Liv sat in the corner of the common room next to a window, her feet tucked under herself and blanket over her lap. Curled up in her favorite armchair with her favorite book, she watched the rain drizzle away outside the walls of HQ. All had been quiet lately, and she briefly wondered what the other half of the war was doing as she sat there, cozy with her fairytale in hand. Her fingers absentmindedly stroked the edges of the book as she became lost in thought for a few minutes, her gaze directed out to the grounds but her eyes unseeing.

Lavi slipped into the Common Room with a new book he'd gotten as a gift for his birthday in one hand, a cup of cocoa in the other. He made for his favourite spot on the couch, but noticed Liv sitting at the window. With a smile, he passed the couch in favour of a chair nearer to her. "Hey Liv." He sat down slowly, careful not to spill his cocoa. "How are you?"

She hadn't heard him enter the room, so when he greeted her, she jumped before looking around, "...Lavi..," she laughed a little and pulled the blanket up more, "I'm doing well. It's one of those perfect days to stay in and curl up with a book, isn't it?" she nodded her head towards his own book and cup of cocoa.
"How have you been since Luci's party? Gosh, what an event...," she shook her head and sighed with relief that it was over, Luci's birthday having been about two weeks ago, at the end of July.

"It really is," he smiled, pulling his legs up to rest his feet on a nearby footrest, placing the book on his lap and resting a hand on top of it as the other brought the cup to his mouth for a sip. At the memory of Luci's birthday he chuckled fondly. "I've been great... a little jealous my birthday wasn't as big as Luci's, though~" He laughed again, obviously joking, actually rather glad that his party had been much more small-scale, just a gathering of people in a simply decorated Common Room with Jerry whipping up some of his favourite foods.

She smiled and closed her book, repositioning herself so she could be facing him, "Your birthday was really wonderful," she thought about it for a moment and then counted the days before her own birthday, her smile fading as reality smacked her in the face, "....My own birthday is next week...how could that be, already?" she sighed and rubbed her eyes a bit, "Time is really flying."

"Yeah, it is..." Lavi's eyebrows creased a little in a frown, sipping some more cocoa, thinking of how long he'd already been at this particular record. Six years was a really long time, longer than he'd stayed anywhere before, and he wondered how long it would still go on. "I'm sure your birthday will be amazing, too, though. Is there anything particular you want for a present...?"
