As silent as the big one was, it was hard not to notice the large dragon coming into view. Most likely the large brute could do quite a bit of damage if he wanted to, so it was probably a very good thing these dragons weren't here to fight (for the most part).

Raising an eyebrow, Blade looked as the biggest dragon started to unlatch the horses. And soon the same question swam through his mind of how they were going to fly with everyone. Certain they'd have little problems with the horses, but the carriage would probably be too much, even for the remaining two.

He tried to think through what draconic lore he knew of. There was one thing that came to mind, but he said nothing of it. He wasn't sure if any of the stories he heard were actually true after all.

Nodding to her captain, Branka made sure her weapon was secured at her belt before moving towards the horses to grab onto one of their harnesses. The horse nickered nervously, as it really didn't know what was going to happen to it. But for now it didn't struggle.

"All set whenever you boys are," she uttered while looking over towards the group.

"Aye aye," Kylar stated in English giving a mock salute before he grabbed hold of the remaining horse. Looking to Branka he gave a slight nod before he stretched out his wings to prepare for flight. "Do you think if we can't figure out what to do with them, we'll get to eat them?" He asked his female companion as he started to lift off the ground with the horse in tow.

Sohki looked to the feline, an almost amused smile crossing his lips. "Well simple, Durzo will fly you there." Nodding to Durzo the large dragon walked off a few paces before he stopped and stood perfectly still.

"I really don't understand how one man..."

Almost instantly Durzo began to shift. The bones in his limbs crackled and groaned as they lengthened and grew in size. His form began to distort and in only seconds he began to grow. After a few heartbeats, some that had stopped in Neko's chest, what had once looked to be a man was now a dragon. Durzo towered nearly twenty four feet off the ground at the head which he lowered as he re-approached the wagon. The sun reflected off his red and teal stripped hide making it look like metal.

"Holy s**t," Where the only words that Neko could find to say as he stepped back a bit leaning into the wagon.

"Are we flying?" Mitsu asked Neko as she peered over the bench seat again.

Hearing the young woman...child? Sohki turned in her direction. "Yes, that is the preferred way. You are more than welcome to walk if you like though I don't recommend it. The forest is full of large animals and plants that tend to favor flesh over vegetation.

"Can I walk?" Mitsu asked Neko quietly. He may have forgotten...but she didn't like heights.

With a huff Neko simply turned back toward the wagon. He had a bad feeling that once they were inside it was going to be more like a prison then salvation. "No, you are not walking." With some effort he climbed back into the wagon and waited for Blade. It was going to be interesting to see how everyone felt about this.

"Don't worry small one, I'll be on patrol. If anything or anyone were to fall I will do my best to catch it." The smile he gave said a lot about the effort he would put into it which was little.

Hovering over the wagon, Durzo waited for the remaining being to enter before he lifted it with as much care as possible and took to the air. His enormous leather wings created a large gust of air sending sand in every which direction as he took to the sky. Shortly behind him, Sohki followed suit and they were finally off toward the palace.

The sight of Durzo transforming made Blade's eyes widened. So that was one myth that was true... And for a moment or so he just stood and stared, though not in fear. It was a little shocking to see the big dragon for sure though.

Soon, he snapped out of his wonder and quickly climbed into the wagon, still somewhat mystified. He heard something about Mitsu asking if she could walk, but he wasn't paying a whole lot of attention to the others at the moment. He wasn't even really thinking about the dragons' attitude towards them regarding the possibility of them falling out.

"Dunno. But the one that came in before had one of these too remember," snorted Branka before smirking wryly "Maybe if we're lucky though we won't have room to host two more of these beasts."

With a laugh, she spread her wings and started flying with the horse. As they went airborne, she glanced over at Durzo and the caravan, hoping to spot any signs of terror the inhabitants may have right about now.

Riyo had been quietly observing the hubub outside, occasionally glancing to Atticus. Suspicious? She guessed there was a small inkling of that. But the relief was still greater.

Or, it was, before one of the dragons grew more than three times its normal size. Riyo's eyes widened to the size of large round marbles while her heart began to beat faster. "I've never seen anything that big." She squeaked out as it's large snout got closer to them.

Atticus didn't say it, but this was also the first time he saw something so incredibly big. Now he really didn't like this.

But the worst was yet to come. Both of them flinched when the dragon took flight.

"What is it-" Riyo had began to ask what the huge beast was doing, but her answer would come when the wagon was shaken and LIFTED off the ground. It didn't seem possible, but her eyes grew wider. Her head snapped to the back of the wagon to look out. And she didn't like what she saw. "Where is the ground going?" She meekly asked, feeling all of her courage wave at her from the ground as they ascended.

"W-we don't belong here. We're not supposed to be in the air!" Her voice cracked at high pitched frequencies. Her fingers had been clawing the wood, but that didn't work well enough to make her feel any better. Her eyes quickly looked around for the closest thing that would give her some feeling of stability, and since Atticus fell over at a finger point, that thing was Yuki. Before there was any time for objection, her arms clung to him like a bear to a tree.

Atticus didn't mind. He vaguely recalled the feel of flight. The wind holding you up. He definitely missed it. So he figured he'd enjoy this cheap imitation while it lasted.

Mitsu let out a squeal as they were lifted into the air and nearly jumped ship if Neko hadn't caught her in the process.

"Just sit and calm yourself," He said quietly. Though he didn't like the feeling of being so high up with their fates resting on how well of a grip this dragon had on the carriage....he could bare it calmly.

"B.b..but," Mitsu began to shake looking at the retreating ground below them. Out of fear she began to dig her claws into Neko's arm to hold on for dear life. Once they were over the trees she began to experience a fit of vertigo unable to look away from the horrible sight of how high they were.

"Ouch," Neko hissed trying to pry Mitsu's claws from his arm. "Just, don't look down." When she didn't follow his instructions, more likely petrified in place, he reached up with his free arm and drew her close pressing her head to his chest trying to cover her eyes. "Just close your eyes."

Tobi oddly didn't seem to mind the ride. He was still considerably weak from his wound and the heat, but he sat up calmly enjoying the feeling of the air whipping through the wagon.

The total flight time was no more the thirty minutes. Once they were well within the walls of the ancient city Durzo landed and placed the wagon down with care. Once it was released from his grasp he quickly transformed back into his large human-like state. Rotating his shoulders a bit to get reacquainted with this form he approached the wagon as Sohki landed beside it.

"So how was the flight?" Sohki asked with the slightest hint of a grin to his face. He was generally able to keep his face blank for the most part, but it was hard to hide his amusement.

There really was no missing the sounds of transformation; the giant dark shadow that grew over top of the wagon... Or the giant dragon head that peeked in to them before lifting them up and setting off.

Hitsu wasn't entirely sure what to think, at first. The only dragon she'd yet to meet seemed harmless enough to her, so perhaps these would be just as well. The flying part was certainly not fun, though... She tried to keep herself sitting along the edge of the wagon where she had been, though soon she laid down clutching her stomach; closing her eyes. With the heat, and the movement, eating not long ago wasn't faring well now.

Yuki hadn't screamed in response to the massive ******** dragon that picked them up; because he couldn't have found his voice even if he would have wanted to. It was probably for the best, Neko would have joyously reminded him until the day he died of how he had screamed like a woman in his terror.

It wasn't until he heard Riyo's voice shrieking that he finally spoke, wide-eyed and tail frizzed to at least three times its normal size; "<******** we're going to die!" Riyo clung, Yuki stumbled. Balancing in something that was moving didn't work out so well, actually. With a startled shout; amazingly not womanlike; he hit the floor and just laid there swearing and shouting loudly of how they were all ******** and dead.

Unlike the others, Blade was quietly enjoying the experience. During the flight, he found himself idly watching the earth below. It was a little unnerving to be honest as he never experienced anything like flight. But the feeling left and he just absorbed it.

From somewhere behind, he heard Riyo squeak that they were going to die, but he didn't think there would be any issue. And before he even knew it, they were back on the earth with Durzo back to being in a humanoid state.

with a slight grin, he hopped on out of the wagon and looked around at the city surrounding them before turning towards the lead Dragon.

"That was quite an experience," he replied. The thief took note of the hint of amusement in the dragon's expression, but didn't think much of it at the moment.

When it was time, Branka set the horse down carefully. The beast did not seem all too amused with the flight and was rather glad to be on firm ground once again. It would have bolted, but the dragons all around it made the horse rather nervous and thus it decided against it.

Riyo shrieked when Yuki fell over. Wide eyed, she clung for dear life. Even tighter when he started screaming about how ******** they were. Very quickly, she managed to drift off into her happy place, where nobody was shouting and the ground was under their feet. Maybe there was a rainbow directly over them with a waterfall nearby. Yes. Everybody was smiling and having fun.

Too bad it wasn't real. She slowly began to regain her senses around the time they landed. The wagon had stopped moving, so either they were dead in hell and being lured into a false sense of security, or they were on solid ground again. "Is it safe?" She asked quietly, not daring to let go until the situation was verbally labeled as safe.

"We're on solid ground again......I dunno about safe," Neko said softly pulling Mitsu away from him and exiting the wagon.

Mitsu looked like a disheveled mess. Her tail was frizzed out in a giant puff which she tried to smooth out before she exited the wagon. Shakily she climbed out, glad to be on solid ground and made promises with said ground that they would never part ways again.

Once the shock of flight had settled a little, Mitsu finally looked up and took in the city, her eyes growing as wide as saucers. They had seen big cities in their travels but they hadn't seen anything like this! The streets were so wide and spacious..which made Mitsu wonder how often they might walk about in their dragon form.

"This way," Sohki said shortly having absorbed all the amusement he could get from the situation. Without waiting to see if they would follow he began to head toward the palace where the Elder would be waiting. Durzo stayed back and waited for everyone to move. He would be sure there would be no stragglers.

Kylar landed shortly after Branka, setting the horse down rather roughly. The beast began to buck and throw a general fit until he grabbed the reigns to calm it. "Gah, why do they have these things? They seem pretty worthless." Tugging the horse along he began to lead it to where they were keeping the other beast for the time being.

She felt so sick....

Her head was hurting, and she could hardly move. Her throat was dry, and her body ached for a source of water....

It was a stupid move, really. Any moron could of told her it would be suicide to go through the desert. No matter how well prepared, you don't send a fin tribe member through the driest part of the world.

But she didn't have much of a choice. If she was going to escape the chance of being tracked or followed, she would have to go for the place that she would be less likely to be found. If shun was gonna track her down, he would stay close to the river.

Besides, she thought she could handle it. It would only be a few days right? And she was able to purchase a horse to travel on...

It had been less then a day and poke had gone from healthy to unable to maintain consciousness. If she stayed out here any longer she doubt she would make it.

The last thing she could remember was a giant shadow hovering over head, before she had fallen off her horse.

Now, she couldn't make out much of her surroundings, her eyesight still fuzzy and her mind groggy. Oh well...at least it was cooler...

Once the group was moving, Durzo fell back and suddenly vanished. He had other matters to attend to. It was up to him to check up on the other guest and monitor her condition. In a few short minutes he was in the infirmary, a large building not far from the guard tower where he made his way to a secluded room. Opening the doors he found the girl where they had left her, still in bed, the large doors open to the outside to let the cool air in.

Stepping over beside the bed, he reached down to place a hand on her head to check for a lingering fever. She was not a normal human, some sort of aquatic hybrid and thus the desert sun had done her a great deal of damage. She was still hot....maybe? It was hard for Durzo to tell, his own body temperature was much warmer than her's naturally. To be on the safe side he poured some fresh water into a basin, dipped a rag into the water, and placed it on her forehead. Maybe that would help cool her down.

((awwwwww <3))

She heard a door open in the distance, and soon she could see a large shadow come towards her bedside. She stiffened when it reached out to her, but then felt something hot being pressed to her head, before being replaced by something cool. A washcloth maybe? It felt wonderful to her aching head.

She squinted to try and get her vision to clear. All she could make out was a very large man with wings and horns. That was odd... was it a bird-ram hybrid? she was having trouble thinking of what creature had horns and wings.

She couldn't see much of the room either, but she could see a basin of water to her side. She guessed that this person must have rescued her, and was now taking care of her.

".....t..." she tried to say her thanks, but her throat was to dry to form words, and she was starting to get tired again.

As they made their way to wherever the Dragons led them, Blade looked around, marveling. There were a good number of things he wanted to know. Though, he wasn't entirely keen on asking any questions just yet. If possible, he'd try and see if he could find out some of them privately. Unconsciously he went to place his hand by his sword, but was soon reminded that he wasn't exactly equipped with it at the moment. The weapon was still in the back of the caravan. It wouldn't look good for him to run back for it so he just had to go on.

It made him a little uneasy, but not because he was worried they were going to be attacked. He valued the sword greatly, as it was remaining piece of what was lost. Being around here made him think of those things to an extent, so it would have just been nice to have it nearby.

"Beats me. Maybe they're there for emergency rations," offered Branka with a shrug. The horses did look like they would be rather tasty after all. But she figured it would be best not to think about it lest she be tempted to 'sample' a piece.

Within the palace, Hakim waited patiently. A messenger had just told him moments ago that the visitors were on their way, so he could only assume that the meetup went relatively well. Or at least peacefully. The elder speculated what their new guests would be like. He hadn't been given a whole lot of information with the message.

Seeing that the girl was semi-awake and trying to talk, Durzo decided it would be a good time to try to get her to drink some water. Mostly she seemed so out of it he was afraid she would drown. Grabbing a glass from beside the basin he poured more water into it from the pitcher. Leaning over the bed a little he placed a hand under her head to lift it slightly while holding the glass to her mouth. Slowly he tilted the glass, water rising up to meet Poke's lips.

"Drink." His voice grumbled but he tried to make it as soft as possible.

----

Sohki lead the group through the city, careful to keep an eye on them. Not that they had any real place to escape to but it would be such a bother if they tried. He wondered if it would be best to clean them up first before taking them to the Elder, but then decided against it. Let the Elder see the kind of people he had invited here.

"This place is so big," Neko said mostly to himself. He did his best not to snap his head from side to side but his eyes darted all over the place. He took in the people, their homes, their shops. Some of the dragons looked very human while others....certainly didn't. And he noticed that their little group was getting quite a few stares themselves.

"It's still hot," Mitsu whined dragging her feet as she followed. Now without even the slight shade the caravan had offered the sun was beating down on her fun force and while they weren't in the desert this place was still rather warm.

"It's not much further," Sohki pointed up ahead at another set of gates, much smaller than the wall surrounding this city. It took them only minutes to reach it before they stood before the palace that it guarded. The walk to the steps leading inside was like walking through a fantasy. An elaborate garden surrounded the walkway with bright and beautiful flowers that hadn't been seen in eons.

Poke watched the man fill the glass of water, then placed a hand behind her head to prop her up. The heat emanating from his hand was slightly unconformable, but she wasn't about to complain.

when asked to drink, she did her best to swallow down the much needed liquid. She didn't expect her throat to be so dry she couldn't hardly swallow However, she she did cough and splutter a bit, but got a few mouthfuls down.

"T- thankyou" she finally managed to say between coughs.
