"With our luck, there'll surely be an interruption. Let's just hope it isn't too bad..." And with that, he went to Central Park, waiting for Amnity before leaving the Infirmary.

Amnity shrugged. "Who knows, maybe we're just lucky enough to not get one at all." She jogged after him, smiling all the way.

Amnity led Mephlius into the Infirmary. He didn't bother debating it with her, he just smiled and followed along.

Amnity came into the Infirmary, trying to keep her voice from cracking as she called for Gail. This time, the doctor didn't make any jokes after seeing the seriousness of the situation. Quickly, they brought him to the surgery room. Many times Dr. Gail instructed Amnity to leave, but she refused to, threatening to stop taking her medication and kill herself if the doctor wouldn't let her see Mephlius. Reluctantly, she let her stay with her fiance with the fear that she may actually do what she says.
"This is serious Amnity...The nitrate is quickly flowing through his blood stream-" "Well, F***ing do something damnit! You have to help him!" Amnity refused to listen to the bad news, anger boiling in her blood.
The doctor sighed, bieng just as frustrated as the hunter was."Liquid nitrate bullets are more lethal then Silver bullets, it will be more difficult to get it out of him. The liquid immediately goes to his bloodstream. We could give him blood transfusions, put him into some medications to lower his blood pressure so the nitrate won't be able to flow through his entire body."With that, the doctor instructed some nurses to give him anesthetic and pain killers.
Amnity looked at Mephlius, gritting her teeth as tears trickled from her eyes. She turned to Dr. Gail, fire seemed to burn in her red eyes. "...G-give him my blood Gail...We have the same blood type and...Please..." Instead of threatening her, this time her voice was pleading as desperation was visible in her face. "Please..." The last word was almost a whisper.
Gail looked at Amnity in shock, then gave a quick nod. She ordered the nurses to take some of Amnity's blood and hook it to the transfusion pouch. Gently, they injected the needle into the hunter's arm and drew some of her blood before injecting the blood transfusion pouch to Mephlius.
Amnity didn't even flinch as the needle peirced her arm, she kept a steady gaze to Mephlius, silently praying to God that he'd be alright. "You'll be alright Mephlius...I'll make sure of it myself." She gave him a faint smile.

Mephlius had a light grin the entire time, even when they were talking about his potential death. "I know you will, Am... I know..."

Amnity sighed, raking her silver hair back with her fingers. Without taking the needle out, she reached for a chair and brought it by his bedside. He seemed extremely calm, despite his potential death. Amnity wished that she could be as relaxed as he was, but alas, she couldn't. It took a lot of strength to hold back hysterical crying, but if he could stay so calm when he's the one injured, then she needed to stay calm too. Taking a seat, she tried her best to smile. "...That...Wasn't the best interruption we had....But strangely it wasn't the worst one either."

His blood felt so thick... partially saturated with silver. Every time his heart beat, he felt small bits of the silver nitrate run through his blood. He was glad that Gail had let him keep his shirt on. If he had to have taken it off, his web of black veins from the spot he was shot would be visible. Despite all this, he still was able to grin. He turned his head to face the ceiling. "Now all we gotta do is re-build the vacation house." He said, with a slight chuckle. He ended the chuckle with a sigh.

Amnity smiled. "Yeah..." She stood up and walked toward the room closet and stopped abruptly when the transfusion needle nearly tore out of her skin. Wincing in pain, she tried to ignore it as she ripped it from her arm. Taking a deep breathe, she opened the closet and took out a white blanket and an IV stands. Gently, she placed one of the IV stands on the foot of Mephlius' bed and draped one end of the white blanket on it. She brought the other end of the blanket on the heart rate monitor over Mephlius' head. "There....A home away from home...."
She chuckled lightly, entering the little sanctuary she had created. "Our own little vacation house....Oh, I almost forgot the flashlight." With that, she exited the white tent to get a flashlight from the closet, but she came face to face to a shocked nurse. Uh oh... Calmly, she tried to explain to the frantic woman why the needle is no longer attached to her arm, and for the reason to why there is a white tent over one of the patients. The nurse sighed, saying that she was only there to check on her, and handed her her medication. Amnity groaned in frustration when the woman also asked if she could quick her blood pressure and heart beat. Sitting down, she shivered as the cold metal of the stethoscope pressed over her heart, the nurse looking at her wrist watch, measuring the beats per second.
The hunter came back into the tent, coughing a bit because she just swallowed her pills. "Sorry about that...I got the flashlight." She smiled, pointing the light on the white of the blanket. Thinking for a second, she finally formed her fingers before the light, a shadow of a mouse.

Mephlius raised his hands to the flashlight. His sleeves slid down a little bit, and one or two black veins could barely be seen. Only a few inches of them could be seen extending past his sleeve, but they extended all the way down to his right flank. He didn't even notice, as he was too busy messing with his hands. He made an excuse for an elephant, that approached the mouse. It reered back at the sight, and ran in circles out of fear of the tiny mouse.

Amnity chuckled lightly, making the little mouse bounce up and down because the ground shook as the elephant ran in circles. The light caught his arms though, making the black veins visible as they seemed to web across his forearm. Her smile died as she pulled apart her little mouse and grabbed his arm. "Mephlius..." She placed a hand on his sleeve and pulled it back some more, revealing the veins that extended down his arm. "...It's getting worse...We should call Gail..."

Mephlius' smile died some as Amnity became concerned. "No, I'll be fine." He said, lying mildly. "I know Lycans who have been shot with Silver Nitrate before. I'll be out of it for about 3 days, and my veins will turn slightly back." He purposefully didn't mention the burning pain through his veins, as the silver seared in internal flesh. "Please, trust me, I'm gonna be fine..."

Amnity didn't let go of him, her eyes tracing the black web like veins as they extended further up his arm. "But...Does it hurt?" She finally looked into his eyes, searching for any sign of him lying. "...Tell the truth Mephlius..."

Mephlius rested his hand on top of hers. "Only a little, thanks to Dr. Gail..."

Amnity opened her mouth to argue some more...Then decided not to. She pulled her hand back from under Mephlius', still pretty concerned about his condition, and a bit reluctant to believe that he's going to be alright. "Sorry...It was my fault you got hit...If I could have shot the sniper down sooner then...I keep breaking my promise to you...I couldn't protect you..." She apologized, looking down at the flashlight. Inwardly she was beating herself up, she would rather have stabbed herself a million times then let Mephlius get shot once.

"No... no... no... It's not your fault. I should have been watching my flank. I should have known that my cover wasn't safe. I'm just glad you got him down in time, and he only got one shot off. Any more and..." He trailed off. "You fufilled your promise well. I didn't do too well on mine, though..."
