"Then I don't want you trying it, not by yourself." Van said. "I don't want you risking your life to get me out of a situation I'm more than used to by now." he said looking to one of his chained up hands, clenching a fist and struggling against his bonds, but to no avail.

"I'd rather wait and stay positive than risk you dying, especially after all that trouble I went through to let you have kids." Van half-joked. After Riley and Angel had their baby, the idea of having a family with Mala, where they could be together forever...It was nice.

Mala smiled faintly at the thought. "Ours. No one else's." she murmured, reffering to his comment about her being able to have children now.

"I know you will. No worries here!" Van said brightly. "I wonder what the chances are of finding the old guy from before to help us out?" he pondered.
((I just realized, Gaia doesn't seem to be doing any Halloween event this year. Normally they've started the trick-or-treating by now. D:

"Hmmm." The Librarian had been looking at them all, and eventually her eyes found a cute girl, holding a baby. She gave a giggle and a clap, stepping over to her. "Oh, how delightful, a child! May I hold her?"
Angel gave a little frown and handed Jezebellun to her. "Do you want to help me kill Atius?"
The Librarian gave a little frown. "Young lady, that's not a very good thing to talk about, vampire or no. Being angry gets nobody anywhere. Talk about it like civilized people. Only, remember to bring a crowbar for skullbashing." Then she bounced the child a bit, making her giggle. "Oooh! She's so adorable!"

Van blinked a few times in a surprise when a truly brilliant idea struck him. "...My being imprisoned is, through sheer amounts of raw stupidity, supposed to be the source of the gods' power, right? Which means that, for the time being, the rest of the gods are at the very least getting stronger again. This pretty much screws over every nut that wanted to kill a god and take his place. I figure we'll get a lot more people eager and willing to help if we tell them their chances of becoming a god will sky rocket if they help get me out of here."

Mala smirked devilishly. "Oh, trust me, I'll spread the word. If we're lucky, most of the pantheon might even get what's coming to them." she said, quite pleased by the thought.

"I swear, once I get out of here, I have a nice list of things to do upon my freedom. First and foremost being to give you a nice big kiss, of course." Van said. "After that, next chance I get, I'm going to make sure Tubby gets his just desserts and is the next one to get sealed up in here. Then, I'm going to take the crappy ring and chuck it into the deepest body of water I can find."
Riley glared at the Librarian and Recorder, pushing the former's hand away from Angel and their child. They just lost Van and these two were acting like a couple of scholars watching some native ritual in glee. "Atius is the head god in these parts. He's also an a*****e that just sealed away a good friend of ours and my sister's boyfriend. Now what do you two want?"

The Librarian seemed a little hurt. "My name is the Librarian. As my name should suggest, I rather enjoy books, and this is merely a distraction until I can get back to them. And I am sympathetic to your situation, but I can't help the situation, so the best thing for me to do is to simply do nothing, as I'm sure saying I can help and then lacking said ability would only worsen the situation." She paused. "Also, I think he's absolutely insane." The Librarian pointed at the Recorder.

"Oh, I think you'd have been more sure of that by now, Librarian!" Turning to Riley, the Recorder's face straightened. "We're... travelers, you see, from another world. We'd like to get home, but we're stranded. We need a strong source of energy, and we may be able to help each other out. This deity of yours sounds like a powerful being. If we could... channel his power, we might be able to solve your problem and ours."
