Dr. Fomite Streamjumper Ok, AG pokelamers. What's the difference between HeartGold and SoulSilver? Is it just a few different beasties in each, or is there a real difference in the games? I ask because I'm getting Stinky one since he's now into pokemans and has a birthday coming up. And I want to continue being the best uncle EVAR.
The plot differs only a little, in that the story has you pursue a different "legendary" Pokemon (the one that's on the cover) in each game, though you've got the chance to get the other version's legendary a little later in the game. As such, there's a slight difference in the order of one quest. Otherwise the story's the same.
Thanks. That helps a ton. I'll probably go with HeartGold due to mantas, tigers, and monkeys.

Gonna do it tomorrow when I swing by the apartment to drop off my application. Kaiser's away at school (some three hours, so lonely sometimes, haha), but the next time he's back I'll give you a heads up, and take off a Friday night. Alcohol, food and zombie co-op sounds like a good way to spend it.

I went with SoulSilver for cute foxies. I don't really play much any more, but I've got bred extras of most of the SS version exclusives. Lemme know if Stinky wants me to trade him any. whee
