"It's true," Lavi nodded to Liv pointing out he had never had those kinds of feelings for her, and as she continued he imagined with a heavy heart that was also probably for the best. The scenario she wanted most to avoid was one he would most likely create in the end. Not that he thought that Sil was particularly looking forward to that. He remembered the conversation he'd had with Liv on the subject out in the grounds that day and although he had agreed to keeping her from straying from her resolution, he also wanted her to find happiness with someone again if she could. She seemed to remember the promise she made to herself, too, so it wasn't like she was going into anything recklessly, which would be a different story. As long as she still seemed to have Luci's best interests in mind. As Sil spoke about her own parents he watched her carefully. It wasn't a subject she really brought up often and he'd always figured it was because she didn't like to talk about them, so neither did he.
"And you're right that Luci's a bright girl... I wouldn't be surprised if she has an inkling already," Lavi added with a slight smile at how observant the little girl seemed to be, "Especially if you're spending a lot of time with him... I don't know if it's because maybe we're not as good at keeping it a secret as we think we are, but we don't seem to be able to fool Luci," he glanced at Sil, "though apparently it's because of the way I smile. So, if Sil's right about his goofy smiles, she might have already caught on to that. Yours, too." He gave her a look, cause even if she insisted it wasn't like that, she couldn't deny the smile on her face just from saying his name.

"Your smile is pretty goofy though," Sil offered with her own little cheeky, affectionate grin towards her ginger love. It was difficult not to smile when the butterflies started to flutter and warm feelings started to stir, finding that no matter the circumstances, being in love had a certain euphoric property to it. If it weren't for the pain involved, the world would be addicted to the feeling. It was simple little things, like knowing that she was the reason he smiled like that, that made even the painful parts worth it. She gently slid her hand down his arm and laced her fingers with his, both of her hands now occupied by two people she loved like family. "She hasn't said a word to me about it, so I think Luci just suspects you have a big, fat crush on me."
For Liv, she squeezed her hand back and smiled, pleased that her words had encouraged rather than upset. "I mean it, I'm bot just saying that. I was older than Luci, though. Around nine or ten. I don't know if that makes a difference. Luci is very, very clever though-- I'm sure your happiness would mean a lot to her, not even in the defense of Mishka... Just the liberating feeling of being able to move on does wonders." As she said that, Sil had to confine her mind, knowing that if it wandered she might not like the emotions stirred up by her own words. "Anyway, I think you know who I'm rooting for, and I can't help but enjoy the unfolding of a saucy love story with a very attractive doctor as a main character."

Liv pursed her lips at Lavi's words, knowing that she had in fact been flashing some pretty fond smiles thanks to Mishka, "You're absolutely right...I'm sure that she's noticed, especially with how she noticed yours. Goodness...," she sighed a little and shook her head, inwardly cursing her gene pool for a moment.
"It looks like I'll be having a conversation with her soon, then. Even if Mishka and I remain as nothing more than friends," she glanced at Sil as she talked about the liberating feeling, and wondered if they were thinking of the same thing for that one second of time. She didn't have long to linger on the thought, because the next words that left Sil's lips sent Liv into a scoff, "Saucy? Is that really what you think it would be like? Goodness, I really hope it won't be like some risque, controversial romance novel," she laughed and hugged her side a bit.
