"What's that supposed to mean?" Earendil laughed. He was distracted when Miyuki brought the ball over to him, and he grinned widely at her, holding out his hands to take the ball from him.
"Why, thank you, Miyuki," he beamed. "Do you want to play?"

Miyuki stared at the ball and stared at Earendil. She smiled up at him, happy that he was awake and gave the ball to him.
"Dil!"
"Miyuki was trying to wake you up this morning," Lin explained highly amused.

Earendil chuckled and ruffled Miyuki's hair affectionately, then tossed the ball to the other side of the room. "Go get it!" he beamed; and then he turned to Lin.
"Did she?" he asked, amused. "I have no recollection of that ... I must have really been out of it. Usually I'm a light sleeper ..."

Squealing happily, Miyuki turned and chased after the ball. Her two tails waving happily behind her. She was more than happy to play with Earendil.
"She was calling out for you and trying to get onto your bed," Lin replied.

Earendil chuckled and blushed. "Well. Serves me right for staying up half the night. I suppose Haldia's off taking a nap?" he asked, glancing sidewise at Lin, his cheeks still a dark shade of pink.

Lin nodded, "She's off taking a nap. It was very adorable. Miyuki even learned a few new words while you were asleep, I think she's parroting people."
The person in question came back with the ball in her hands, holding it up to Earendil.

Earendil grinned at Miyuki and ruffled her hair again, then took the ball from her and tossed it away once more.
"New words?" he repeated, grinning at Lin. "What words?"

"Sleep, Mommy....."
Lin completely skipped over the word love because that held one too many complications for her. Though honestly she was going to have to figure this out. Earendil deserved for her to at least figure out her own feelings, even if she had no idea what to think or feel on the matter.
"Mummi!" Miyuki repeated as she hurried back over with the ball.

Earendil laughed and scooped Miyuki up into his arms, hugging her playfully. "Growing up so fast!" he chuckled. He sat Miyuki on his knees and grinned at her. "Your mommy tells me you're learning new words!"
He was quite proud of her.

Actually it made sudden sense why it seemed Earendil spoiled Miyuki more out of any other child she had seen him with. Like the way a father would, she made her think some more.
Miyuki laughed at being picked up and hugged, "Dil!"
She pointed at him.

Earendil did an exaggerated pout. "You say my name for me, but you say more for your Mommy," he told her, feigning hurt. "Aren't you going to say your new words for me? Say 'mommy'!"
He grinned at her again, his eyes sparkling brightly. He didn't see the look on Lin's face, he was too busy playing with Miyuki at the moment.

Lin was very grateful that Miyuki was in her parroting stage at the moment so at least her wording would be so random.
"Mummi!" Miyuki called out, "Dil!"
She could probably even point and tell people which was which.

Earendil chuckled and hugged Miyuki. "Good for you!" he said warmly. "I'm proud of you!"
He grinned and sat her down again. "What else can you say now?" he asked her proudly. "Show me your other words!"

Miyuki paused and stared at him, he seemed to like it when she was saying words, "Luffs!"
That was a good word, more or less.
Lin winced a bit realizing she didn't quite know how much Miyuki parroted at times.

Earendil clapped his hands together. "Good!" he beamed, guessing that she was trying to say 'love' or something similar. Of course, he assumed it was from something like Lin saying 'I love you' while putting Miyuki to bed or something.
He picked up the ball again and set it in Miyuki's hands. "This is a ball," he grinned at her. "Say 'ball'?"
