"Yes Sensei." Shinzu said as he changed he stance slightly. He also decided to empty his pockets to help with his balance. As he took all the items out of his pockets he also pulled out his father's old headband. Bloodstains and all Shinzu always kept it with him. He reverently set it on top of the rest of his items before returning to his stance. The shuriken hit the second ring but was oh so close to hitting the third ring.

Throw Shuriken
10 +3 + 1 = 14
6/10 14 points
1-4: outside the rings. {0 points}
5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

Shinzu focused hard for the next one. He knew he didn't have many shuriken left so he had to make these last four count. He prepared himself mentally and got himself into his stance. He threw his shuriken and once again he hit the third ring.

Throw Shuriken
16 + 1 = 17
7/10 17 points
1-4: outside the rings. {0 points}
5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

"Alright another good one." Shinzu said to himself as he prepared to throw the next shuriken. He practically stared the target this time as he played out what was going to happen in his mind. Then he quickly pulled out his shuriken and threw it. It hit the edge of the second ring. "That could've worked better."

Throw Shuriken
10 + 1 = 11
8/10 19 points

Andou smirked, this kid was amusing. He worked with the intensity of his former students, but at the same time, he always injected a few comments to himself about how he was doing. If Andou were a woman he would have admitted it was endearing. At any case he wasn't so he just passed it off as a weird quirk that was good-funny.

"Yes, it could have,"
Andou smirked. "By the time you graduate, I want you hitting bullseyes on every hit." Well, to be honest, not many of his students could, even the ones that were taking the exams. This ability was usually reserved for the genius and the weapons specialists. But it wasn't bad to instil a sense of high expectation within his students eh?

Andou's gaze roamed over to Shinzu's belongings in the pile where Shinzu had put them. There was a headband there, marked with the Kirigakure sign, and Andou was beginning to have his suspicions. The bloodstains really weren't helping. But at the same time, he asked, "Whose headband is that?"

(OOC: I messed up so there's no need to count the 9.)

Before Andou asked about the headband Shinzu was already preparing to throw the next shuriken. He focused and once again got himself ready. Then he quickly grabbed a shuriken and threw it at the target. It wasn't a halfbad throw in that it hit the middle of the second ring.

Throw Shuriken
12 + 1 = 13
9/10 21 points
1-4: outside the rings. {0 points}
5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

Shinzu knew he could do better so he closed his eyes. He took a deep breath to control his breathing for the next throw. He eyed the target and imagined where the shuriken would hit. It hit in hte middle of the third ring. "I hoped that one would be a bullseye. Oh well."

Throw Shuriken
16 + 1 = 17
10/10 24 points
1-4: outside the rings. {0 points}
5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

Then he heard the Teacher's question. "It was my Father's, he died during Mistress's invasion two years ago. One of his teammates was able to retrieve his headband and he gave it to me and told me not to let anything happen to it. That's when I decided to become a shinobi."

Mokujin had been impressed by his students sor far, so the fact that Masanori had had some trouble with the henge wasn't that dramatic. Every ninja had his specialty, this was simply not going to be his. Hiru on the other hand had put on quite a display of his ninjutsu talents. Mokujin had once hoped special ops wouldn't take notice of his abilities so the shark boy wouldn't be yanked to their secret facilities even he ignored the location of. However, should they get a hold of these test results there would most likely be no helping it. Mokujin understood Shin for taking his time before giving the henge a shot but he couldn't wait in the classroom forever for him to gather his courage.

"Alright, very good kids. Next step will be de kawarimi and nawanuke exams. We'll move to the gym for these since we'll need more room.", he explained the students.

Noticing Battosai running towards the academy in the distance, Mokujin sighed as he scribbled a note intended for the tardy candidate. It briefly explained what the students had done so far and where they were heading. With the number of candidates that had shown up for the exam, he wasn't going to be picky based on punctuality... He left the note on the door and headed downstairs.

Once everyone was close he explained the next exercise. "Ok this part will be simple and you'll only have to succeed once. I'll launch a controlled attack, use kawarimi to evade it. You'll get more points if you can get in a strategic position after de replacement. You get two shots at it, no more."

Kawarimi exam
Mokujin will launch a controlled attack at the student. The student must in turn dodge the technique with his kawarimi and reveal what his replacement object is. That last part is without importance but logs are so last decade…
d20 + dodge bonus + chakra control
DC:

DC for Object: 10

Their rotation came full circle once more and it was now Shin's turn to take a try at the Henge Test. He started off with a mundane object like the rest of his classmates but he decided to spice it up a little bit. Instead of doing something boring like a chair or everyday like a kunai, Shin decided to think a little outside the box.

He took a little time to ponder the situation but when he finally made his choice, a little half-smile/ half-smirk came to his lips. He kept his small audience in suspense as he simply began performing the handsigns and molding his chakra, without making it clear just what he was going to imitate, he'd let it come as a surprise.

He concentrated for a brief moment as he began to distribute chakra around his form, shaping and changing it into something newish. His object of choice wasn't exactly "new" per say but unlike a Kunai or a chair, it wasn't something you say everyday. His choice, the object he chose to transform into was one of the many strange pads hanging from the ceiling. One of those strange objects that dangled above their heads seemingly without purpose.

Upon completing that form. He simply moved onto the next, a small animal. This was a no brainer, he just picked one of the many little buggers that hide in the cracks in the wall. And they he waited for one of those bad boys to simply show up. Then only then would he get started on Henge number two.

Henge number two and Henge number three fell before the might of Shin's chakra control like dominoes. First he waited for one of those hermit crabs to show himself and then he performed a stunning transformation that had all the little critters running for the hills. A giant crab tended to do that to rodents, and some light hearted people as well. He kept the form for a few good moments before shifting straight to the next one.

He simply released one technique and was then immediately starting on his next henge. The next animal he henge into was a straight up badass. It was just simply one of the most dangerous animal in the sea or out of it, as this bad boy at times might snatch its prey off of the land. That was just how fearless of a creature, the killer whale was. Shin would let the awesome black and white Rorschach patterns of the orca stun his audience before releasing that form as well.

Shin just kept on rolling, feeling real good about how he'd been doing so far. So for his next henge, he decided to mix up a bit more. He chose the best subject at hand, considering that Hiru had already done Andou already, and started to form his hand seals and mold his chakra. As before, the release of chakra cause an upset of dust and smoke that obscured his form from view. But unlike before, when the smoke cleared about as abruptly as it arrived, there was not clapping, cheering or looks of approval, only disgust. For where Shin used to be there was just a really bad mess of pink flesh distorted into an odd shape reminiscent of modern art.

Failure's tended to happen sometimes, most often when people grew very cocky. It had happened to Shin a thousand times but he never seemed to learn his lesson, for good. He'd always dust himself off after his progress got to his head right before an epic failure, but the lesson would be forgotten by the time the next exercise came around. It was quite sad. So this time around Shin made a promise with himself to try and work on his fatal flow, and shrink his ego a little bit.

It was then and only then, when he'd cleared his head and set a goal did Shin retry his last henge. And boy was it a beauty. If you have to ask just who it was that the mini-swordsmen ended up henging....you obviously weren't paying close enough attention. Because it was.....it was...indescribable.

"It was close," Andou conceded. He normally wasn't this nice to students, but it was a one on one session, and even Andou could feel the semi awkwardness coming from the lesson. Shinzu had no one to talk to so all he could do was work. Well, that was a good thing, Andou supposed.

"I'm sorry," Andou said sombrely as Shinzu told him about his father. Andou could relate - what remained of his family had all perished during Mistress' invasion as well. "What was his name?" Was that what happened to Akara-sempai? Well, that was kind of a pointless question since Andou couldn't remember Akara's first name, but Andou felt like he had to ask.

"If you're up to it, you can repeat with kunai. As you said earlier, throwing kunai is different from throwing shuriken after all," Andou said with a shrug. "Personally I can understand if you find this tedious especially without classmates. It's fine if you take a short break. Today's a freestyle lesson so we can take breaks anytime. Go get some ramen if you want."

"His name was Umi, Umi Akara." Shenzu answered. "He actually died protecting my mother, she's a former ninja, she left the shinobi order to take care of me." Shinzu said emtionally he truely missed having his fun loving father around.

He was about to say he wasn't that hungry and wanted to move onto kunai when his stomach growled loudgly. "Maybe ramen is a good idea Andou Sensei but I don't have any money could you maybe pay for me? Just this once I promise I'll pay you back."

"I see.." Andou replied with a nod. That name did ring a bell in his distant memory, but he didn't dwell on it too much. Live in the present after all. Andou felt a bit for the surviving widow as well. At least his parents had died together. He also thought that she'd made a good choice, but hey, it would be a bit too tactless even for Andou to say that to a prospective ninja wouldn't it?

Smirking again at Shinzu's next words, Andou shook his head. "It's all right. It's on me. I'm a bit hungry too, anyway. Come on then." Andou stood up, waiting for Shinzu to do likewise. Then they'd both head to the ramen shop.

"Yay free Ramen time!" Shinzu said as he practiclly jumped up to follow Andou to the ramen stall. He was glad that Andou would pay for him he really didn't have any money and his mother refused to make him any lunch, her way of protesting him becoming a ninja. He figured that'd only last till next week she'd probaly find a way to deal with it by then.

Since being the one who went up first to the stage, the other two times. He might as well do it this time as well. He slowly rose from his chair and moved over to his sensei who already stood prepared to punch Masanori. He lingered a moment at the Mokujin-sensei, just looking into his eyes, before signalating him that Masanori was ready to be attacked. The twelve year old boy's hands hanged by each of his side, but was still tense - ready to execute the tora seal.
It didn't take long for Mokujin to launch his punch. It came directly towards his chest, it hit. Anyone could hear it had hit but a cloud of smoke covered the view. Tough a tablestool went flying OUT of the little smoke cloud and got launched into a group of chairs and tables that stood directly behind the boy, when he was originally standing infront of his teacher. The boy had appeared maybe a feet to the right to where he was had been. It was a horrible attempt at the jutsu but he avoided the attack. He made a quick bow to then return to his seat with sweatdrops running down his forehead.

When Mokujin was done explaining the exercise, Hiru was very confident he could do fairly well. He had been in a combat situation before and if his sensei did indeed hold his attack back, he should be able to escape it pretty easily. He watched Masanori go first. When he saw the young blonde boy get knocked hard in the chest, Hiru's heart skipped a beat, convinced his teacher had just killed a student. He was deeply relieved to see his partner turn into a stool and reappear a few yards right. Still in the opponents sight and melee range but still, not bleeding on the ground.

Hiru then decided to go next. He walked up to the front of the gym. For a few moments he stood there, in an eye lock with the living puppet. Pretty soon, he saw Mokujin launch a fairly slow attack, clearly held back, aimed right at his nose. As the sensei landed his punch, you could see Hiru’s head snapping backwards, with his face nearly deforming from the attack’s strength. However, a second later, Hiru’s falling body vanished in a cloud of smoke, transforming into mild syrup, too diluted to be sticky*. Simultaneously, the real Hiru appeared close behind Mokujin, a kunai pointed at his lower back with a huge grin on his face.

This technique is a work in progress by Hiru that will have to be approved before it is given full effect, it was used only for RP purposes and in no way had any effects on the attacker.
