Chrysant 3.14 Chrysant As well as Zero's, it's also apparently Akimbo's and L0ki's birthdays too. ... I miss people who used to be on here, but are no longer. emo emo It's ironic of me to say it, since I disappeared for like a year, huh. sweatdrop Well, the first step to getting them back is to set a trap and put some bait in. I suggest one of those huge mousetraps that we put pineapple in the middle to try and lure Aki in.

3.14 yawnz. I slept horrible last night. So I stayed home from work. But now I have to work Wednesday, blerg. Also, I am covered in mosquito bites. crying I think the only good solution to mosquito bites is to bite them back. They'll never learn otherwise.

Chrysant Another job interview tomorrow, hope it goes better than all the previous ones that have resulted in negative amounts of jobs. Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great!

Day One of Comic Con is done. This was just the preview day, which was still pretty crowded, but not as bad as it'll be later. Saw some cool stuff in the exhibit hall, but tomorrow I'm going to go around and possibly try to find some webcomic artists I read (Randy Mulholland, Phil Foglio, etc) and finish looking around the incomprehensibly massive dealer's room. Maybe see what I can find there game-wise to check out.

Making the bed in the LunaGator household.
Remove fitted sheet from linen closet. Place fitted sheet on bed. Remove fitted sheet. Remove cat. Replace fitted sheet. Grab flat sheet. Place flat sheet on bed. Remove flat sheet. Remove cat. Grab comforter. Place comforter on bed. Remove comforter. Remove cat. Replace comforter. place pillows on bed. Cat remains on newly made bed.
Every single flipping time I make the bed. It's even worse when I fold laundry... sweatdrop

Chrysant Nil pois. sweatdrop Oh well, back to the hunt. How do you find out so fast? Whenever I have job hunted it was Interviewer: Yes, this went great! We'll give you a call and let you know! Me: iiie job is go! Day later, no call. Two days later, no call. Call to inquire, and let call be thrown around office until eventually dropped. Never get call. Sadness.

Too bad, TE. Hopefully you manage to snag something soon.
If anyone decides to get Minecraft, lemme know. Since I now know a ton more than when I started out, I began a new map to use my new knowledge to build something awesome... a pretty large keep. So far it is shaping up to be 4 12x12 yard stone towers (probably 3 floors, a roof with crenelations and defenses, plus some basement levels eventually) separated by 52 yards of three-layer walls in a square. So far one of those walls is out in the sea and forming a harbor, the far wall will likely extend into a small bailey of its own with killing grounds and murder holes. The two side walls (which I might extend another 26 or so yards for a longer keep) might have smaller (probably 9x9) towers along their length here and there just for coolness sake.
I aim to put a large (30 foot diameter or so) circular tower in the middle, probably coming out of the top of a small citadel. It'll eventually narrow a bit so I can easily raise a spire up to nearly maximum height so I can put a lighted sphere at the top as a spawn point landmark beacon so I don't have trouble making my way home when I start really exploring the world other than my current strip-mining and (when resources permit) blasting the mountain this is replacing for resources.
I've already dubbed the ocean I'm building at the shore of "the Aem Sea", and aim to theme out some of the bits of this keep (and nearby environment) after the guild and some of our in-jokes... and if people are onboard when the game goes multiplayer, we can take our places in said fortress. Until then, I can upload current versions of the map for people to play around in if they shell out for the game.

Me: iiie job is go! Day later, no call. Two days later, no call. Call to inquire, and let call be thrown around office until eventually dropped. Never get call. Sadness. That's what usually happens with me too, however as this was a job at the secondary school (or high school, you crazy Americans) I knew a lot of the staff so guess they just had the courtesy to tell me at the time. But I also generally get the same feedback as you. Interviewer: Great, you were great! We love you! We'll let you know. Me: Awesome! Job at last. .... Week later when I phone up. Interviewer: Oh, yeah. You were great, really nice guy and all, but we found someone with more experience/someone better suited/someone who doesn't actually want a job as badly as you do so we want to piss you off ******** you ginger boy, YOU NO TAKE JOB.

Is it a bad thing that this thread gave me both the warm fuzzies and made me giggle like a madman? Also, people are making tnt powered railguns that FIRE TNT SHELLS. Goddamn, but I'm building a bunch of these into the castle walls.
