Penelope? She must be really worried if she is using my full name.

She gave a comforting smile as the nurse returned. She wasn't sure what she could say to Mandi. Though she wanted to say something.

Before Pen could figure out something, the nurse asked her to step out as they prepared Mandi for the transfusion. "You can stay as long you want after that dear," the nurse said as she read Pen's concern.

"I understand. I'll be in the waiting outside when your done." Pen nodded to the boss lady and headed out of the door.

(Oh tell her I said hi then)

Pen gave a relaxing exhale seeing that the Boss and Mandi were okay. Followed by a smirk running across her face at the mention of the little Gallows in the making.

She watched the couple for a moment and was warmed by the sight. "Well lets get home, I had my excitement for the day." Pen chuckled and got up from leaning on the outside wall. "That and I should get Luc's car back home."

Waffle had caught up with the rest of the group, almost out of breath. Sabe looked at his pocket watch. It was already dark outside, just not pitch-black yet.

"Shouldn't we be home by now? It's getting late." Sabe said, not enjoying being outside in the cold for this long.

"That's what I'm thinking!"

"What the...-GYAAAAH!"

Waffle's question was cut off as both of them fell into a portal. They were spit out of another portal that was planted the dojo, on the ceiling. After a rough landing, both portals closed, and a certain relative of Waffle's was laughing through an image in her orb.

"Why'd you do that, dad?"
"Two things...actually three. One, I need Sabe to hurry up and set the second half of my experiment up before the morning; Two, I wanted to test a small part of it right away, which were the portals, and three, because I can."
"All that did was give me a headache!" Waffle snarled.
"Then go get some sleep. Geez."
"Fine. Good night."
"Okay. G'night."

Waffle got up from the floor and headed into the kitchen, just to find Skotti rummaging through the fridge for juice. She left the orb with Sabe.

"I see you all got home before I did." she said while she got two muffins from the kitchen. Not expecting a reply, she headed out of the kitchen and walked to her bedroom. Sabe followed suit, getting a rather large cup of coffee first. He would definitely need it, given that he would likely be up all night setting up a machine. He headed into the room, just to find Waffle already asleep and having finished eating one of the muffins. The other muffin was just sitting there with a note under it. He picked up the note and read it, then took the muffin. He also saw a large package on the other side of the room.

"Waffle's father is a strange one." he said to himself, unaware that Koteki's image was still present in the orb.

"Yes, I know I'm weird! Now hurry up and open the damn box so you can see what you're working with!"

Sabe nearly jumped out of his skin, but then calmed down and headed over to the package on the floor. He started to open the box up and examine the contents of it.

Pen just fell into the couch as they reached the lobby. Her tired limbs and her whirling mind began to ache and it will take a good amount of inspiration to get ready for bed.

Half asleep she heard a thud in the dojo. "Huh," Pen perked up as Waffle and Sabe walked out. "How did you, wait wait I don't want to know." This was the inspiration to get up but will it get her upstairs.

Passing Skotti's office to head up the steps, she heard him say something about a secretary. This caused Pen to regain enough strength to get up the steps and into bed.

Oh I hope we can relax now. I need a long nap. She chuckled as she tucked herself in. But as she fell into her dream world a sensation came to her lips.

"Well today wasn't that bad, no at all." Her thoughts did a run through the events and as she finished the rural raised elf fell into a blissful sleep.

After Sabe had taken the parts out of the box, he looked at them. They were all made of an unindentified metal, and in his mind he imagined that the parts would go together to form an octagonal shape, or at least something similar.

"Interesting stuff, isn't it?"
"It is. How do I piece this machine together?" Sabe asked before he bit into his muffin.

Koteki explained how he pieced the first part of the machine together, and Sabe did exactly that, to the best of his ability, occasionally sipping coffee to keep himself awake. Two hours went by, and Sabe was almost done with setting up the portal. He was surprised that the machine was taller than he was, especially wondering how the parts were able to fit in a relatively small box.

After fastening the last bolt, he felt like falling over. Sabe was dead-tired.

"Nice work." Koteki commented. "Now set to 'active' mode. Don't worry, it runs off of arcane magic, not electricity. Time to run a small test."

Sabe looked for the switch, found it, and activated it. The machine glowed brightly, which caused Waffle to grab a pillow and put it over her head.

Meanwhile, in the other dimension, Koteki had left the room that he was in to go get a soft foam ball, and then headed over to where the he was, in front of the other portal.

"Here. Catch!" he said, throwing the ball into the first portal.

Sabe was confused by a slight delay, but the rubber ball flew threw the portal shortly afterwards, smacking him in the face and waking him up.

"Glad it was a foam ball, huh?' Koteki asked laughing. He didn't notice Colbur hovering by the door, watching the entire scene.
"Now throw it back here!"

Sabe tossed the ball though the portal, and it flew over Koteki's head. He turned around to see that Colbur ended up catching the foam ball. Koteki's image quickly turned back to Sabe.

"Looks like it's good so far. You can enjoy some sleep after you switch the portal to 'off'. I'll be seeing you later." he said, his image disappearing.

Sabe laughed nervously as he deactivated the switch, cleaned up the area, and headed to the kitchen to wash out his coffee cup. He threw away any trash from the muffins, and headed back to the bedroom to get some much needed sleep.

Meanwhile, Koteki was laughing nervously himself as he had to deal with Colbur, who had an expression that was both happy and irritated, an expression that Koteki really did not trust too well.

"Ehehehe...what are you doing up?"
"Oh, nothing. Your shouting just happened to wake me up.

Oh ********. What is he going to do to me now?

"Uh...I happened to get my machine up and running." he said, trying to change the subject. Colbur just continued smiling, and dragged the other man back into his room, so both could get back to sleep. They would need it as well, given that sometime the next day, they'd pay Waffle and her friends a visit, and bring 5 of the attendants with them.

"Good night."
"Yeah...g'night."

Luciano sat up in his bedroom, on the balcony he stood; looking at Durem and all its glory. He leaned against the railing, by now he had thrown his pants and hoodie into the washing machine because they smelled of smoke and his hoodie had blood on it. He sighed and then rested his chin upon his hand. He was so exhausted.
Luciano looked over at Michelle, who was sleeping soundly in bed. She was wearing his favourite t-shirt and his favourite pair of boxers. He let out a soft laugh and then he walked into the room, closed the door, and then sat at his desk. He hadn't written in a while, so he sat down and began to work.

((OK! We're going to Meet Luciano's cousins now!))

Luciano fell asleep at his desk, he was completely exhausted from the mission. Suddenly he heard a slam, his eyes flew open and he drew his gun at the person he finally realized was his cousin Sophie.

"b***h!!!" she shouted and then slapped the gun out of his hand, "Put that back right now and give me a ******** hug!!"
Luciano was very shocked by this, so he got up and threw his robe on "What the hell are you guys doing here? How'd you guys get in?" he said as he tied up the string.


Romero climbed onto the balcony, shortly being accompanied by Mila "Yeah, nice to see you too, Luci- Ah, hey, you're going to need more rope because Sophie's fat a** snapped the other section.



Mila climbed onto the balcony with the help of Romero, she gave him a hug and told him 'Thank you' then she innocently waved at Luciano, "Hiiiiii!!!- We had to climb up to your room! The front door was locked."
"Ummmm. . . of course it's locked. We lock the doors every night." Luciano said as Mila gave him a big hug and then a sisterly kiss on the cheek. "Is anyone else with you?" he asked, suddenly he heard the doorbell rang, "What the ********>" he thought as he went to answer the door.


Juliano stood at the door, awaiting for someone to answer. He saw Luciano head for the door, he smiled at his cousin and waved, "Hey!" he said in a friendly tone of voice.

Luciano answered the door for Juliano and he raised his brow, "How come you-?"
"Dude,. . would you want to climb up after Sophie?" he said, interupting Luciano.
"Juliano, Sophie isn't fat- in fact, she's got a killer figure."
"Ew. You check out your own cousin?- How human of you." Juliano said as he entered HQ.
Luciano rolled his eyes then closed the door. As happy as he was to see his cousins, now was not the time to have them over. He was too tired to deal with ALL of them at once- Though Mila wasn't much trouble. She was a good kid, as was Juliano.
His cousins came down the stairs, all smiling brightly and Luciano. Luciano cocked his brow then he said, ". . . Wha?" Suddenly every one of them ran over, tackled Luciano to the floor, and smothered him with family love "WE MISSED YOU!!!!" All of them said at once as they nearly crushed him. Luciano felt his ribs almost cave in, but he said lovingly- or as lovingly as he could, "I love you guys, too. . . ARGH!!! Now GET-THE ******** OFF!!"

Pen groaned as she was awaken from her slumber. "I was having a nice dream too," she muttered trying to cover her head with her pillow to get back to it. However to no avail, the only thing to do now was take a small stroll and hope the exercise tired her out again.

She looked down her bunk bed ladder to find the Blinding on the floor, still asleep with her usual smile across her face. Pen sat up in her bunk and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, then looked back down. "Nope she is there alright," Pen yawned and climbed down the ladder.

Getting to the bottom, Pen brushed off the junk on her lower bunk and put the Blinding under the covers. "Sleep well, Lana." she chuckled under her breath and started to head out the door.

Pen in her half awake state in pajama bottoms and off white tank top, began to march towards Luc's room. It was on the way to the lobby and maybe a glass of Santa Milk from the kitchen would lull this elf asleep once more.
