Yeah, back. Sort of. Just praying my literature grade at the least meet my parents' deadline, or I'm in serious trouble... *mutters* This quarter was hell... xP Not Physics, not Latin giving me trouble... Did unexpectedly well in the subjects I claimed would fail... However...though I did well in the grammar/vocabulary test...in the literature tests...those stupid details. INSIGNIFICANT details. >=O
I was asked for Ben Franklin's nickname on the latest test I got back. Obviously, I got it wrong. So there went five points. Another five points off too, for forgetting aphorism had some obscure relationship to poetry... -_- And then like two points off because the teacher phrased the question obscurely, I gave the title of a work instead of the author...
Anyways, the last one I took wasn't any better. How the heck was I supposed to know the devil in 'The Devil and Tom Walker' by Washington Irving was called 'Old Scratch'? And I could care less about Tom Walker's occupation! GRAWR! Literature class is making me so...angry... scream scream scream scream scream
I hold to my claim literature tests are supposed to test plot and devices...heck, maybe even the author's biography...I'll be even fine with dates! Not stupid little details like nicknames... stare
