We're pathetic. Yea, After posting that I Went downstairs and got ready to leave only to find that the car wouldn't come out of park, Turns out while my big a** was under the dash I accidentally pulled a wire out of the "Brake Switch" so I had to borrow my mom-in-laws car to get to work... luckily it looks like it'll only be 2 wires I need to splice to fix it... so :s yea.

My boyfriend has been under the car almost the whole summer holiday because he's building his race track car. It's nice that we don't need to buy expensive repair work to our everyday cars but still... his hobby some times bit too overboard. stressed Though, I keep reminding my self that working with cars is much better hobby than for example drinking lots of beer or going bars or clubs every day. *shrugs*
Today was my first day at work after my holiday. It was ok but I had hundreds of unread email. I deleted most of them because I get tons of unneeded but some times valuable mails.

my boyfriend's car, commonly known as 'sweetie', is on her last legs, i'm afraid. she's been to the workshop and back a dozen times and everytime one thing gets fixed, another goes, then that gets fixed, then the first thing goes again, then we pay to fix that and a new problem shows up. wash, rinse, and repeat. oh well. at least town is small and walking most places is not a big deal. it does mean i'm walking 2km to school and back everyday, since there's no buses, but some of my students walk 7km and back everyday, so... yeah. i've lost a ton of weight.

I find it amusing that a car is named sweetie. I know of one other person who named his car. It was the same type of deal - it was always on the brink of falling apart but he'd fix it time and time again. I guess if you name a car it makes it even harder to give up.

I guess if you name a car it makes it even harder to give up. even though he's had it for years, he decided we should name it when we got together. at first it was 'kanchi' which means 'little sister' in nepali, which is his first language. but it didn't stick, and now the whole town, it's a small town, refers to the car as sweetie. sweetie was his nickname for me too, at first, but now he's pretty much settled on 'honey babe', which sounds more like 'honey babb' in his accent, which i find adorable.

I made some rasberry&wineberry jam from those. I've been in the raspberry bushes the whole week and those I've just put into the freezer as whole berries. I'm thinking of going out there again and I think today I'll make some jam that we call roughly translated as "queen of jams" but I don't know if you have some name for it. Anyways, it has blueberries, rasberries and strawberries in it and it's really delicious! 4laugh

Brrr, I had a chilling moment today in the rasberry bushes even though it's steaming hot outside. I was just about to bend over to grab some tasty berries when I realized that right in front of me and in the place where my hand was going was a viper (adder or what ever it's proper name is). The only poisonous snake there is in Finland. eek
Even though it's not that dangerous to adults, still it was bit unnerving to see it right there. sweatdrop Luckily vipers are timid snakes so when I stomped my feet on the ground it quickly went another direction and I went to the opposite way. *shudder* Anyhow, I'm off to make that jam now and I might make some raspberry pancakes for my movie evening today. 4laugh
