Thard_Verad Perhaps, but it might also be a more orderly affair. Two pokemon and their trainer acting in unison would make it easier to target a single Pokemon for capture. Two wild pokemon acting on their own seems a lot more chaotic. So I guess that brings us to the final question: Must the Pokemon you wish to catch be the last one on the opposing field, as it is in Gen IV and V; or can you attempt it with both foes standing as in Gen III? Gen III style. If you want to do it Gen IV+ style you can. But ultimately, I don't see capturing mechanics in a double battle to be a big deal.
