The pharaoh and Seto spoke in hushed tones before Atem whistled, motioning for Isis to follow as they set off. Bakura glared after him and didn't turn away until they were out of sight. "Really? I must have missed that, damn the luck. That girl he had was a bit-- OW!!" He suddenly jumped, holding his cut hand with his other and staring at it in shock.

Bakura's jump made rei jump "What?Whats wrong?!" she asked.

Bakura recoiled from whatever it was, holding his hand tightly. "It... it hurts. It's burning!" He exclaimed, closing his eyes tightly. The burning sensation was slowly moving up his arm. "Th... the pharaoh must've poisoned the b-blade or something..."

"If he posioned the blade he would have posioned himself.." She then thought when the pharoh whiped of the blade with thecloth..itcould have been posioned. She quickly pulled bakura into the hut.She riped the cloth off and started rincing out the wound with water.

"Nngh..." Bakura had to clench his teeth together to stop himself from crying out. The pain had risen up his arm, and he doubted that mere water could help him. "Go get Akila. Sh-she knows about some medicines..."

The villagers had all gotten up since the pharaoh left and were now speaking in hushed tones with one another, the rumors probably flying like wild just about now. Akila was snapping at a fat man, looking rather angry, probably about something he had said.

Rei finding her grasped her arm "Talk later run now" she said pulling akila back twards the hut.

By the time they reached the hut Bakura was sitting cross-legged on the ground, his eyes staring blankly ahead. He looked up when they entered. "I know you're probably tired of me, but I'm sure you'll want to hear this." Seto said. "The pharaoh has, as you've probably guessed, used a poison on the blade he had offered Bakura. The poison will spread quickly though his body, rather painfully, and then leave him in a coma-like state for what could be a month or two, days, or even a few hours unless given the correct antidote in time. It's not any fun to just kill off someone early, so we will leave his life in your hands, and not tell you what poison it is or what the cure is. Good luck."

Seto sneered at Kira, then left Bakura. The thief let out a muffled cry as he fell to the side, growing too weak to be able to sit up on his own. Akila quickly bent down and tried to determine what it was, asking Bakura questions and checking his eyes and pulse.

Rei hurried over but staid enough away to not get in the way. Her eyes were filled with worry.

"There... there isn't anything I can do..." Akila said, shaking her head and letting Bakura's wrist drop onto the ground. The thief's eyes were starting to become dulled as he slowly lost his senses. Pain filled the blue depths, as most of his body burned with the poison. She had tears filled in her eyes. "Bakura... can you still hear me?" Bakura struggled for a moment, then nodded his head briefly. She explained to him what Seto had said, and he closed his eyes. "But I can't tell what it is. There might be a chance of going to the palace and trying to make a deal or something with the pharaoh to get the antidote, but that's about all..." She turned towards Rei. "Do you want to talk with him for a little bit?"

Rei's had tears filling her eyes. She nodded and walked over to bakura. She then looke to akila "can we be alone for a moment?" she asked.Once she left she knelt beside bakura the tears streaming down her eyes. "Kura...Listen....Im going to go the the palace and try to get the antidote..." she gently cuped his face in her hands "I-If I...Dont come back..." she bent down and gently kissed him on the lips "I love you bakura..I always have and always will..Nothing will ever change that and I will do anything for you..." she kissed him once more before getting up and heading out of the hut.

Bakura had heard Rei just faintly as his thoughts and feelings escaped. He felt her warm touch before he the rest of him slipped away and he fell into the coma state Seto had described.
