Alice surfaced, spluttering and gasping as she groped for Vorpal and something to grab onto. She hadn't been a good swimmer as a drone, and even now she was prone to flailing. With her Honedge's help, she found shallow water. She stood up, shaking herself off. To think, at one point she'd relished being wet and uncomfortable. "You okay?" she asked her stalwart starter.
>I really don't like this place,< Vorpal remarked with a metallic clang. Still, he was physically fine, and gave her a gentle nudge.
She gave a sweet smile, scooping him up in her arms and hoping him close to her chest. "Good. All right, then let's keep going." Alice vaguely recalled an area like this at the beginning of the crater... so hopefully, she could manage to retrace a phantom of her steps.

Soon after passing by the laughing roggenrola, Alexander became aware of a tapping on his arm. He looked down to see Titania was tapping his arm with her now-empty paper plate. Alexander pursed his lips, then knelt down."Fine, fine. Just shove it in the bag for now,"he told the pawniard, to which she quickly started unzipping the main section enough so that she could force the round piece of paper into it. She then zipped it back up and looked to be waiting for something else.
It took a moment since he had to keep a tight grip on the egg he was carrying, but Alexander managed to stand back up. He then looked down at the waiting pawniard."Do you want to stay out here or would you rather sit in your ball?"the boy asked. Titania responded by pointing to her ball."Pawn,"she replied, and although Alexander couldn't understand what she actually said, the meaning was clear enough. Sighing, the trainer grabbed the ball in question with a spare hand and pointed it at the dark and steel type to recall it."At least one of us gets a reprieve from the heat,"Alexander muttered as the pawniard was sucked inside the ball. With that done, the boy placed his starter's ball back onto his belt before starting on his way again.
((Just a heads up your count is wrong. You should be 3/10 rolls into the Volcano not 2. The count starts at 1 not 0.)) The young trainer would simply find himself in the presence of the snickering Roggenrola. Apparently he'd gotten turned around somewhere and the rock found this hilarious.

Between her own shivers and Vorpal's vibrations, Alice was slowly warming up. For a moment, she was tempted to call out the rest of her team-- the more, the merrier, and perhaps the rest of the body heat would help. But she didn't want to subject anyone else to this misery... and Vorpal seemed too cuddly to be recalled. Well, as long as he was okay, so was she. So in silence they trudged through the murky depths, looking for a sign.
Moving forward, Alice was unlikely to find herself warm and dry anytime soon. With each step she'd pull further away from the crater, and as she did a deluge would fall upon her. In the distance thunder rumbled. Yup, it would seem she was back in the meadow!
Thundering Meadows
Thunder cracks, heralding your entrance into this place. Lighting flashes to show the way. Keep your eyes off the performance in the sky though, and look ahead. The grass grows taller here, wet from the near constant rain. One wrong step and you might find yourself falling on your backside, or straight into the nest of a none-too-happy-Pokemon. Keep your eyes sharp, watch your step, and remember... a rumble doesn't always mean thunder ahead.

No one regrets this fact than Poppy's mun, who imagined that the path was still a misty forest. Rip to the mun who doesn't do her own character justice. Oblivious to this meta plight, the young girl continues forth, peering into the water around her for signs of any particularly good water-types as she pulls out her Old Rod. Might as well try for a bite here. Pausing on the path, she sends the line out into the water to try and see what she can get, if anything.

...Wait, what? Apparently, Alexander had somehow managed to go back to where the sniggering roggenrola was sitting. Had he really gotten turned around so badly by kneeling for a moment?"...Right..."the boy muttered, then decided to try a different route. Hopefully that one would actually lead him further into the area instead of causing him to circle back again.

Dipping her rod into the water, it wouldn't be long before the girl found herself with a bite! Pulling back on the line hard, a bright orange shape would come flying out of the water and begin flopping about the Lilypads. Yup, she'd caught a strong and health Magikarp! Being a Magikarp it wasn't up for a fight of course, so if she wanted to fight it she'd have to start that herself. Otherwise she could probably just kick it back into the bog.
The next thing to cross the boy's path, quite literally, would be a Numel. Moving it's legs with all the urgency of a sleepy Shuckle, the Fire-type would lazily sway its head from side to side as it sang ">Hum dee dum dum....trum dee dum dum~<" Seemed Alexander wasn't finding a battle here...assuming he had the patience to wait for the Numel to walk by.

Oh! This path again! Where she'd first met Maddie, and seen that rock... it'd been so long since Alice had seen these fields covered in continual torrential rain. Admittedly, this place wasn't her favorite, but it meant she was getting closer to the boat! Hugging Vorpal closer, she took off deeper into the meadows.

Alice was starting to miss the Mirage Arena. It was full of violence and strangeness, certainly, but at least it was dry. And warm. She pulled her baskets closer to her body, not wanting to get her egg as wet as she was right now.

Could robots catch colds? She had a feeling the answer was "no", but desperately wished Lankford was here to answer her. Also, because Lankford had a bit coat that he would no doubt let her hide under. She smiled at the image-- a tiny robot of a girl and a lanky scientist awkwardly trying to avoid the rain.
Zander had finally arrived at the Island of New Beginnings. He hopped out of the gracious Swanna boat and thanked the Ducklett for their effort in reaching the island. The ride had been casual and enjoyable.
Now Zander could feel the nerves kicking in. He was excited. Perhaps a little frightened? Zander and Tony hadn't had too much experience in battle yet, and he knew this place would be a great place to train. Zander placed his faith in himself and his partner.

Alice held Vorpal tighter to her chest. Admittedly, she wasn't sure if she was missing Lankford or not. Certainly, the overprotective guardian would have thrown several fits if he knew what she'd been doing. All this fighting, falling off of floating gravity platforms, getting captured by weird mushroom kings... he wouldn't have approved in the slightest. It was far more likely he would have literally grabbed her and brought her back to the lab.
Magikarp was known to be one of the most useless Pokemon for good reason, and though this looked to be a strong and healthy one, it was unlikely that it could do much of what she needs it to. She needs a water Pokemon that can help her fill up her water tank in her Poke-lot so she can have running water as well as allow her to start planning a plot for growing berries, but a Magikarp would have trouble with that and wouldn't be happy to have to live in her bathtub if it could even fill her water tank. Kneeling down by it, she picks it up and drops it carefully back into the water before straightening back up. Should she try again? Picking up her rod, she tosses the line back into the water, a little further off to try and increase the odds of getting a different Pokemon.
