Well, who are the two remaining fighters waiting to be put in matches for the Commerce 2nd round ?

Gelmax and Toastbusters.

I saw the first one and was honestly rooting for Gelgel to take that second spot.

GOD DAMN IT!

I got pretty far spamming Helm Breaker, but it still wasn't the best.
However, spamming Revolver on Agri and fighting Super Rudra blows.

I HATE THIS GAME, YET I LOVE IT.

What style are you using? Cause dashing w/ Trickster out of their swings so that they hit each other is a good way to cause damage... also, try to get them to crash their swords. They both get disarmed, and you have a nice shot at unarmed golems...

Man... my match is insane.

I bought DMC3 Special Edition a few months ago. Still working on beating it with Vergil and Dante simultaneously, using Vergil and then Dante for each level before moving on to the next.

I'm managing to stay at Normal difficulty this time, miraculously. Back when I first rented DMC3(Which was also the first DMC game I ever played) I got put on Easy mode before I could even beat the second stage outside the shop. I was unprepared for that level of butt-kicking. It opened my eyes.

Curently the twin golems of fire and wind are also what's keeping my Vergil stuck from progressing in the game, but mainly due to me not having time to play more than difficulty. Not that they aren't freakishly hard like all the bosses.

I am NOT looking forward to fighting Beowulf again.... and yet at the same time I can't wait. And I'm not even on Hard Mode, let alone Dante Must Die.

I only got to rent DMC3, though, I'd say I didn't find it -Godly- difficult. Damned hard, but I kept playing on normal my entire time renting the game. Never got to try out Hard/Dante Must Die, I should get ol' PS2 again, DMC3 being a first-nab title.. domokun

Perhaps I find it less "blinding, searing Hard" because I'm the crazy b*****d that tried to beat every Mission in NG: Black in Hard Mode, then a considerable amount in Very Hard/Ninja Master mode. Or perhaps because of the time I set up my Fable [non-Lost Chapters, mind you] character to defeat Jack of Blades, with no armor.. and the stick / third-rate bow you pick up during that scenario for the final shot.

The stick of destruction.

Nothing's better than finally managing to defeat a near-omnipotent midget jackass wearing a mask, than at the hands of a guy with nothing on but British underwear waving a stick.

I never had much love for the Trickster, Royal Guard or Gunslinger styles in DMC3. Always prefered Swordmaster and just raped everything. Doppleganger wasn't too bad, also fun to let your friend plug in a controller, and rape even more a** with your doppleganger alongside you. Same goes for that Dante & Vergil Vs that annoying bald fella' near the end.

Agni and Rudra are whores on any difficulty purely for the two against one factor. I just kept my distance and whittled their health down with Ebony and Ivory, then go for the kill when they're both somewhat low on health. Either that or I just slam one and contend with the super of the other. Dodge, dodge, doge, take a shot/stab, rinse and repeat. Otherwise you just need to try and keep both of them in your view so you can dodge their attacks as needed. Because having a flaming sword rammed up your a** while you're fighting something that's already hard enough to contend with is not fun.

I struggled with Beowulf massively. It got to the point that I just had to load up on devil stars and spam DT constantly with the final move you learn in swordmaster style. gonk Such a whore.

I used Trickster the entire time through the game. Never had a problem anywhere with it.

The stick of destruction.

I just killed 12 men with a fork in Metal Gear Solid 3.

Ditto that. Trickster all the way.

Nothing beats on those giant scythe-wielding guys like Trickster. Just stand there wailing on them until you knock their weapon back, get in 3 or 4 good hits, and then dash to the side to avoid the overhead sweep... rinse and repeat. It's not even a fight, it's a slaughter.

Though Gunslinger is the way to go for fighting Cerberus. Just strafe around the outside of the room and never let up with the pistols, roll whenever ice starts falling, you won't even get touched.

I admit I never got as much use out of the wall run as I would have liked, but the triple dashes were sweet. Wail on an enemy's face then by the time they strike back you're already behind them.

Of all the bosses Cerberus was one of my favourites in terms of memories. Its a good first boss.

I didn't care for that vampire lady though. Not a memorable fight at all to me. I can barely recall how it went. And I didn't get much use out of the bat-summoning guitar she dropped either.

Use it on the train cart heading to/from Beowulf. s**t just DIES when it's pinned in and you go for the Rave.

I'll try to remember that. I used a few times for the novelty. I really spammed the Beowulf once I got them, though. lol. That and Rebellion.

Beowulf and Rebellion were the ones I used most once I got it.
Before that it was Rebellion and Agni and Rudra.
For certain areas I'd use Rebellion and Cerberus, though... like vs. Virgil the last time, Revolver 2 takes a hefty chunk out of his life when you have a clean shot.
