.[FoxBoy~DigiMatt]. Oh, you won't win. My dad got 10 Quick Picks for his birthday from his parents. He should win. 'Cause if he wins, I win. After everything I've been through lately it's like I said, I better win... stare

I wish mine were so easy to solve. For me to improve my current finances either my brother needs to get a better job, or I've got to give him the boot. Honestly I'd rather not kick him out, but I'm now digging out of my savings to make up for the cost of our combined grocery bill and Laundry Mat costs now. I don't think he quite understands the gravity of our situation.
I took a pay cut getting a new job in November, I was paid $12 when they laid me off, now I make $9 an hour. In February, my brother was laid off from his full-time $10 an hour job and now works part-time at McDonald's for $7.21 an hour. In the past 6 months we've both had $3 an hour pay cuts, but at least I work full-time. I'm now considering where to pick up a second job, but my hours of availability are limited severely because of my first job. I'm gone from my home 9:15pm to 8:45am with work and commuting via public transportation. I need 7 hours of sleep, and 2 hours for cooking, getting ready to sleep, and getting ready for work. I have less than 4 hours of unclaimed time each day... I'm sure you see my conundrum... I need a decent paying job with short hours that's close to home. Now where in the heck do I get a job like that?

Right now I'm trying to avoid lusting after all of the awesome items. Pretty as they are I have neither the cash nor the gold funds to get them, and I lack the time necessary to quest them at the moment. emo

Times are tough.. hey! *shoves away a temptation to sing from Rent* Where'd that come from?
So yeah, interviews are literally smothered with job applicants, who are in the same pickle as we are. Even when someone has the best intentions, without the proper qualification and experience, they're simply SoL.
Hooray for living through a major depression. We're supposed to hit rock- bottom between the years 2010 and 2011, so the worst is still to come and a number of us are already feeling the effects.
*plops herself in a chair and crosses her arms* Too much reality isn't nice.. can't it go away now?
