So I was cutting some cardboard with an xacto knife, when BAM it slips....
And goes right into my thumb about a centimeter above where it attaches to to the rest of the hand. Immediately blood starts running out and I close my thumb next to my hand so it doesn't drip onto the desk. I then run to the bathroom hoping my roommate doesn't notice. It was very amazing to me and I wanted to get my camera, then I realized that my camera was not findable at the moment so I started to wash it off. The sink turned pink for a moment as the blood went down the drain. and then it was off of my hand... but I noticed that the water where the wound was still had blood in it... It was bleeding still and running in the moving water. I was all like, "well s**t, I better get a paper towel."
I did a flinging motion to get the water off and pink spatters were left on the sink. I washed them down upon noticing them and then left to go to the kitchenette to get a paper towel. I held it on my hand and went back to rummage for my first aid kit... only to find I didn't have one. So I just pressed the paper towel on there until it stopped.
My thumb still feels wonky.
It was only a tiny little nick, but I'm not sure if I hit a nerve or what because it felt really funny when it happened. I think I'll be fine though.
