No, I haven't been down to those dungeons, but I was just guessing from past... er... experiences, that the morphs that might be guarding them physically wouldn't be all that attentive or hard to silence. If anyone knew the typical dungeon layout, or how much the guards usually cared about their duties, it was him. Then again, he was used to sneaking past bored humans, not emotionless morphs. And like I said before, Madriana's very calculating for a wench, and seems to have a wealth of knowledge for magics. I don't for a second doubt that she's some spell in her arsenal to tie a person to a key or a barrier to a lock.

Nils nodded. "I'd be rather useless in the fighting-the-morphs department, seeing as I can't fight..." He laughed sheepishly, still holding the key carefully in his hand.

((Gah...dad's being an a**...g2g.)) Roy looked over at Melethia. "Think Rei or Aiden has it, if I can recall correctly." he said, thinking about the previous battles." He then looked at Matthew. "I don't know. The doors could have been magicked. I may have dragon blood, but I can't sense magic to save my life. Lilina was the one that usually did that for me." Roy then looked at Nils. "I promised Lilina I'd be the one that would get her out. Let me get her out in the 'Rescue crew group', then I'll join with the 'Fight morph group'.

Matthew's attention quickly left his battle strategies when Nils held up the key that would free his Master's daughter. Could I... Take that, do you suppose?

"Grrr..."
He couldn't take it any more--no one was listening to a word he was saying! No one, no one was on his side...
"Every charm can be broken!! I know it!!" Aidan growled, getting out of bed; he stumbled, still not at tip-top health. "Why are you all just accepting it like this?! And you, Abel, I thought you'd be more understanding!! Madriana's a human too, isn't she?!"
He'd had enough. His head was throbbing, and his heart pounded angrily in his chest. The tactician stormed off, snatching his coat up as he left.
"I'll figure something out whether you all like it or not, dammit...!!"

Cortesa Nils nodded. "I'd be rather useless in the fighting-the-morphs department, seeing as I can't fight..." He laughed sheepishly, still holding the key carefully in his hand. *makes an appearance after being gone for days* But Nils, you're far from useless on the battlefield!

Alihi watched as Aidan left, not speaking until he was out. "... Maybe you can think of something I didn't, Aidan..." She murmured to herself.
---
Nils blinked. "I-I guess so, Matthew..."
Then, hearing the familiar voice, he turned around, to face the Fire Dragon. He grinned happily. "... Do you mean that...?"

"Nils you aren't useless. You help us out. You give us a boost power, help us defend outrselves, or help us get our fighting sprirt." Melethia said.

Abel ignored Aidan, as Aidan stomped off, saying something that wouldn't have made sense to Abel anyway. They weren't on the best of terms, since Abel had to punch him in the face... Abel turned to Nils. "You're not worthless! We wouldn't be able to go on, without you giving us strength to! And you can tell when danger is coming! You're very useful!"

"Well if it isn't the Fire Dragon himself! Glad to see you!" Rei paced around, in thought of the upcoming events.

Rhys cocked an eyebrow. Wasn't that dark druid Nergal human, too? Maybe it's the fact that I've been through two wars. Maybe it's that I've seen so many beorc and laguz alike fall to the sword that I've grown accustomed to it. Or maybe it's that I've grown so tired of that moral ambiguity that I no longer care who or what my enemies are. Too many times I've seen my friends and family threatened. Too many blows. Too many wounds. Too many close calls. Did our enemies ever stop to think who WE were? Did our enemies once put aside the lance in the middle of a battle and say, "What are we fighting for?"
He stopped and paused.
Well... yes. Yes, they did on occasion. Once in a blue moon, however. But this? Aidan, why on Earth did you become a tactician if you're so... soft? If you ask me, you'd make a better diplomat than a tactician. These morphs have committed the crimes of enslaving my friends and attempted murder. If they won't repent, then crime shall be met with punishment.
(Weird priest, huh? razz )

Fuming, he sat outside the house with his knees drawn up close to his body. Though his speech was a bit muffled by his cloak, he was, of course, muttering angrily, an occasional swear tossed here and there.
Who do they think they are?! he thought mutinously, If we beat this woman's predecessor AND a dragon, we can pull this off, too!!
He paused to pick up and toss a small pebble near his food. We CAN pull it off...right?
A pegasus glided over to the tactician, flapping her wings as she stopped a few feet in front of Aidan. He stood and pet Huey slowly and thoughtfully.
"You'd do the same thing, wouldn't you, Huey...?" he said quietly. Huey made no sound, but seemed delighted that she was being pet again.
He was silent for a long time before running back into the house--he needed to do some research. (But he'd have to figure out which route he could take so he wouldn't have to see all of them first.)
