Here's a rare treat for ya, It's known as the Curious Case of Sidd Finch

Back in 1985, George Plimpton pulled off 1 of all-time great April Fool's hoaxes, pennin' "The Curious Case of Sidd Finch" in April 1 issue of SI. Accordin' to Plimpton, Finch was a mysterious rookie in trainin' with New York Mets. An eccentric character who only wore 1 shoe while pitchin'---a ratty hiker's boat---Finch allegedly threw ball 168 mph. Despite ridiculousness of piece, many SI readers actually believed Finch existed. SI finally announced it was a hoax on April 15. Here are pictures that accompanied original SI story, as well as some that were never published.
