Eventually, the instructor wound down the lesson, ending with a brief explanation of just how the final exam would be carried out. The entire system had been drastically changed within the past several years, after several ninja who'd been put through the rigors of the original method finally complained of what had gone on, and rather vocally at that. They had complained that having to do the exam in front of others had put undue pressure on them before they were ready. While the Academy staff had tried to say that that was part of the examination's function, that that pressure was a vital part of it, they had finally been forced to give way. So in recent years, students had been given the opportunity to do their exams in the group, or if they would prefer, to do it in a seperate room, with only an instructor to grade them. With the condition that they would be graded that much more strictly, with all of their instructor's focus falling directly on them. Suffice to say, there were very few who wished to try this new option. Only a handful got up and marched out of the room, while the rest, including the young faux-Aburame, remained put. She had no problem with nerves or embarassment, she didn't have nearly enough individuality to fear such things. Instead, it was a calculated choice. By staying in the main room for her own examination, she could monitor several of the other potentials, see a portion of their skill, and catalogue it for future extrapolation for if they were ever set against one another. So it was, that once the last private examinee left the room, the rest were told to get to their feet, and prepare to begin the examination immediately. They all did so, and responded just as quickly when the instructor ordered them to perform the first technique. They did, some a little faster, some a little slower. Several only barely passed, and one was told they had failed. They took it hard, storming out of the room. Then it was on to the next technique. The students were beginning to get used to actually doing the techniques, and as a whole, did much better this time. No one failed, although several came close. Then it was time for the third technique. This one was a bit harder, the second hurdle they would have to overcome. Most of them did, but two were failed, leaving only ten. Then the fourth technique, the end result of which was another two being flunked. Finally, it was time for the fifth technique. Before beginning it, the instructor cleared up the mess from the last one, putting things back to normal with a brief flurry of handsigns. Then it was time to begin. That small break proved beneficial, for several of the students were already running a bit low on chakra, and that brief moment of rest allowed them to replenish a tiny portion of their spent energy. Then it was time to begin the final technique. This was the final hurdle, the last challenge to any who wished to be called Genin. When the metaphorical smoke cleared, the final result was five had passed the final technique, and were Genin. The young false Aburame was one of those. She went through the motions as the instructor complimented her and the others who'd passed, she was already making plans for her next action. She'd leave the Academy, and go to other villages, gain a perspective on all of the ninja and their various strengths and weaknesses, find the right target to make a base of operations. It would be a rather long task, but she, like all of her kind, was patient when she needed to be.

Mancer had finally gotten ruka to teach him the bunshin no hand signs so that he could aquire a useful skill that could aid him as a offensive or defensive maneuver so he began his training simply trying to create two clones. He performed the handsigns perfectly and quite fast but there was only one puff of smoke and that puff of smoke drifted off to reveal what looked like his mangled corpse but pale in all colors clothing and hair.

"You can do better but dont worry things could be worse off atleast you managed to get anything" Iruka said to Mancer after eyeing the clone for a moment "Alright try again."

"I planed on it im not giving up untill i learn this technique." Mancer said preparing to try again.

Bunshin No:1/3

Mancer attempted the jutsu one more time speeding through the hand signs faster then he had just a moment ago. Within this attempt two puffs of smoke appeared but to his dismay they were both slightly mangled though not pale which made it more the gruesome in some eyes but Mancer just stared and luaghed at the fact that he was close and wouldnt need that many more trys to accomplish what he wanted to do.

"your very close." Iruka said to Mancer yet again almost as if he seen the same thing before. "Dont give up try it again." He said after i had paused for a few moments.

"like i said Iruka-sensai i will not give up untill i have accomplished the jutsu." Mancer said yet again.

Preparing for another attempt at the Bunshin jutsu he cracks his fingers to loosten them up a bit and performs the handsigns at lightning fast speeds and two puffs of smoke appear that disapate to reveal two identical Mancer clones they all did the nice guy pose xd and said in unison "I told you i could do it Iruka-sensai.

"Well ill be you really did get it quick didnt you Kagemancer." Iruka said with a grin.

"I told you iruka i wouldnt give up no matter how long it took me...which wasnt really that long was it" Mancer said proud of himself as the other clones vanished

"Alright Iruka-sensai would you help me with one or two more skills?" Mancer asked Iruka after all the smoke had dissapated "I would really like to learn the water walk jutsu."

"I suppose i have some time i could help you out with it." Iruka said pretending to think if he had the time or not but really he didnt mind teaching a student a new jutsu if they were going to put it to good use.

"Alright then lets head to the stream to practice this skill." Mancer said walking out to the stream with iruka almost directly behind him.

Water Walk jutsu 1/6

"Alright sensai im ready to try out this new technique" Mancer said preparing to focus his chakra so he could walk ontop of the water with only his feet.

"Alright Kagemancer go ahead and give it a shot but remember to keep careful attention to your chakra supply id hate to have to rescue you from drowning." Iruka said whatching Mancer focus his chakra.

Focusing his chakra he walked out onto the water a few steps and he turned and was about to say that he thought he had it but he sank into the water about an inch then fell in completly and came up spitting water out of his mouth he paddled over to the shore and prepared to try it again.

He focused his chakra to the soles of his feet and walked out onto the water another time going out a small bit further and he stood there for a few minutes before he sank an inch and fell through the water again. He pulled himself up onto the bank and stood up preparing to try the jutsu again

"why dont you try standing on the water first before you try moving around it." Iruka suggested to Mancer after whatching him try and walk acrossed the water.

"Thanks sensai i think ill try that out." Mancer said taking a single step out onto the water and practicing just standing on it using conscouse control over his chakra

"Alright sensai Ive got it." Mancer said taking a momentary chance of not focusing on the chakra and he slid in a inch and he said, "OH come on." for he thought he was going to fall through but he managed to stay at just an inch into the water.

"There ya go Kagemancer you got it finnaly... well mostly" Iruka said to Mancer. "Now try takin a step forward on the water so you move i see you can stand but im not so sure that you can move."

Lokey took the step and fell into the water. "Dangit. ive almost got it so lets try it again." Mancer said climbing up to the bank and preparing to walk on the water again

focusing chakra to the soles of his feet he attemptecd to walk out onto the water he tried it slowly and managed luckily to sink only an inch into the water he walked all over the water just to make sure but he was still an inch into the water the entire time.

"Try focusing a little more chakra into your feet." Iruka suggested to Mancer not totally sure that he could do it considering all the jutsu he had done all ready.

"alright sensai." Mancer said preparing to put more chakra into his feet though he was starting to show little signs of fatigue from the massive chakra he has exponged.

Focusing more chakra into his feet he rose slowly out of the water to stand on it as if it was land. "I DID IT SENSAI!!" Mancer said inthusastically to Iruka. he started jumping around on the top of water happy as could be.

"Is that all you need me for Kagemancer? i actually do have other things i need to do?" Iruka said to Mancer

"Just one more thing sensai" Mancer said to Iruka as he walked back to land. "Do you know were i can find really tall trees so i can work on my tree climbing jutsu??"

"Yes actually good to know your so enthusiastic about your trainin." Iruka said slightly impressed. "You just gotta head that way for a bit its not very far youll see the tree in no time." Iruka said pointing notherwest and heading off back to the academy

"Ok thank you sensai" Mancer said heading off towrds the tall trees.

Water walking jutsu 6/6 Completed

walking up to the tallest tree in the area Mancer pulled out a kunai to mark his spot on the tree was he climbed up. He focused chakra to his soles in much the same way as he had in the water walking jutsu but this time his goal was to stick to the tree instead of floating on the water so it was a change for Mancer. He finished channeling chakra and then he tried to climb the tree he got one foot on the tree and was bringing the other foot up when he fell off and hit his head. He stood back up rubbed his head and prepared to try again after a brief rest to eat some food he had brought along becouse he was starting to get hungry he figured he should eat to keep his strength up so he could excel.

Mancer ran at the tree after he finished eating and got a couple of feet up the tree marked with his kunai and jumped off to land on his feet. "Im making good progrees." Mancer said to himself becouse of the fact there was no one around he found it easier to train becouse he wasnt worried about riticuale or anything from anyone. "Alright now then lets see if i can get half way up the tree this time."

Mancer ran up the tree and got a few feet more then he had the last time and marked it off with his kunai and jumped off to land neatly on the ground "... alright whos out there?" Mancer said hearing someone's footsteps so he readyed his Katana blade and prepared to fight

"Dont worry Mancer its just me." Iruka said stepping up to him. "I thought i should supervise your training... and put away your katana Mancer you couldnt hurt me with it but it might just get in the way of your training"

"Thanks Iruka-sensei and your probably right" Mancer said to iruka putting his blade away before turning back to the tree to continue his practice happy to have someone else around so he wouldnt talk to himself.

Mancer started up the tree and got a few feet higher then he had before iruka showed up and marked with his kunai as he jumped off to land neatly on his feet he looked to iruka and asked, "would you care to give me a hint?"

"Block out everything else and concentrate on climbing up the tree." Iruka said, "Kinda obvious though isnt it Mancer."

"Ya now that i think of it it is isnt it." Mancer said before focusing on the tree and blocking out every other bit of distraction Mancer managed to run halfway up to the top of the tree and he marked it with his kunai and jumped off to land neatly on the ground.

Mancer took another run at the tree almost making it to the top but missing by almost 4 or 5 feet but he couldnt quite make it so he marked it with his kunai and jumped off to land neatly on the ground "dangit i almost made it." Mancer said before punching the ground angrily.

"You almost made it try again and if you pass ill train you in the use of a new jutsu." Iruka said to Mancer knowing that with his eagerness to learn that would cause him to excel to great highets

"Alright Iruka sensei ill make it this time." Mancer said as he turned to the tree and prepared for his finnal try.

Mancer turned to the tree a final time and took a running start and began his climb to the top of the tree and almost in a few moments he had climbed to the top of the tree and stuck his kunai there and walked his way down.

"very good Kagemancer you did it." Iruka said, "Now what technique would you like to learn now?"

"Id like to learn the art of substitution." Lokey said to Iruka not believeing that he was about to be tought his third technique of the fourth technique of the day

"Alright well begin right here becouse were already here." Iruka said squaring his feet and eyeing the surrounding area as if evaluating it.

"Alright Iruka sensai im ready tell me the handsign plz." Mancer said to iruka impatiently becouse of the fact that he really wanted to become the best ninja out there

"Alright this one is simple here it is." Iruka said showing Mancer the handsign. "Alright ima throw rocks at you for now and i want you to use the substitution jutsu to avoid being hit with the rocks ok?"

"Ok iruka-sensai." Mancer said getting ready to make the handsign, "Lets do this so i can become the worlds greatest ninja."

Iruka sensai threw a rock at Mancer in a attempt to hit him in the side of the head to teach him to try harder if he messes up.

Mancer made the handsign and there was a puff of smoke and were Mancer was is now still Mancer and he is hit with the rock in the side of the head. "Oof" Mancer said getting hit with the rock. "That hurt... alright iruka sensai lets try this again."

"if you insist Kagemancer." Iruka replied.

Iruka threw another rock at Mancer

Mancer performed the handsign and there was another puff of smoke and standing were Mancer was is... still Mancer so he gets hit with the rock in the temple again slightly dazing him becouse of the force of the impact even though iruka threw it as soft as he could it was a rock so it still hurt.

"Wanna try that again??" Iruka asked not totally sure Mancer had enough chakra left to complete even this jutsu even if he has a large amount of it.

"yes alright lets try this again with the rock then if ive got it or not we will try it with a kunai." Mancer said with a look on his face that expressed pure determination.

Iruka picks up a rock noticing the look on Mancer face he knew that nothing would stop him or make him change his mind.

Iruka through the rock aiming again at Mancer's temple in a effor he hoped to cause a burst in chakra output... but it didnt.

Mancer performs the handsign and a puff of smoke appears and were Mancer was now is still Mancer so he gets hit with the rock in his temple on the left side of his head

"Are you sure you wanna try a kunai next?" Iruka asked Mancer in a tone that said he wasnt quite sure it should be done

"Yes Iruka-sensie and aim for my head please." Mancer said in a confident tone that said he was going to do it wether he was ready or not.

"as long as your sure." Iruka said pulling out a kunai and lining up his target so he will hit Mancer square in the middle of the head so that if he failed Mancer would feel no pain.

Iruka threw the kunai at Mancer's head

Mancer performed the handsigns and then a puff of smoke emerged around him as the kunai entered it it cleared to reveil a straw dummy with a wink face on it with a kunai in its forhead and Mancer walked down a tree trunk from up in the branches. "I guess i did it sensai." Mancer said scratching the back of his head

"I guess you did dint you..." Iruka said with a grin." i guess your probly ready to graduate from the academy right??"

"Not totally first i need to learn the Henge no jutsu so i have mastered all of the academy techniques." Mancer said to iruka

"Alright that will be the last thing i teach you ok??" Iruka said to Mancer

"alright sensai lets do it." Mancer said to iruka getting ready

Substitution jutsu: 4/4


"alrighty then sensai first thing ill need is clones so i can do this easier." Mancer said making the handsigns for the clone's "BUNSHIN NO JUTSU!!!" with two puffs of smoke Mancer created two clones of himself and instructed one on what it was supposed to do after iruka showed them the hand signs.

"Alright i guess ill show you how to do this." Iruka said. He performed the jutsu and turned into a replica of Mancer but he made the hand signs slow and said the names so that Mancer knew what they were. he immeadiately changed back.

"alright KageMancer two you know what to do." Mancer said to his clone and his clone performed the hand signs and made what looked like a cross between Mancer and Iruka about 50 50 and then turned back and disapeared in a puff of smoke.

"Your about halfway there try again." Iruka said as the clone smoke dispersed.

"Yes sensai." Mancer said instructing his second clone on what to do for this clone jutsu and the clone performed the jutsu to the sign and in the puff of smoke for the transformation emerged the clone that looked mostly like iruka but was not quite there and looked about 25 percent more Mancer becouse of the hieght only it was like a minature iruka. Clone clone changed back and disapeared

"That was pretty good Mancer try it one more time and i think youll get it." Iruka said proudly.

"Yes sensai." Mancer said focusing on getting the correct hieght since he alrdy had the rest down

Focusing on the hieght becouse he had pretty much everything else down Mancer performed the Henge no jutsu handsigns to the sign and in the cloud of smoke that appeared a perfect copy of iruka sensei

"Good job Kagemancer thats all I can teach you you are officially a genin good luck out there in the life of...oh and change back." Iruka said to Mancer almost as an afterthought

changing back Mancer waved goodbye and headed to practice on other jutsu so he figured to learn his jutsus he should first of all check out konoha (village hidden in the leaf for those of you who dont know) and learn some good techniques there so he headed for the docks to begin his journey around the world to learn jutsu of varrying kinds.

Hisame was walking down the street in his village, when he heard a lot of noise and commotion around the corner. He ran to see what was going on. Hisame saw a small stage in the middle of the road. A short man in a little suit was yelling for people to gather round. He yelled "Alright! step right up and test your luck! Only one, I repeat; one of these three b-e-a-utiful women are actually a woman! Will you be lucky enough to kiss a sexy maiden, or will you be sent off crying! Only five dollars to try!" Hisame smirked. These things were always rigged. He watched a man he recognized from his street try his luck.

The three blondes in pink tube tops were waiting, trying to look as good looking as possible. The man picked the one in the middle. The girl smiled like he had won, so the man leaned in for a kiss. Just when their lips had met, there was a puff of smoke, and the man was standing there kissing one of two obese men. The contestant yelled in anger and stormed off. The crowd laughed at him as he turned the corner. After the show, when everyone had cleared off, Hisame kept watching the three "women". When the four people thought they were alone, there was three puffs of smoke and three unshaven, un-bathed, looking men stood there.

Hisame smirked, "They're always rigged." The boy walked up to the four men and sais "Hey, teach me that technique." One of the scruffy men looked at him and laughed in a very deep voice. "Why should we do that, kid? Scram." Hisame smirked at such a clichéd word for someone like him; "scram". "Either you teach me that technique, or everyone finds out about how fake you guys are tomorrow." The short "ring-leader" spoke up. "Alright kid, but you gotta promise to keep your mouth shut." The short man, "Mr. Kimura" as he called himself, taught Hisame the basics of Henge no Jutsu. Before long, the boy had perfected it. "Thanks Mr. Kimura!"

As sensei walked in Backumaru hurried to finish the cookies he decided to have for breakfast. domokun Iruka sensei quickly turned as Backumaru attempted Bushin no Jutsu to hide himself under his desk and finish his last couple cookies. xd Backu smiled believing that he had gottn away with eating in clas but his happiness soon faded when the sound of his clone dissappearing came from over head. He looked up to see Iruka sensei shaking his head. gonk He knew what was coming.....2000 push-ups again."Everyday i catch you Backumaru your gonna be strong by the time you graduate! lol "stated Iruka sensei while watching Backu complete his set.

[Bunshin no Jutsu: 1/3]

After Backumaru finished his set Iruka sensei, having left, returned to instuct him. "Now Backumaru, since you like the clone jutsu so much lets see it again. OK begin." Backumaru focused and *boom* a clone appeared and Bacumaru was gone??!!
"Backumaru!! Yelled Iruka sensei looking around!" stressed
"Lol, Iruka sensei really thinks i was gonna stay...yeah right!" states Backu heading home. lol

Five years earlier......

Hotaru woke up as usual brushing off the molted insect shells from his bed. It was typical for his destruction bugs to come out at night and molt their old shells before crawling back inside Hotaru. As a thirteen year old boy, this had become a usual ritual. By this point he did it automatically out of habit. He yawned, running his hand through his hair as more bug shells fell out from his scalp. He lazily walked to his bathroom as he inspected himself in the mirror. As he did he noticed a few bugs crawling back into his shirt. He suddenly felt a sneeze coming on.

"Ahh...Ahhh....Aaahhhh-Chooooooo!" Out of his nose shot a cloud of bugs buzzing angrily in front of Hotaru. As the cloud of bugs floated in front of him, Hotaru simply tilted his head and said "Well If you don't want that happening, quite crawling around in my nose. That tickles" The cloud of destruction dispersed as it swarmed around and disappeared under his clothes. He came out of the bathroom and went back into his room. He put on his clothes as he glanced at the clock. He suddenly stopped dead in his tracks as his gaze met the clock.

"Damn it...I'm late!" He began running out of his house dashing from street corner to street corner. Suddenly a fly flew past Hotaru's face. Hotaru stopped and asked it for directions. It seemed he had gotten lost. The fly buzzed directions into his ear. Hotaru nodded and thanked the fly as he darted in another direction. He ran through the streets until he reached the academy. He ran up the stairs until he reached the classroom. Hotaru stopped in front of the door to catch his breath and regain his composure. He stepped into the classroom where he was met by many stares.
