Voss - On Board Epoch WrenFUBAR had plenty of time to alert De'Avril that the girl in the Bacta had woken well before her healing time, but the pilot had larger objects falling from the sky to worry about. "Why can't things ever go smooth?" she muttered, jamming a control arm in place and pulling an overhead lever. Back in the hold, the droid dutifully obeyed Zara's command to the best of it's abilities. Granted, those abilities were limited by the fact that Corvin had already redacted many of the smuggling compartments from the ships schematics, and hadn't updated the charts with many of his personal modifications, but what it did know it dutifully projected as a holo of a YT-2400 Light Freighter labeled Epoch Wren. It had been given no instructions to indicate it should act otherwise.

Voss - Gormak Koss
Dawson didn't have time for these questions, he needed to find Zara she had a hell of a lot of explaining to do. "Where is my first mate, the one who was a sith. She still owes me a good deal of credits, among other things." When the other ship started up its thrusters, the zeltron narrowed his eyes "Thats a fool move with all the fighting going on up there, you will be blasted into the void before you can punch in your hyperspace coordinates ." The pirate pinched the bridge of his nose and shook his head, he knew from experience that the Empire was not the most competent but with the amassed fighters that had to be deployed in orbit would tear the freighter into space dust.

Voss - On Board Epoch WrenZara smiled at the droid's simple, unquestioning obedience when it displayed the map for her and did nothing else. In times like this, she liked droids more than she liked people. She was about to request that the droid give information on the ship's present location when she heard the thrusters activate. Panic once again sent a jolt of life through her fatigued mind. Not having been aware of the bombardment going on outside, Zara could only come to the conclusion that her Je'daii captors started the engines as soon as they realized she was awake, to ensure that she would not escape. But there was still time before they were airborne. She stood up quickly, regretting this fast, reckless action almost immediately as her face contorted into a look of pain. It felt as though her side was ripping open. Indeed, her wounds had not been properly stitched up before she was placed in the Bacta tank, nor would they had to have been had she actually stayed inside long enough. But now, to her, this was the least of her worries. Examining the map of the typical smuggler's ship provided by the droid, she tried to remember as much as she could as she limped down a corridor, trying to find a med bay for a stim to keep her awake through the heavy sedatives, only to discover that the map she had been shown was not an entirely faithful representation of the ship she was presently on. Of course! How stupid of her to blindly trust the droid belonging to the enemy! They must have anticipated her escape, programming the droid to display a false image of the ship to mislead her. Clever, clever Je'daii... With her mind becoming foggy and less capable of rational thought mostly due to the drugs and delirium induced by her severe exhaustion, she continued to walk despite the pain she was in. Her walking turned into stumbling, and she longed to sit down and rest a minute, just a minute, but she knew that if she did so she would surely fall asleep. With or without the sedatives, unless one counted the time she spent blacked out, Zara hadn't had any rest throughout this entire ordeal; between the rescue and "escape" from Coruscant, the travel all the way to the outer rim, and now this battle there hadn't been any downtime for her, nor any time when she trusted the people around her enough to sleep. Consequently, it must have been nearly three days since she slept, and her body and mind were completely exhausted. She longed to close her eyes and allow sleep to overcome her, but that was something she had to avoid at all costs when she was in such a vulnerable position, surrounded by enemies. When she found herself leaning against the hull of the ship, Zara had to pinch herself awake. She had to carry on, no matter what... The circular corridor led her back to the cargo hold, and by chance she spotted an escape pod hatch. Not an airlock, but close enough, and Zara wasn't willing to risk wandering the labyrinth of the ship a second time only to find nothing yet again. She used every last bit of her strength to open the hatch and climb inside of the pod, locking and sealing the hatch behind her, but her mind went blank when she stared at the panel of buttons, switches, and levers, which she may have been able to operate had she been in a different state of mind. Dammit! Where did that astromech droid go? She looked around feebly, then felt the heaviness of her head and closed her tired eyes for a moment, just a moment... NO.She bit down hard on her lip until she drew blood, precious blood that she didn't realize had just started to trickle out of her re-opened wound again. She had to stay awake. That was the plan. Her life depended on her staying awake right now. And once this ship went airborne, she would pull the lever that would eject the pod from the ship. And then she would have to stay awake long enough to pilot the escape pod back to the planet. And then everything would be okay... right? Somehow she just wasn't sure.

"Very good, fire at will!"
The lasers aboard the Vengeance flared to life and blasted against the shields of the Je'daii ship, resuming the bombardment.

Voss - Battlegrounds A sonic boom might have been heard in Corvin's wake, had it not paled before the sound of aerial bombardment. He nearly bowled into Elyria in his haste to find her. "You're safe!" he announced, relief plain in his voice before he turned his eyes skyward just in time to witness the next spike fall from orbit, colliding not far from the walls. "Of course, safe is a relative term..." "Yes...I'm safe... she followed his gaze.. "It's Vic...he wasn't too happy when I left the Battlefield...I fear this is just the beginning.... she looked at him then..a smile slowly playing on her lips.... .."it was you...you saved me...I almost...almost... she shook her head and met his eyes again for the briefest of seconds.. He turned his attention to Davth then. "Where's Ka'all?" he demanded, unaware that Elyria had just asked him that. she pointed over to the structure "Master Terva said he is in there...I was heading over to check on him myself....where is Zara..did you bring her to the medics?"We've got to get out of here!" No sooner had Corvin said this than the thrusters of the Epoch Wren began to whir with pre-launch prep. "Corvin...there is nowhere to go..the sky's are lit by fire..until this dogfight is done we are trapped here...we need to contact the Mace Windu...we have to find out the status of our fleet..make no mistake..if things turn against us we have to get out as quickly as possible and get the Grandmaster safely home...but for now we have to sit tight...the best thing we can do is tend to the wounded and make preparations for a quick departure...she indicated Davth with a tilt of her head, giving Corvin a look which she hoped would convey her suspicions about the Togruta. She then turned to Terva.. "Davth..if you feel the medics are sufficient to handle the wounded..perhaps..perhaps you should make your way to Voss-Ka...to the Mystics..they may be able to tell us something if they are willing..and you could check on our Embassy there...I think it might be worthwhile since the Emperor has virtually disappeared..he may be making his way there too..I can think of no other viable option at this point...

Voss - Battlegrounds I saved her... the thought rang in Corvin's mind like a bell whose tone drowned out the sounds of battle around them. In the calm that followed he realized the aerial bombardment had ceased, at least for now. "I've got your quick departure prepped and ready to go, Elyria..." Corvin said, looking around at the remains of the battlefield. "But if that last assault was any indication, the Sith are doing as well in the sky as we are on the ground... and they don't care about casualties here any longer. This is about to become Mustafar all over again, and I don't plan to be on the ground when it happens. The Wren's got double armor plating - she can get us all out of here unnoticed and unharmed, and I for one would rather we did it quickly!" He hated arguing with her about Davth, but even the mystics wouldn't be much help to a pile of corpses. He looked at the Terva and added "Your friend is already on board, swimming in a fresh bath of Bacta. She'll be better off than any of us in no time, if she's got the sense to stay in there!"

Voss - Battlegrounds "Where would we retreat too? We can not go to the temple, the Empire is on the warpath and they will certainly be tracking ships entering the core from this region. Should we by chance escape the fleet battle, and the empire get the ships transponder codes we would lead them straight to Tython with our own fleet in tatters half way across the galaxy. We can not run, we brought the Empire and the Sith here. If we do escape we will only bring ruin to all who live on this planet for harboring us." The togruta shook his head as he spoke and moved away from the wall he had been leaning on before continuing. "We can not leave, not with out someone suffering because of us. Is that what we do now? We are no better than the empire if we pull innocents into the fray only to turn tail and run. We must have faith in the fleet." he had said nothing about the young girl but was relieved that she would survive. "I have said my piece, but now I must part ways my friends. There is something.... something I must do. " The togruta turned facing towards the north east, he could sense the raw dark side energy's or at least he thought he could. He stood there for a moment toying with the idea of taking a speeder or even a techbeast but shook them off. He looked back over his shoulder, the pain was visible through the grin he had forced on his face as he spoke "May we meet again soon." ((Zara is Dawson's friend))

She'll be better off than any of us in no time, if she's got the sense to stay in there!"The zeltron let a sigh of relief and the emotion began to radiate off of him "One can only hope she stayed in the tank. She has had a very rough few days and that's only since we teamed up.""We can not leave, not with out someone suffering because of us. Is that what we do now? We are no better than the empire if we pull innocents into the fray only to turn tail and run. We must have faith in the fleet."I don't know about that one, I'd personally rather live to count my coin and fight a few more days that be killed by some namless cur of a gunner. Image the legendary Captain Dawson killed by orbital bombardment... I won't have it." he turned to face the human male "Your ship may have armor, she may be fast, but is she expected back in the core? I say we wait, move out ships somewhere away from this base wait for the fighting to die down, or one of your valiant cruisers to distract all of the Imperial fleet so that we may slip off world, I have a somewhat legitimate reason to be in this sector and better yet back to coruscant. We take the Delirium to lets say nar shadaa, or even nal hutta, load her full of alcohol, booze, and spice. Leave your ship somewhere along the way, have some one take it somewhere else I could care less, and then I can drop you all off somewhere, or maybe tagalong. You bunch may be the type of trouble I have been missing."
