Blah, I didn't much care for Underworld, despite the fact that it's on the banner. It was watchable, but the portrayal of the races was wrong.. Lycans were all big dirty men and vampires mostly female with cigarettes stuck out their mouths.

I hated Underworld.. Like Rikku said, Vampires were too sexed up. Its not like that under the nit and grit.. Vampires have a detatchable jaw (think Predator) and have to use it to feed.. Not some poncy fangs. Lycans are graceful, and not all are men. In books, Lycans have been known to keep cultures as they have been alive since the dawn of time - Underworld neglected all that in favour of some slut in leather.

Best Vampires - Anne Rice Vampires. Best Werewolves - White Wolf (World of Darkness) Werewolves, in my opinion. I also like the portrayal of werewolves in Ginger Snaps, the sequal and prequal were ok, but I like Ginger in Ginger snaps, the way lycanthropy makes her act all lusty and stuff.

Cadyryeith Ap-Morthwyl Best Vampires - Anne Rice Vampires. To be honest, I haven't seen many werewolf flicks with the right kinda' portrayed image.. Dark Wolf was good for the pursument by scent and the lust factor, Cursed was good for the symptoms and 'alpha' mentioning.. A new film is in progress, called 'Freeborn'. Thats supposed to be like the Star Wars final, to all werefans.. The trailer is teasing. Shows you someones eye forming.. But the storyline fits Lycans so well. A Lycan falls for a mortal, he is told to kill her or turn her.. The trailer left me with the impression he turned in her arms.
But the things I liekd were the eyes - at one point he holds a lighter up, and golden eyes are flicking back at him.. Looked great.

Golden eyes are a must-have for Lycans, I think.

That's because wolves have brownish gold eyes, silly.
One day, I think I'm gonna write a book or draw a manga that rightly portrays vampires, werewolves, and demons. While I like the macabre, a lot of movies and books just don't hold a candle to what is the real deal. Dracula was a bore and though I like Van Helsing, the vampires weren't realistic (though the CG was awesome!) and the werewolves...they were just meh.

I actually liked the over-the-top Von Helsing Vamps, the way the women hung back and wailed and writhed as their master moved foreward. I liked the exaggerated movements and stuff.

Honestly, I DESPISED the vamps on Van Helsing. They made them seem more like daemons, as opposed to 'cursed' humans. It disturbed me greatly. The fact that Helsing turned Lycan was nifty, but he didn't have to be like nine feet tall. That was weird.
