So I found my dream clarinet, a Buffet Festival Greenline. I even got to play it. What makes it so cool is that it has an alternate Eb key on the left side, and holy Jenova that thing is useful. 3nodding

There's a setback, though...it's crazy expensive. gonk *begins saving up pennies* emo

omgsh!!!! that's, like, everyone's dream clarinet! eek
*starts to search for pennies*
kacha...sounds amazing. 3nodding

LOL.
I tried out the Tosca, too, but I couldn't figure out what the extra key on the right side was supposed to be for. (It was like the extra key on a bass/contra clarinet...) It also didn't really get that magic spark going on, like "OMG this clarinet and I cannot be separated! scream "

Then there was the rosewood...*drool* I'm not even going to try to save up for that one, though gonk And it's not really a clarinet that fits my playing style. But it was very pretty 3nodding And it was a dream to play heart

Hullo, all. ^^ I'm a new member of this online clarinet section, and I've been playing since 3rd grade, which makes this my eighth year. ^^ And I'm going to be section leader next marching season. ^^ And I'm a very happy person unless you say something I'm extremely averse to. Or if I'm just in a bad mood. You know how that goes. ^^

OMG I have great news!

One of my mother's friends, Nicole, who played clarinet in band x years ago, is sponsoring a girl in middle school so that she can learn how to play clarinet. Her family's not that fortunate, and she really wants to learn to play, so Nicole is helping her out by getting the clarinet and picking up expenses, etc.

And I'm going to help too 3nodding I'll be her big sister in a way, and teach her how to play and help Nicole with figuring out what kind of reeds to buy and other stuff like that.

It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy spreading the Good News of the Clarinet. blaugh

awe nevira I'm glad for you!!!! whee

biggrin maybe if your confident enough to teach the clarinet you can have a part time job as a teacher...then you can save up money that way :3.

When I reach my junior year I'm gonna try to teach little kids to play heart since I wanna save up for juilliard [PUAHAHA]...royal college of music...and paris conservatory sweatdrop

I can't hold my clarinet at the moment, the screw in the back won't go in anymore..

crying its a tragic moment for me as I speak...

oh yeah............

my CYMO auditions...people are finding it surprising that I did absolutely horrible...because I did scream , my friend alex was like, "YOU'LL GET IN! YOUR THE BEST CLARINETIST IN THE SCHOOL!"

...i'm a freshman...the seniors? ten times better then me...-_-;. So I squeaked a million times...my sight reaading was horrible, the orchestra excerpts...only one that was absolutely beautiful was scene aux champs

maybe I should've chosend to just do scene aux champs and marche au supplice...then maybe i could've gotten into the intermezzo at the very least.. crying i ended up crying like crazy gonk

so I'm gonna make stuart restrain me from poulenc, I don't believe I can approach it with the state of my technical ability so I wanna be slaved to learning my technique for a while...

who thinks I can manage to perfect poulenc within the span of two months?! O_O...but when you think about it, I learned my chromatic up to high G, tempo 120, triplets, without my teacher in the span of a month...so if I put that much effort in...and even more...I can get into all state by some magical power yes?

Hi people. I started playing clarinet 9 years ago... but I was teaching myself then. I actually had a teacher... 7 years ago when I was in 6th grade. ^_^ I'm in Fort Mill marching band! It's great! I'm a senior and one of the loudest players. I'm always in time... so I'm a great person to look up to... I didn't get the section leader position though... and i'm really mad because our section leader is TERRIBLE!!! She can't really march that well... or play her music that well... she leaves our measures that she "dosn't want to play... and... she said "I'm waiting until concert season to get serious about band" I was Apalled!!!!!!! anyway..... clarinets are Amazing! ^_^

OMG that would piss me off. its kind of sad that the senior cant play the high b, it makes me want to slap her and be like "what makes you think you should be section leader let alone play the clarinet!!" lol. i just had to state my oppinion toward that. lol.

hey nevira were we talking about that new line of R13s the tosca? that clarinet makes me laugh like CRAZY

if we're not talking about it I'm sorry, but this clarinetist who came in to help us [-_- if only stuart would come to our school again sad ] he had a tosca...I wanted to laugh....

no offense but why are they merely ADDING things to their clarinets, we don't need an extra key, we need the keys they have to be fixed rolleyes

I can't reach down to that key too xP...

mm clarinet lessons with stuart soon :3 I only learned 3 out of the 7 studies he gave me >< I feel bad

Yay! I found the Clarinets! I've been playing for 5 years, on and off. I'm currently a senior at Santa Cruz High and the second seat/assistant section leader for the clarinets. whee
Its my second year in the band, and my second year marching too...

By the way, Mizuki Mariela, when you said that the senior couldn't play high B, were you referring to the B with the octave key, and 1 finger down?
