As for anti-tank weapons, you can get lucky with their normal weapons on occassion. 3nodding They are strength 5 weapons and many tanks have 10 and 11 armor somewhere on the tank, most of the time in the back and sometimes on the sides. Just get around the tank with a devilfish and fire away and pray for high rolls. xd

Oh yes, just entirely rely on luck in order to win.
Excellent strategy, Commander Puretide.

Your condescision is unnecessary. This whole game has an element of luck to it. Also given that if you're rapidfiring a tank or hitting it with Stealth Suits, You'll probably hit with more than 3 shots. Statistically, 12 Firewarriors will hit 12 times and get 2 glances and 2 pens on AV10. Six Stealth Suits will get 9 hits and 3 glances or pens. On AV11, the Fire Warriors get 2 glances and the Stealths 1.

Looking at it from a pure statistics point of view, luck aside, it's not a terrible idea, especially if said units have nothing else to shoot at, or killing the tank is important.

Some humility or thought before posting would be prudent and much welcomed.

My plan was actually semi-serious. neutral

IMO cheeper and better to get a broadside for ani tank shooting.

but then again, fire warriors will have more wounds, and are better crowd control.

Hmm yeah, Broadsides have way more anti vehicle power.
Plus, they are pretty tough.

The point is not that Fire Warriors are good anti-tank. It's that they have no squad anti-tank because they can down light vehicles in a pinch. Of course Broadsides are better at downing tanks, they're a dedicated anti-vehicle unit.

I thought you can only take one save.

Yes, but with the addition of an invulnerable save they can still take some kind of save if they happen to get slapped with a lascannon, heavy gauss cannon, power weapon or something similar that denies thier armor. That's the point of invulns.

The Sky Rail? Well, The Rail Gun is certainly awesome, but the Sky Ray I do not know. I think that hitting targets with powerful missles everywhere and anywhere is a pretty sweet ability though.
