After playing with the last batch of Chakra he was able to get which was actually the most had had to play with yet. He walked up to Andou boucing a ball of chakra in his hand proudly, showing of really, the fact that he was behind everyone else was lost on him. "I'm finished Sensei Chakra molding mastered." He said with a somewhat stupid smile showing him the chakra ball in detail. "What's next? Do I get to learn some super powerful jutsu now?"

He gave up - on the larger animal test. He stuck with the small animal since he needed to graduate, even tough it meant stooping to a lower level. But this time, he had to wait much, much longer for a smaller size creature to crawl through the area. He roughed up his hair in nervousness, feeling all of the people in the class's eyes upon his neck. "Come on.. Small animal, small animal!" and as he wished for a creature to show, it showed. A cat had crawled up on the opposite roof of where he was. He instantly preformed the seals and transformed into a black and white, colored cat. He squimpered away towards the spot infront of the desk, to then turn into Masanori with a bow already executed. He then walked back to his place beside his father.

[add +1 to your chakra control... i'll give you your exp rewards later XD (don't forget to post your previous trainings and this one in the exp scroll, it's for recording purposes and just to make it easier for me >.> so i know what to grade.)]

Andou smirked as the child walked up to him, proudly showing off his creation. "Good job," he said lightly. It was still early, but this kid was reminding him a bit of Hiru in terms of attitude. It was that 'I want to learn lots of things' bouncy type attitude.

"Hmmm..." Andou said, looking at the kid and then looking at the prospective genin taking their exams. "Perhaps later. Maybe at the end of the day..." he mused to himself. "I need you to practise a bit more chakra moulding first before you are ready to start learning. What would you prefer..." he asked Shinzu. "I can bring you outside and have you do target practice as well. Or you can stay inside and watch the exam, while practising more chakra moulding."

[i think i'll get you to d20 + 0 roll with chakra control first before teaching you a technique!!]

After seeing how much Masanori had struggled with the transformation exam Hiru started sweating pretty heavily. If that kid who was always apparently brimming with confidence had so much trouble only with the third transformation what were the odds that he would have more success...

Still Hiru gathered his courage and stepped up to the front of the class, glad that only two other students had shown up so far. This helped him relieve his stress level a bit. Shin had been a friend of Hiru since day 1 when they both joined the academy on the same day, and Masanori had been his combat ally against rowdy thugs. After a while, Hiru got his nervousness under control and focused on the task at hand.

He didn't really know what small object he'd turn into... he looked around a bit. Masanori had already done the stool so he needed to find something else. Hiru reached into his pocket and found the blood stained kunai that had cut his forehead a day ago in the forest. It was engraved and made of a copper like material, it would be an interesting transformation. Focusing for barely a few second Hiru vanished in a cloud of smoke. Once it cleared, all that could be seen were two seemingly identical kunais lying on the ground. Even Mokujin-sensei scratched his head a bit trying to find out which one was real.

Proud of his transformation, Hiru shiifted back, ready for the next challenge.

Hiru pretty proud of his first transformation took the kunai back and put it back into his pocket. Next up was the small animal transformation. Of course, Hiru had no idea what to do at first. Masanori's flying squirrel was cool but there was nothing else for him to inspire himself from. So, in a blast of smoke, Hiru transformed into the first thing that srpung into his mind. As the smoke cleared there was a tiny blue fish on the ground with a magnificent sparkle in its scales. It jumped around clumsily as a real fish would out of the water. After a few seconds, Hiru shifted back. With a big smile on his face.

It seemed more and more that Hiru's extensive jutsu training had made this kind of jutsu examination somewhat of a formality. With barely any focus he could near flawless transformations, and this next step was most likely not going to be any different. A mere few seconds after he had reverted from his last transformation, he shifted again. From the cloud of smoke emerged a large shark on the ground clapping its jaws. It was do life like it would most likely have made the fiercest fisherman wet their pants.

The giant shark quickly faded back into smoke. What was once anxiety for Hiru finally fully turned into pleasure as it seemed he could do no wrong with these exercises. Now, he had to find a humanoid to turn into. He looked around a bit, trying to find inspiration. After a while, a slight grin appeared onto Hiru's lips as he vanished into a cloud of smoke. As the screen cleared, a very neat picture appeared from the smoke. Hiru had turned into an almost flawless copy of Mean-sensei. Doing what was most likely the worst impression the universe had ever seen, he made a strange face and said "I'm Andou. I'm stupid, I don't have any emotions and I poison people! Heh heh heh.". He reverted back the next second, giggling.

For this last transformation, Hiru took his time to think of something that would be impressive enough. He must have spent well over two minutes standing at the same spot, trying to find an idea for his big finish. He was a bit rushed in the end since Mokujin-sensei appeared to be losing his patience; so he gave it all he had and vanished in a cloud of smoke that covered the entired room. After a few seconds, what appeared before the others was incredible. Hiru had turned in a near up to scale copy of the fountain in the Hoshigaki district, with all the details from the three shark man slashing at enemies. He even managed to pull off the water that sprayed out of the cut limbs from the victims of the Hoshigaki, just like in the actual one. Hiru then reverted back to normal, pretty confident he had passed this exercise.

Shinzu thought for a moment before making his descision. "Sensei could you teach me some taijutsu? I don't have that much Chakra as is and I need to at least be able to defend myself if I run out of chakra in a battle." The truth was Shinzu always liked the idea of using his physical abilities rather than jutsu plus he knew he had a Wind affinity and much of the jutsu for that, unless you had a giant fan or something similiar, where close combat jutsu. He was already thinking of ways he could combine Wind Ninjutsu with Taijutsu.

Andou nodded at Shinzu's request. "Let's go out to the range then. I expect you to also learn basic hand to hand, but at the moment you don't have a sparring partner. Until then, you can practise some ranged weaponry. Start with shuriken, and then advance to the kunai." He stood up and beckoned Shinzu to follow. "The range is just upstairs, follow me." His tone invited no argument.

After one last look at Hiru (fortunately perhaps for Hiru, this was before he went and did his Andou impersonation), Shin, and [considerably cleaner] rubbish-boy Masanori, Andou travelled up to the training grounds, stopping for just a moment to grab a box of shuriken and kunai from a side cupboard. Eventually they reached the ground level where a couple of targets had already been set up. But Andou wouldn't let Shinzu start yet.

"Before you start, Akara, let's talk for a bit."
Andou picked up a kunai and twirled it around his finger. "What do you think's the best way to throw a shuriken, and a kunai?"

Andou
PostPosted: Fri Jul 09, 2010 5:05 am

"By not putting your finger in the hole. You should hold it lightly in your hand- by the end of the handle and circle on a Kunai and just outside the hole on a shuriken. When you throw it you bend your elbow and arm back throw it forward. Correct Sensei? Or did I wasn't my time over explaining it? Hahaha"

Shinzu thought he had it but he wasn't exactly sure he'd only thrown or even handeld a couple of shuriken and kunai knives in his life and those where some old ones of his father's he found one day while searching through his father's closet. He laughed a little at the memory of terrorizing the neighbor's cat with them but his demeanor changed when he remembered his father who was taken away from him at a young age. He sulked for moment before smiling back at his teacher and waiting for his reply.

"Yes... yes," Andou said. "Well, to be accurate, for the most accurate throw, you would let go of your weapon when your arm is pointing directly at the target. But you have the gist of it." Andou moved to the box, picking up 10 shuriken and handing them to Shinzu. He also had procured a weapons pouch from somewhere, and handed that to Shinzu as well.

"You know what that is," he said talking about the pouch. "It goes around your waist. Every ninja should be able to draw from the pouch and throw with a second. You may not use the pouch in the future, but it's part of the curriculum. Hmm.." Andou put a hand to his chin thoughtfully. "I think you can do the second mark." Andou pointed at a carefully marked out line which was about 20 feet from the targets. "I'd like you to do some target practice then. You'll be given points for each throw. If you manage to pass a certain number, well, there will be a reward." Andou managed an encouraging smirk at this point. He was getting better with working out the stiffness of his facial expression.

Shinzu took the weapons pouch from Andou wordlessly before putting it on and making sure he had a proper fit so that it was comfortable. After everything was just the way he liked it Shinzu loaded the shuriken into the pouch and prepared himself to throw the shuriken. He took careful aim and eyed the target going over what he was going to do in his mind. Then he focused and threw the shuriken. To his surprise it hit the third ring on his first throw.

5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

Shinzu was excited after getting so close to the bullseye on his first throw. He remembered to focus however as he prepared to throw the next one. He got into a rough stance, his hand resting just over the pouch. Then he threw the shuriken and yet again he hit the third ring!

Throw Shuriken

1-4: outside the rings. {0 points}
5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

Shinzu was starting to get a little cocky this time around and it showed as he forgot to focus. He got into his stance regardless though. He watched the target calmly and though about what he was going to do. Then he threw the shuriken once again. This time however he hit the outermost ring.

Throw Shuriken
6 + 1 = 7

5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

He was a little dissapointed that time as it only hit the outermost ring. He started to focus this time as he got in his stance. His hand rested over the pouch. Just as he threw it however and he thought he saw a dog out of the corner of his eye and his concentration broke. Thus his aim was off slightly but he still hit the second ring abeit barely.

Throw Shuriken
9 + 1 = 10
4/10 9 points
1-4: outside the rings. {0 points}
5-9: outermost ring. {1 point}
10-14: 2nd ring. {2 points}
15-19: 3rd ring. {3 points}
20+: bulls eye. {4 points}

Shinzu was glad that he'd hit at least the second ring. He knew he could do better however and prepared to do so. He got into his stance hand resting above the pouch breathing controlled he was ready. Then he threw the shuriken and once again hit the 3 ring. "Got it."

Throw Shuriken
14 + 1 = 15

Andou watched as Shinzu made his throws. They were pretty decent for a new student, maybe Shinzu had practised before? Andou did recall meeting a shinobi with the name Akara many years ago after all. But he wasn't sure if there was a relation. He also wasn't sure what happened to that shinobi... all Andou knew was that he hadn't seen him around much since then. He hadn't seen him around at all since 2 years ago, at the eve of Mistress' arrival, in fact.

"You throw decent," Andou commented on Shinzu's stance. "However, I'd try not to move the shoulder too much. It throws off the aim just slightly."
