"Watcher? I suppose in a way. More like a playmate than anything else." He tilted his head and studied the girl before him but the perplexed expression proved he hadn't come to a meaningful conclusion. "I wouldn't put it past her; Mom has her ways." It was true though that she couldn't sit in the Underdark or she'd surely die. 'Keely will take good care of her. Are you planning on teaching her?"

Taking a moment to come out of her revine and dusting the top of her tan pants, Giedia realized the conversation was over. Eying Sevilin and his son, she prepared herself to meet this elf named Keely hoping beyond hope that she was nicer then these to. "Lead the way, I am egar to meet Keely and get relaxed due to all the wandering I had just done."

A shrug from the older elf to his son. "I haven't decided. From my experiences, students are a hassle." Aside from his own children of course but they were allowed to be as such because they were indeed his children. But Zahara and Galesen both had not been walking in the park and frankly he didn't know if he enjoyed it. Turning a look to the suddenly more compliant surface elf. "Have it your way, start off." Giving her a little push toward the fortress and turning a look to Zykariel for a moment. "Kariel, are you heading home?"
Keely of course had been at the door, watching Zykariel wander off but then was watching with interest as Sevilin came alone with...another elf? She wasn't sure at this distance. Human vision did have it's lacking qualities, especially in the dark that was down here. But seeing as Sevilin pushed the other this way...she had the feeling that he was passing her onto herself. Oh great, please don't let Malik have a problem with this...

His gaze suddenly grew speculative. "No, I have something I need to take care of, actually. But I'll be back soon." Giving his father a nod and then starting off towards that same spot he'd been in not that long ago actually. He found the house easily enough and knocked. Now, Cerrillia just had to be home and in the discussing mood. Not that he had a whole lot to give but still.

Cerrillia was indeed home, and opened the door within moments and pulled him inside..quick by not forcefully.
"So what have you learned?"
taking a seat n the couch and patting the spot next to her. her companions weren't visible, but were probably somewhere in the building.

Coming in, he brushed her hands off his chest and settled onto the sofa. "There's really not a whole lot of information to gather. Malik made his empire by cashing in on the opportunities once the Llothian powers were destroyed. He's used his fair share to get what he wants but he's one of the most powerful in this area and few will go against him. Those who had died were plundered and their homes overtaken by the strongest. In this case, Malik." A pause, "Part of that was confirmed by a rather large battle between the House of D'vinn and the Orcs who invaded many years ago. He has allies in the Vesendarians though they are not completely loyal to him and he has various enemies scattered but none are powerful enough to singlehandedly bring him down. I'd be willing to suggest that even if they banded together, they still wouldn't be able to bring him down."
"His family is popular and most either like the D'vinn's or are neutral towards them. His wife helped start the races here that I have benefited so much from and she runs a business down here as well. D'vinn has trade links with the surface that give him access to rare items and weapons that increase both the legendary stories and his own prowess. When he's not honing his skills, he's training in ancient magics, fighting styles, and brushing up on the culture and history of this plane and others. He will physically destroy anyone who touches his family or anyone under his protection and he's a sarcastic b*****d with a cruel streak as big as this plane." Giving her a smirk. "Is that enough?"

She watched him and took a drink while he went on his tangent, her face unreadable.
"You've done very well. better then expected. So the D'vinn Empire is basically built on the ashes of another, and through force of will or arms, he's managed to keep control. Very well. he has enemies but none have the power alone to best him and in your opinion them all together might not be able to do it."
giving a nod.
"that will be more then enough to satisfy my Queen's interest in how he gained this foothold here. And as I promised, I'll allow you to now attempt to satisfy Gizdean's mission. and he can tell you what he's after."
leaning in a bit toward him.
"I have been abit lonely, want to help me with that?"

"So you aren't satisfied?" It was hard pretending like the last time hadn't been horrible and completely wrecked him for sex for a long while. Somehow, he hoped he managed it. Reaching up and tucking a strand of bone white hair behind her ear, he smirked. "Not even with all those others here. Well, perhaps later. I'd much rather hear what your companion wants from me. Work before play after all." Taking her cheeks and planting a purposefully heated kiss on her lips. He knew he could kiss...even if he couldn't do certain other things. "Would you get him for me?"

She knew he wasn't that kind of boy...she could read kids like him like books. but she let him have his kiss and gave him a saucy little smirk.
"My companions are not the type for those activites. Gizdean is all about work, and the other is all about faith and work."
but she did get up, straightening her clothing a bit.
"Gizdean, do come and talk to our little friend."
before she walked off though kept her ears available...and Gizdean took her place, a black shadow of a figure. only his eyes were not covered in black leather and chain.
"Satisfying her and trying to do the same with me are two entirely different things, boy. but lets see how good you really are."
crossing his arms lightly.
"Malik came to Neriak with a woman. a surface born woman, with silver and red hair and multicolored eyes. this woman was his personal slave. she assaulted my guild leader and Malik paid a great deal of money to appease said guild leader."
waiting a moment.
"That is not a typical action from a professional slaver. My master wants to know the real relationship between the two. and once that information is found, further steps may be taken. Coin my by inaction, but it doesn't buy a lapse in memory."

Zykariel wanted to giggle. This was the much harder information to gather? If only he knew how simple it really was. Neriak...he'd heard stories about that place and had to assume that would be where Malik was originally from. But Malik calling her a slave was just preposterous and he actually laughed in Gizdean's face. "No? Could have fooled me. He'd destroy anyone who tried to harm his wife because that's who she is. Mother of his two sons, too which means she's under his protection." That was enough of a warning, right? Just in case that whole thing about his master meant some kind of retaliation.

Gizdean gave a hint of a smile. the boy was more a fool then his companion thought.
"His wife, is she? and two children, you say. how nice of you to give up that information so quickly and so promptly."
did this boy simply not know by look that he was an assassin? trained to kill powerful people and bypassing their securities?
"The Ebon Mask is grateful for that information. Now the question is how should I reward such a service. coin? you seem to be well off. other information? well..there's nothing you should know or need to know. how about a reward of opportunity."
Deftly slinging up a razor sharp dagger and spinning it in his hand before offering it to Zykariel.
"I have further buisness with your father. now you can do this service, and further earn favor with the Mask, or you can refuse, and well...you probably shouldn't refuse."
A smirk.
"I need a sample of your father. blood, hair, skin...whatever you choose. but you must use this blade to get it, and return both the sample and the blade to me. I'll know if you try anything funny."

Kariel wasn't worried since he could have stepped into any tavern and discovered the very same information he'd just given up. Gizdean was just lazy and wanted others to do the research for him. His next task made Zykariel raise a brow and seriously want to laugh. Was he nuts? The whole point of this was to protect his family, not hand his father over on a silver platter. And there was no way in hell he was going to be able to get anything off his father without a whole lot of questions. Taking the blade and studying it then, chuckling. "I'll tell you what, Gizdean. Why don't you see how quickly you can get it from him? I've done my part, now stop being lazy and do your own. If you can, that is."

Gizdean gave a chuckle.
"Lazy? hardly. I know where you got your information. and I already knew what you told me. but my master prefers to have more solid proof then my word alone. there is a reason why you were picked, you know. a member of house d'vinn, giving up information that could be used against them. how..stereotypical of you."
putting the dagger away.
"I could get it. but if I get it, people may get hurt. I don't have to face your father to get part of him. I'm sure that your mother could provide it. or maybe I could find it laying around your house. the bedroom, perhaps?"
watching him a moment.
"You don't know how his runics work. and we want to know. now, we can either poison him, and I assure you I have many poisons effective against any mage...we can send people to attempt to injure him, I can find, and get into your home, or you can do this service."
a harder look.
"I am not like Cerrillia. your good looks and nice body have no bearing on how useful you are to me, or how much interest I'll take in keeping you around if your usefulness ends."

"Then you lied to me. If you don't have to cut his hair or skin with that blade then why did I?" Crossing his arms and smirking. No, he wasn't stupid and he did know exactly what he was doing. He was House Inthara first, D'vinn came second to his own family, regardless. If Gizdean wanted a piece of his father, he was going to have to get it. And Zykariel knew there was no way he'd be able to do so. Even if he managed to find his house, the minute he crossed onto their land, his father would be notified. And Sevilin was too paranoid to be poisoned in some inn or tavern. "Even more clichéd to have the son stab the father, don't you think?" His eyes narrowed. His mother didn't enter into this. She was pregnant and in no position to be used as leverage. "Leave my mother out of it."

"you think you're more clever then you are. I offered this to you to spare injury, not cause it."
a slight chuckle.
"let me guess. your thinking there's no way I could poison him. there's no way I can get close enough. I don't have to get close. and it's not poison to kill anyway."
before raising an eyebrow.
"Your mother is part of this. you mother, obviously, sleeps with him. if she sleeps with him, then there are bound to be traces of him near her. a hair on clothing. maybe some other things around her."
pointing the dagger at him lightly, but in a manner that definately said he probably knew more uses for a dagger and more ways to wield it the Zykariel had years of life.
"I didn't lie. I withheld information from my companions, thus, they didn't know better. and I asked to use this blade because I can tell when and on what this blade is used."
before he moved quickly, shoving Zykariel againt the wall and holding the blade right up under his chin at his throat.
"Or, since blood doesn't lie, why don't I cut out the middle man and extract the magic in your bloodline from you. won't take much I imagine to learn how an Inthara gathers magical energy. wether external, or internal."
Cerrillia came from a corner, her eyes rather hard.
"That's enough, Gizdean. His fate is mine to decide, I brought him in. Not yours. and remember I have Cristanos' authority to speak with. Don't think for a second I won't have you cut down."
Gizdean looked at her, then back at Zykariel...and put the blade away, stepping back..before simply leaving him alone with the enchantress. Cerrillia watched him, and frowned. he was getting to be far to aggressive. like a wolf trapped in a cage. that could prove bad for them.
"I must apologize. the Ebon Mask isn't known for it's patience. You've done what we've asked of you, and you've not attempted to betray us."
Yet.
"However, I would like to insist that while we are here, that you be willing to provide us with information we might need. Or perhaps bring to us an alternate source of learning. and we would like to know about this 'rune magery' your father employs. we'd like to be able to study it for our own use. Neriak could benefit greatly by having a new form of magic on Norrath at it's disposal. Or even the threat of it."
