your own thread" policy. wink

I'm a follower of spiritual-physics, so I can't explain my faith without being asked. xd I like to think of it as the fight club of faiths, "Rule 1: You don't talk about fight club!" But actually it's just avoiding being a douchenozzle. xd

Of course. But you have to be careful here. If it's in a separate thread that has a view very different than yours, then I would not say that simply stating their belief is bashing yours. If it gets personal (i.e. directed at a specific person or obviously insulting, then of course that would be bad) I think it would be a good idea if in the first post people stated clearly what the purpose of the thread was. If it's a thread to debate different philosophies it's going to have a very different tone than if you just want to find other like-minded folk to connect with. In a "like-minded" only thread, maybe you can post that people are welcome to come in an ask non-judgmental type questions if they are curious - but it isn't the place to tell people they are wrong.

I agree that talking about religion is almost always a sticky thing. Most people here seem pretty chill and respectful, so we might be able to handle it. But the truth is a lot of people have weird hangups about religion.

Sammirah Hey everyone, go and cast your vote for Capturika! if you have not done so already. 3nodding This contest is a great idea! Especially the current pic! I have a real tongue-in-cheek sense of humour, so I love these kinds of things...it's a perfect avenue for people that have a "creative" frame of mind. rofl

Argh...I'm going swimming today with my g/f to our friend's place...I'm so selfconscious about my fat belly though. Given...I'm not grossly overweight, it's just a beerbelly that I can't seem to get rid of, no matter how well I eat or how many situps I do! gonk crying

I think almost everyone has it, whether they have something to worry about or not. My guess is most people are so self conscious about their own body, they don't put too much thought into other people. Unless of course there's someone there with a smokin hot body! Then nobody really cares about anything else except trying not to look like they are staring. rofl Oh and I think Exxos' background is from the Shadowlegend item.
